            Hello lovelies!

One of my favorite things about autumn is the fun that comes with Halloween.  You can find pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns on almost every street.  Aside from being perfect decorations for the season, carving and decorating pumpkins is a fun activity no matter what age you are!  Whether you’re carving for fun or for a decorating competition, you’re going to need unique thoughts to make your pumpkin your own!

A great idea I know girls wilChelsea Crockett - Glitter Pumpkinl love is to glitter-up your pumpkins.  Lay out a few pieces of newspaper and set out your pumpkin.  The best way to do this is to purchase a can of spray adhesive.  Spray your preferred deign on your pumpkin.  While it’s still wet, sprinkle whatever color glitter you want on the glue.  It should turn out girly, sparkly, and attention-catching!

Chelsea Crockett - Fretwork PumpkinOne idea that’s not just for the ladies, is a fretwork patterned jack-o-lantern.  An example of this, is the picture on the left.  After scooping out the seeds and insides of the pumpkin, you will be ready to go. To begin this design, take a thick piece of tape and make a ring around your pumpkin.  You’ll need to have a drill with two different sized drill bits, one large and one small.  Then, drill rows of circles around the tape creating a design you think looks best!  When your design is complete, place a votive candle inside the pumpkin and light it.

Voila!  You have a polka dotted, glowing jack-o-lantern!

I hope these ideas gave you a little originality this fall.  I can’t wait to see how yours all turned out!

                                                                           Hey everyone!

Halloween’s right around the corner, which means bonfires, hayrides, parties, and other festivities are, too!  If you’re hosting (or helping host) a Halloween-themed party, you’re going to need fun and festive treats for your guests to snack on.  Below are a few creative and decorative ideas for yummy foods and snacks!

Chelsea Crockett - Apple PlatterAll candy and sweets aside, fun appetizers are a perfect way to kick off your party.  One of my favorite ideas is a dipping platter for apples.  Get an oval shaped platter and spread an eight ounce tub of cream cheese in the middle of the platter.  Then lay apple slices all around the outer ring of the cream cheese!  Drizzle some caramel sauce on top and bon appetite!

The most important part of Chelsea Crockett - Ghost PretzelsHalloween, is the sweets!  Anything dipped in chocolate is perfect for me, so this treat is a cute idea and so yummy!  Take a bunch of pretzels sticks and dip about one third of each them into white chocolate.  Then, take black icing and draw little faces on them for the resemblance of ghosts!  Some stores even sell little icing pens to make it a lot easier for decorating.

Another dessert idea is to make spider cupcakes.  Ice your cupcakes with chocolate icing and use strips of black licorice for legs.  Small marshmallows with a dot of black icing in the middle will work for eyes.  It’s a silly way to celebrate the season.  Enjoy this time of year with family, friends, and the tasty treats that come with it!

                                                Happy Halloween!

            Hi everyone!

It’s officially fall and we all know what that means!  Spooky costumes and creepy get-ups are a necessity for trick-or-treating or Halloween parties.  Since I am a beauty guru, I’m going to show you a few looks you can pull off using makeup this holiday.

First off, I recently put up a video showing how I transformed my little brother into a zombie.  For a tutorial on the look, go to my YouTube channel and watch the video entitled “Zombie Makeup Tutorial!”  This makeup is perfect for any boy, or girl, that wants to have a scaretastic costumeJ.

Another fun idea for some of my younger fans is a scarecrow.  For this look, all you need is some black eyeliner, orange face paint, and red lipstick.  To start the process, take your eyeliner and draw a line extending from the corners or your lips to the bottom of your ears.  Then draw a triangle on the tip of your nose.  Throughout the lines, make dash marks to give the effect of stitching that any scarecrow should have.  Fill in the triangle on your nose with orange face paint.  While using the face paint, make two circles on the centers of your cheeks.  Lastly, take your eyeliner and draw squiggly lines coming fromChelsea Crockett – Fairy beneath your eyes almost like sun rays.  Finish it off with your red lipstick and you’re complete!

Chelsea Crockett - FairyFor my girly-girls out there, a fairy look is just right for a Halloween get-up!  To pull this off, create your own kind of swirls coming from your eyes.  If you’re confused, check out the example to the left.  Make sure you use a lot of glitter and rhinestones.  Nothing says fairy more than a bunch of sparkle!

I can’t wait to see how they all turn out!

