I travel a lot, and I foresee a lot of travel in my future! We are coming up on spring and summer, and those are the times when most people travel. If you travel a lot or plan to in the future, there are a few useful packing tips that you NEED to know to make packing much simpler. These have really come in handy for me these past few months because I have been on the road a lot!

  1. Easy charger storage: Grab an old sunglasses case and store your chargers and headphones in it! This is an easy way to keep all of your essential electronic accessories in one place, and it protects them from getting tangled or broken in your suitcase.
  2. Bobby pin tip: I never know where to pack my bobby pins, because wherever I pack them they always end up disappearing by the end of my trip. Store them in an empty Tic Tac container to keep from losing them!
  3. Jewelry storage: Use an empty pill container to store your jewelry! This keeps it from getting tangled or broken and also helps you not to lose it. Nothing is worse than losing one of your favorite earrings during your travels!
  4. Protect your razor: Clip a binder clip to the end of your razor while traveling to both protect the blade and protect the things you pack from getting ruined by the blade.
  5. Lotion storage: If you want to bring travel-sized amounts of lotion or things of that sort, squirt a little in a contact case! These are perfect for storing liquids during travel because the lids close up nice and tight and prevent any leakage.

Happy travels!

Dressing up for Halloween never gets old.  Whether you’re 5 or 25, everyone finds a little bit of enjoyment in finding the perfect costume!  Although there’s nothing wrong with dressing up solo, getting your friends together to pull off an awesome group costume makes the night even more memorable!

  • If you need something super quick and simple, emoji t-shirts are the answer!  All you need to do is purchase plain yellow t-shirts from Walmart, Target, etc.  Pick your fave emoji and create the face on your shirt using whatever color felt material you need.  Simply cut out the shapes and hot glue each piece of felt onto your shirt!Chelsea Crockett - Emoji Costumes
  • If you have a big enough group, be the seven dwarves from Snow White!  All you need are different colored long-sleeved shirts (colors that the dwarves wear), beanies, felt (black, yellow, and white), laced boots, and high white socks.  For the white felt, cut letters and hot glue them to the shirt to spell out whoever you are, whether it be Happy or Sleepy!  With the black felt, make a belt with a square yellow buckle on the front.  After you do this, you’re set!
  • Basing costumes off you and your friend’s favorite movie is easy and such a fun idea!  There are so many movies to pull costume ideas from such as Disney movies, Mean Girls, etc.  Pick the easiest and best one to go off of and go from there!

Let me know below what you and your friends are being for Halloween!  You never know, I may need some help myself!

Happy Halloween! – Chelsea

Simple for the Season

Have you ever heard the saying “less is more?” Well… this also applies to fashion, too! Sometimes the cutest outfits, are the simplest. Since fall is the time to break out boots and sweaters, here are some quick, autumn outfits to throw on that are simple yet stylish.

Chelsea Crockett - Sweater CardiganAs a girl, I know you can never have too many sweaters! An oversized sweater is the comfiest thing to throw on with leggings without looking like you just rolled out of bed. With a chunky necklace, jeans, and riding boots, you can dress up your outfit; however, put on some combat boots and leggings and you’re set for a more casual outing.

Now I might sound like I’m a little obsessed with sweaters, but big sweater cardigans are perfect for a casual, fall look. A sweater like the one on the left is super trendy with a pair of boots and a scarf. (Tip: Try to find clothing that is warm colors such as reds, browns, yellows, etc. It gives your look 10x more of a fall feel than pastel or neon colors.)

Lastly, next time you’re at Forever 21 or even Target, pick up a couple plaid or denim button ups! The cutest way to rock these is with a pair of leggings and a top-knot or a high bun. For the denim button ups, dress them up with a chunky necklace or a scarf :)!

Let me see what simple and stylish outfits you put together for the fall! Or… let me know in the comment section below!
