Mother’s Day only comes once a year and it’s the perfect excuse to show your mom how thankful you are for her! This year, I’ve thought of a few different ways you and your mom can spend her day together. They’re inexpensive and perfect for a day of bonding :)!

  • If you live near a big city, then you most likely have a zoo nearby. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter what age you are, the zoo is still tons of fun! Make sure you check the weather before you head out, just in case the forecast is cold or rain. That’s no fun!Chelsea Crockett - Lip Scrub
  • A more creative idea is to have a spa day together at your house! You can take turns doing each other’s nails, facials, etc. There are so many DIY recipes that you can even make for yourself such as lip scrubs, face masks, etc. (Search these on this site, I have a couple I prefer!)
  • Since Mother’s Day is just before summer, see if your mom wants to plant any flowers or even a garden! You can go pick out what flowers or seeds you want to plant to decorate your home. If you’d rather plant vegetables, pick a place around your house to start your garden. Buy some of your fave veggies and go to town :)!

What are you and your mom planning for the day? Comment below and lemme know!

Ahhhh Christmas break is quickly approaching!  It’s such a wonderful time full of family, friends, and of course, NO school!  So what do you do on those days where you’ve got nothing to do?  I’ve got your complete activity guide to keep you busy and entertained during the most wonderful time of the year! Chelsea Crockett- hot chocolate

  • It’s the season for giving! Give one of your friends a random surprise gift! Even if it’s little, it’ll make their day.
  • Decorate your house! What a better way to get in the spirit?!
  • Have your friends over and do something crazy like have a dance party!
  • Make an assortment of hot chocolates! Try fun flavors like caramel, dark chocolate, and red velvet! Grab some yummy toppings including marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate/caramel drizzle.
  • Buddle up and go outdoor ice skating!
  • Bake cookies and goodies with your family while blasting Christmas music!

Have a wonderful Christmas and remember the reason for the season (hint: Jesus)!

Summer is usually described as weeks of free time and kicking back and relaxing. But, when it actually rolls around, we sometimes find ourselves super busy and full of tasks or activities. Between sports, getting ready for school, chores, work, or anything else cluttering up your summer, you are going to need a way to manage all your time to get the jobs done!

Don’t worry, it’s actually not as hard as you think! Step one is pretty easy. Sit down and grab a pencil and a piece of paper. Write down everything you need to get done. Then, make a list numbering each task with #1 being the most important and your last number being the one that can wait the longest to be completed. This will help you get your priorities straight!Chelsea Crockett - Priorites

Step two. Don’t be afraid to purchase a calendar/planner! This way you will never over-plan yourself. Have you ever planned a sleepover with friends but realize you have practice early the next morning? Writing out your plans for each day will help you avoid certain situations like this. Especially with smartphones nowadays, you can type out different reminders for your highest priority plans so you won’t overdo yourself!

Lastly, remember that you can say “no!” You don’t have to agree to do everything. If you feel yourself starting to get stressed, remember that no one’s making your schedule cluttered but you! Open your schedule and feel your anxiety levels decrease!

Best wishes! – Chels

I love thrift shopping. You can find such cute stuff, and it’s so cheap! If you are in need of a girls night and want a super fun game to play together, I recommend the thrift store game! Here is how you play it:

 1. Split into teams of two.

2. The first team to find and photograph themselves with 10 out of the 20 items on the list wins! You can use your phone to take the pictures which makes it super quick and easy!chelsea crockett thrift store game

3. If the item you find is an article of clothing, then you have to wear it for the picture! NO EXCEPTIONS! 😉

4. You should probably spend at least a couple bucks in the store just to show some courtesy because you practically just used their store as a battleground!

Does this not sound like a total blast?! You all will be laughing so hard the whole time, and you will have an arsenal of awkward pictures of your friends because of all of the goofy clothes you will be trying on! It is a total win win situation! Only got 20$ in your pocket? Then go pop some tags at a thrift shop with your best buds!

 Happy thrifting!

Hey everyone!  Because the weather is so nice during this season, it’s perfect for outside activities.  Water parks, camping, and swimming are all perfect things to do during a hot, sunny day in the summer.  One thing you may have not thought of is the drive-in.

If you have a drive-in near you, it’s a perfect summer way to see that new movie you’ve been wanting to see.  Whether it’s with your family or your best friends, it’s a fun way to see the film.  My favorite thing about the drive-in is bringing a bunch of snacks for you and your guests to enjoy!  Popcorn, candy, and soda are perfectWink.Chelsea Crockett - Drive-In

Maybe you can’t access a drive-in near you, but that’s okay!  There’s another creative way to spend your night!  If you take a projector and set it up facing a solid wall or possibly your garage you’ve made your own drive-in movie theater!  You can set out a few blankets or chairs and have a movie night right in your own yard!  Perfect!
