Smiling is something I do almost every minute of the day. This being said, I want my smile to be as bright and white as it can be! There are certain do’s and don’ts that have to be followed when whitening your teeth. To make sure you know all there is to know about teeth whitening, I’m here to help!
First comes first, the number one rule of teeth whitening is to do it in moderation. It can seriously damage your teeth so you have to watch how often you do it. There are many dangers such as increasing tooth sensitivity or even damaging the roots of your teeth. Of course, these effects are much less likely to happen if you control the amount you whiten or bleach your teeth.
Be smart with choosing your whitening method. My favorite are the Crest 3D Whitening Strips. They work extremely well and aren‘t super time consuming. I usually apply mine at night while I’m doing my homework or getting ready for bed. Then I set my timer and wait till they’re ready to be taken out. You’ll be sure to see a difference after only a couple uses. Another, more intense, method you can choose is bleaching. Although the results may be better, ask your dentist before. He can give you some pointers and a heads up on any dangers that might come with it.
There are several mistakes people make after whitening their teeth, and the main one is not watching what they eat. I’ve seen a saying online “if it will stain your clothes, it will stain your teeth,” especially after whitening. Avoid dark sodas, teas, coffee, etc. You don’t want your time and money to go to waste!
