College is one of the most expensive endeavors you will take on during your lifetime. It is crazy expensive. Like, CRAZY. So many college grads are buried in debt, and I am going to do my best not to be one of them. The most important way I am going to do this is by applying for scholarships! Scholarships are free money that you can apply for. Here are a few tips on how to find college scholarships.

  1. Check your school’s website: The first place you should check for scholarships is the school you will be attending. Many colleges often have scholarships based on what year in school you are, what your GPA is, and your major. Your adviser will also have helpful info about your school’s scholarships!college_loan
  2. If you are a minority: There are thousands of scholarships out there for minority groups. These kinds of scholarships are offered by states, charities, companies, and even by the government.
  3. Your parent’s work: Check to see if your parent’s business or company offers scholarships. You can also check local companies in your town or city to see if they have any scholarship opportunities.
  4. Search the web: There are tons of websites where you can input all of your personal info and school related qualifications and then they send you scholarships you qualify for. All you have to do is apply for them! The websites do all of the hard work for you.

Scholarships are a great way to be rewarded for your talents and achievements! Plus, they are free money! Who wouldn’t love that?
