Calling all shopaholics! Do you plan on going out and braving the crowds this Black Friday? If you are, then you really need to read these important tips! They will help you get the best deals possible, and they will give you some tips on how to stay safe when braving the masses!

  1. Do your research and browse the deals before you go. If you are looking for something specific, like a certain electronic item, then you need to research which stores are selling the item and which one offers the best price. You also need to check out what time the stores that you want to hit are open. Some stores open early on black Friday, some stores don’t open until late at night, the times can be all over the place! The best thing to do to stay organized is to keep a notebook or a sheet of paper with you that has each store you want to go to, the time they open, and what items you want to look for when you get there and their price. When you have a ton of people rushing around you, the best thing to be is organized and to have a game plan.
  2. TAKE AN ADULT WITH YOU. Ladies, I cannot stress this enough, take an adult with you! On black Friday, you will encounter countless crazy, frantic people trying to snatch and grab up items. You do not want to get in a compromising position or in a dangerous situation without having an adult to help you. Also, adults can help you find the items you need and can advise you on the best deals.

Stay safe this Black Friday, ladies! Good luck!

Make Adorable Fall Decorations!

Are you into the “rustic” look? Do you want to make your house look a little more like fall? Are you looking for some simple Thanksgiving decorations? Then read on! Today I am going to teach you how to make some classy, rustic decorations that will spruce up any Thanksgiving décor. If you are artsy or crafty, then you will love this fall themed DIY. It is super easy and practically free!

What you will need:

–          A glass container of some sort. You can even use the old glass from a candle.

–          Any kind of twigs or sticks. Go to your back yard or a park and collect sticks of any shape or size.7adbb978e7e47463f323e766f3b987af

Make sure that your glass container is clean and dry, or the glue will not stick. Cut the sticks so they are at assorted lengths. You can clean the sticks a bit so that the dirt doesn’t keep the twigs from sticking to the glue. Use hot glue to stick the twigs to the glass in a vertical fashion. Alternate the twig lengths and sizes so that it looks more natural. Once you have finished, you can use the decorations as candle holders, or you can just set them around your house to give it a more rustic, fall themed.

Happy fall!

Meet My New Puppy..And My Old Ones! Featuring: Buster, Jolly, and Ella

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, then you have seen the big pile of adorable wrinkles that is my new puppy Ella! She is a Shar Pei, just like my other dog Buster! In honor of the new four-legged addition to my family, I thought I would formally introduce you to my other canine companions, Buster and Jolly!

Buster is a 2 year old Shar Pei, which are originally Chinese fighting dogs. The story of how we got Buster is actually kind of funny. My family and I were at my sister’s soccer tournament when we saw a pet store going out of business. While my sister was playing, mom and I went to the store to play with the puppies. My mom loved Buster from the moment she saw him. But me? Not so much. I actually thought he was a really ugly puppy, to tell you the truth. The first thing I noticed about Buster was how disobedient he was. That is how we came up with his name! Because he was a Chinese fighting dog, no one

Chelsea Crockett dog busterreally wanted him. My dad bargained with the store owners to try and get him cheaper. He is quite the deal maker! The whole way home (it was a five hour drive, mind you) Buster kept crying and whining and pooping. Yes, pooping. We think that he was so nervous that he couldn’t hold it in. We stopped in a parking lot to clean out his cage, and all the while we were getting questioning looks from people passing by. What is so weird about a group of people cleaning poop out a cage in the middle of a parking lot, huh? Buster was crammed in the back seat of our truck along with my brother, sister and I. My dad keptrepeating “Why did we get him. Why did we get him.” All. The. Way. Home. Needless to say, he was getting a little annoyed with Buster’s non-stop whining, crying, and pooping. When we brought buster home, Jolly took right to him. They were instantly friends!

My dog Jolly is a beautiful, big Black Lab. We got Jolly in 2008 when she was 1.5 years old. She had originally been living on the streets. She was found on the side of the highway along with a group of puppies. When we got her she was in her third rescue home. The rescue home said that no one had wanted her. She had no idea why! Jolly is so obedient and shy. She is the sweetest dog ever! We got her on Christmas day 2008. Our dad told us he had a surprise for us, and he drove us to the shelter. We were so excited! We had always wanted a dog. We knew she was the one as soon as we saw her. My dad started calling out commands to her and she did them! He told her to sit, and to lay down. She had a little trouble with the “roll over” command, though. We named her Jolly because we got her on Christmas.

Buster and Jolly are a dynamic duo. We Crocketts love our dogs! What kind of dogs do you have? Comment below!

Do y’all like to watch TV? I don’t have a lot of spare time to watch it, but when I do, there are 2 shows that I love to indulge in. What are they? “Duck Dynasty” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway”! I’ll tell you why.

