Watermelon + coconut water = the most refreshing combination ever! This summer I have been seeking out all kinds of refreshing beverages because of the sweltering heat in Illinois. Luckily I stumbled across an article on Lauren Conrad’s website that clued me in on watermelon coconut water! Not only is it really refreshing, it is also good for you! Here is how you can whip yourself up a batch.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cubed chilled watermelon
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 large lemon
  • Ice cubes

Add all the ingredients together in a blender. If your watermelon is really sweet, adding a generous amount of freshly squeezed lemon boosts the flavor! If you like the taste of coconut, add more coconut water to this. Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Take a sip and see what you think! I adjusted the recipe a bit to fit the sweetness of my watermelon, and you may need to as well.

This drink has a beachy flare to it, so if you are craving a day at the beach but live nowhere near one, then this delicious drink will make you think you are somewhere with your toes in the sand. 🙂
