Sometimes, doing good is exhausting. Sometimes it can feel like you are the only one who really cares, and the only one who is trying to make a difference and do some good. You can feel alone and tired of being different. I know the feeling. Sometimes, the thought crosses my mind that it would be so much easier to be like the world wants me to be. It would be so much easier to go with the flow and conform to society’s standards. But then I remember Galatians 6:9 which says “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.”
This verse pretty much says “Don’t give up!”, don’t let the world get you down and tell you that the good you are doing is not making a difference, and that you are incapable of changing the world. It can feel so lonely when other people don’t accept the way you live or how you act. But the Bible says to not grow weary. Don’t let the world exhaust you and make you think that you aren’t making a difference. Every good deed you do, every nice word you say, and every selfless action just shows people God’s love through you. God says that it will all be worth it if we do not give up! We will make a difference, and we will change people’s lives for the better.
Whenever you feel like you are just one person, and that your “doing good” is not making a difference, know that it truly is. Do not grow weary, don’t give up, because it is so worth it.