I like “Duck Dynasty” because it is just an all around amazing show! The family on the show, the Robertson’s, is so funny and wholesome and are strong Christians! There is no cussing or vulgar language on the show so I can feel good about watching it with my family and I can feel good watching it in general! The show promotes family values and how to stay true to your values even when you become famous. They are so funny and just make you feel good when you watch it. Gotta love those duck-calling, bearded Robertson’s!Chelsea crockett whose line is it anyway

I like the show “Whose Line Is It Anyway” because it always keeps me on my toes! Every episode has tears rolling down my face from how hard I’m laughing. The show features three men who have to act out assorted scenes based on what the host tells them to do. There is no script, so everything is random and hilarious!

As you can probably tell, I love shows that make me laugh! Have a few spare hours? Check these hilarious shows.

How many of you lovely ladies are procrastinators? Don’t be ashamed, we all have our own separate ways that we procrastinate, whether it is waiting until the last minute to write a 10 page paper on the Great Wall of China, or saying the infamous “I’ll get to it later” when referring to cleaning the unrecognizable pile of who knows what in your room. That is all well and good, but did you know that procrastination can actually affect your health? Crazy, right? Let me explain.

Procrastination is a huge stress factor. It is a behavior that leads to stress because you keep putting off things that really need to be done, and when it is crunch time you have so much to do that you Hands and sport watchcannot handle it all. If you keep putting things off, the stress of the event will just keep building up and building up. If you get it done and out of the way, then the stress is eliminated! When it comes to a big school project or paper, work on it a little bit at a time instead of waiting until the last minute. If you work on things little by little, then it is a lot easier to get done, and if you wait until the last minute, you are probably not going to do your best work because you are rushed. By procrastinating, you can also be missing out on great opportunities. If there is a scholarship or job that you need to apply for, do NOT put it off! If you put it off, someone else could get it. How disappointing would THAT be? Procrastination also threatens happiness. The more stressed you are, the less happy you are because the stress weighs you down. Stop procrastinating and see what a difference it can make in your life!

I know you can do it!

            Hello lovelies!

One of my favorite things about autumn is the fun that comes with Halloween.  You can find pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns on almost every street.  Aside from being perfect decorations for the season, carving and decorating pumpkins is a fun activity no matter what age you are!  Whether you’re carving for fun or for a decorating competition, you’re going to need unique thoughts to make your pumpkin your own!

A great idea I know girls wilChelsea Crockett - Glitter Pumpkinl love is to glitter-up your pumpkins.  Lay out a few pieces of newspaper and set out your pumpkin.  The best way to do this is to purchase a can of spray adhesive.  Spray your preferred deign on your pumpkin.  While it’s still wet, sprinkle whatever color glitter you want on the glue.  It should turn out girly, sparkly, and attention-catching!

Chelsea Crockett - Fretwork PumpkinOne idea that’s not just for the ladies, is a fretwork patterned jack-o-lantern.  An example of this, is the picture on the left.  After scooping out the seeds and insides of the pumpkin, you will be ready to go. To begin this design, take a thick piece of tape and make a ring around your pumpkin.  You’ll need to have a drill with two different sized drill bits, one large and one small.  Then, drill rows of circles around the tape creating a design you think looks best!  When your design is complete, place a votive candle inside the pumpkin and light it.

Voila!  You have a polka dotted, glowing jack-o-lantern!

I hope these ideas gave you a little originality this fall.  I can’t wait to see how yours all turned out!

Halloween Makeup Ideas

            Hi everyone!

It’s officially fall and we all know what that means!  Spooky costumes and creepy get-ups are a necessity for trick-or-treating or Halloween parties.  Since I am a beauty guru, I’m going to show you a few looks you can pull off using makeup this holiday.

First off, I recently put up a video showing how I transformed my little brother into a zombie.  For a tutorial on the look, go to my YouTube channel and watch the video entitled “Zombie Makeup Tutorial!”  This makeup is perfect for any boy, or girl, that wants to have a scaretastic costumeJ.

Another fun idea for some of my younger fans is a scarecrow.  For this look, all you need is some black eyeliner, orange face paint, and red lipstick.  To start the process, take your eyeliner and draw a line extending from the corners or your lips to the bottom of your ears.  Then draw a triangle on the tip of your nose.  Throughout the lines, make dash marks to give the effect of stitching that any scarecrow should have.  Fill in the triangle on your nose with orange face paint.  While using the face paint, make two circles on the centers of your cheeks.  Lastly, take your eyeliner and draw squiggly lines coming fromChelsea Crockett – Fairy beneath your eyes almost like sun rays.  Finish it off with your red lipstick and you’re complete!

Chelsea Crockett - FairyFor my girly-girls out there, a fairy look is just right for a Halloween get-up!  To pull this off, create your own kind of swirls coming from your eyes.  If you’re confused, check out the example to the left.  Make sure you use a lot of glitter and rhinestones.  Nothing says fairy more than a bunch of sparkle!

I can’t wait to see how they all turn out!

Hi Insiders!