1. Candy Corn Nails

If you love candy corn as much as I do, then you will absolutely adore these nails. I love these nails because they remind me of candy corn, which is a must-have snack for fall! These nails will definitely get you in the fall spirit! And because they only feature three colors, in three straight lines, they are super easy to achieve! If your personality is girly or goofy, then these are for you!

2. Spider Web Nails

These nails scream Halloween! What describes Halloween better than creepy crawly spiders? I like these nails because they are simple yet fun! You just need black and white nail polish and BAM, you are all set to create this look! In order to get the thin lines in the spider web part of the nail, dip a toothpick into the nail polish and use it to create the web. If you favor a darker kind of style, then this is the look for you!

3. Chic Halloween Nails

And now for my favorite of them all! I absolutely adore these nails because, to me, they are so classy. The Halloween orange with a dash of black and white chevron is fabulous! It is the perfect mix of cute and festive. If you favor a preppy or classy sort of style, then these nails are the ones for you!

Which of these nails are your favorite? Let me know in the comment section below!

Hi Insiders!

Halloween is just around the corner!  It’s such a festive time of the year when you can dress up for a night and not be yourself.  Costumes can be expensive, time consuming, and some people don’t like to dress up; so what if you want to engage in the Halloween festivities, but don’t want to wear a costume?  I’ve got a few ideas for you to still get in the Halloween spirit without fully dressing up! Chelsea Crockett- ghost sweatshirt

Try hitting up a store like Forever21 or even a thrift shop and searching for a graphic tee or sweatshirt with a cute pumpkin, ghost, or black cat.  Try wearing an over-sized sweatshirt with leggings and boots or a graphic tee with your favorite pair of jeans! Style it like you normally would and you’re good to go!  Another simple Halloween statement piece you could wear is a spooky pair of leggings.  Find a crazy pair with skeleton bones or tiger stripes on them.  Throw on a solid colored tee and you’ve got yourself a subtle, yet stylish costume!

Another festive way to get ready for Halloween is with Halloween colors!  If you don’t want to wear something affiliated with Halloween try wearing orange, black or purple.  This way, you’ll be sporting the holiday colors without having to dress up!  Halloween isn’t all about dressing up, but it is part of the fun.  Don’t forget these simple tips for being festive without actually wearing a costume!

Happy Halloween!

Hi Insiders!

Halloween is such a fun time of the year.  It’s the one day you can dress up as anything you want and not act yourself for a day.  So what do you do when you’re too old to Trick-or-Treat?  I’ve got a few fun Halloween ideas to keep the evening as exciting as it as when you were a kid!Chelsea Crockett- bonfire

Have all of your friends over for a bonfire.  Instead of dressing up in your own costume, create a themed bonfire.  Have everyone show up in their wackiest pajamas or as their favorite Disney character.  Complete your bonfire with s’mores, spooky music, and ghost stories.  Put plenty of blankets outside, so everyone can cuddle up and enjoy the night out by the fire.

If you’re looking for a lazier night with a few friends, give your parents the night off and watch scary movies and hand out candy to the neighborhood children.  Although you’ll be staying indoors, you’ll still be in the Halloween spirit!

If you’re planning on going all out this year, invite all of your friends over for a Halloween bash!  Clear out your basement, have all of your friends dress up, and dance the night away.  Be sure to provide plenty of crazy Halloween Chelsea Crockett- Halloween donutssnacks, like donut eyeballs (donut holes with red goo as the veins and a blue M&M as the iris) and a long music playlist.  You could even set up a station to make your own caramel apples.  Be creative with your party!

Happy Halloween!

Hey Insiders!

So, I’ve been thinking about things I enjoy doing in the fall.  One thing that is always fun is Fright Fest at Six Flags.  It’s thrills by day and chills by night. When the sun goes down, it transforms into a Halloween playground!  It goes from Friday through Sunday on certain dates in September and October.  You can check the Six Flags website for more info.

Costumes are allowedChelsea Crockett - Fright Fest for children 12 and under.  They even have some trick or treating going on.  However, for teens and older, once the sun sets, ghouls and goblins come out to haunt the streets!  It’s always fun being chased by a ghost!  You can experience your favorite roller coaster in the dark as well.  They offer zombie paintball, a haunted house (Even though those aren’t real, I still freak out!) and a gruesome maze.

So Insiders, if its thrills and chills you are looking for this fall, Six Flags offers a haunting adventure.  Grab some friends, brave the streets, and find some creepy characters at the park!  It’ll be lots of fun and you just might start a fall tradition with your friends!

                                                   Happy Haunting!
