Are you facing heartbreak? Having a broken heart is one of the hardest life obstacles to overcome. During these times when we feel the lowest is when God can show Himself to us the most. His word gives us the encouragement we need to press on.

Moving past the disappointment and burden of a broken heart is a big task. It can hinder us from being who God has called us to be. What if your brokenness could be wiped away? God knows what you are feeling and going through because He has seen it before. This isn’t his first rodeo! He even made time to write down His advice for you so that when you are feeling down or He feels far away and out of reach, you can always find reassurance. If you are experiencing brokenness, these verses are for you.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not flow over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The fire will not destroy you.” Isaiah 43:2

“The Lord is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope.” Psalm 34:18

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:2-3

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our sins; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

“Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will give you strength, and for sure I will help you. Yes, I will hold you up with My right hand that is right and good.” Isaiah 41:10

“God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble. So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and the mountains fall into the center of the sea, and even if its waters go wild with storm and the mountains shake with its actions.” Psalms 46:1-3

“He is the one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

In each of these verses, the Lord promises to be our strength and our comforter. We just have to let Him!