Halloween is such a fun time of the year.  It’s the one day you can dress up as anything you want and not act yourself for a day.  So what do you do when you’re too old to Trick-or-Treat?  I’ve got a few fun Halloween ideas to keep the evening as exciting as it as when you were a kid!Chelsea Crockett- bonfire

Have all of your friends over for a bonfire.  Instead of dressing up in your own costume, create a themed bonfire.  Have everyone show up in their wackiest pajamas or as their favorite Disney character.  Complete your bonfire with s’mores, spooky music, and ghost stories.  Put plenty of blankets outside, so everyone can cuddle up and enjoy the night out by the fire.

If you’re looking for a lazier night with a few friends, give your parents the night off and watch scary movies and hand out candy to the neighborhood children.  Although you’ll be staying indoors, you’ll still be in the Halloween spirit!

If you’re planning on going all out this year, invite all of your friends over for a Halloween bash!  Clear out your basement, have all of your friends dress up, and dance the night away.  Be sure to provide plenty of crazy Halloween Chelsea Crockett- Halloween donutssnacks, like donut eyeballs (donut holes with red goo as the veins and a blue M&M as the iris) and a long music playlist.  You could even set up a station to make your own caramel apples.  Be creative with your party!

Happy Halloween!

Be Fresh Faced This Fall/Winter!

Hi Girls!

This year, the hottest makeup trend for fall and winter seems to be no makeup at all!  Models and celebs have been spotted fresh faced all over.  Whether it’s on a magazine or a picture on Instagram, sporting a fresh face is the new bold makeup look.  All you need are 3 makeup items and you’re good to go!

The number one thing all makeup artists say for a fresh face is “a pouty lip, bold brows, and clean skin”.  Begin your fresh faced makeup look by cleaning your skin of all dirt and preexisting makeup.  Once your face is feeling nice and clean, apply a dab of concealer under each eye to get rid of any dark circles.  For the next step, think BOLD.  Using an eyeliner pencil that matches your eyebrow color, lightly fill in your brows for a thick, dramatic look.  This will take away from the fact that you aren’t wearing any eye makeup.  Last, using a clear or nude lip gloss, create a pouty lip.  It’s as simple as that!! Chelsea Crockett- thick eyebrows

Don’t ever be afraid to showcase your natural beauty.  Everyone is beautiful in their own way.  Embrace your natural beauty and love every feature! “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” –Psalm 139:14

You are all beautiful!

LET THE COLD WEATHER BEGIN! Fall is known for its amazing fashion and makeup trends, and I look forward to rocking these trends all year! Here are some of the hottest makeup trends for fall!

 The Classic Cat Eye

I kid you not, cat eyes will always be in. This fall you will be seeing much more of the cat eye! There are many ways to change up the cat-eye look, like adding some color and some thickness or even some extra wings. This trend makes your eyes look big and sassy!

 Orangey Hues

Orange is so perfect for fall! By combining different orangey hues, you can make it this fall’s most wearable color. Orange shadow colors range from rusty copper to reddish brown, and will be a super fashionable trend this fall.

 Purplish Eyes

You might be thinking “Really? Purple?”, but it is true! Fall is all about the purple! Dark brownish purple, to be precise. Purple shadows and eyeliners with this radiant color are begging to be worn this fall! You can add this color to your cat eye look, or get a more laid back look with a dark purple hue on the creases of your eyes.

 Red Textured Lips

Who doesn’t love the classic red lip? This fall you will be seeing everything from matte to shine. A bright textured red lip is the go-to lip for this season! Line your lips with a darker red then fill with a brighter hue.chelsea crockett fall makeup trends

 Add Sparkle

Glitter eye shadows are in for this fall! Is there anything more fabulous? We all love to add some sparkle to our makeup routine. Sparkle and shine this fall fab look.

Now go rock these fab looks!

Hi Lovelies,

Leather is becoming one of my all-time favorite materials to wear.  It’s so fierce and can be worn so many different ways!  Many girls are afraid to wear it, because it is so edgy.  Don’t worry; there are simple ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe without looking too punk.  It can even be styled to look girly!  Follow my tips on how to rock denim the right way.Chelsea Crockett- leather pants

  • A leather jacket and a pair of leather boots are a must for any closet.  Both items can be paired with almost anything.  For a girlier look, pair your leather jacket with a floral dress or maxi.  Try wearing your leather boots with tight jewel toned skinny jeans, maroon, dark teal, etc., and wearing an over-sized shirt or sweater.  This is more of a street style look.
  • Leather patches are so much fun this season!  Try finding a sweater with leader patches on the elbows or a plaid button up with a denim Chelsea Crockett- leather sweaterpocket.  This puts a cool twist on an otherwise normal top.
  • Be daring with leather pants or leggings!  Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.  These pants are perfect for a party or concert and look great with a sequined top and a pair of heels.  If you don’t want to go that dressy, try pairing your rockin’ pants with a simple or sheer top with a chunky necklace and flats.  Be bold!

Have fun this season by incorporating leather into your fall wardrobe.  I promise, you’ll always be dressed to impress!

Love,

Did you know you could “winterize” your skin? Neither did I! Winterizing your skin is getting it ready for the cold, dry winter months. Let me explain!

1. Lavish your Lips! During the winter months, your lips can get dry and cracked. I’ve got a few ways to keep those kissers nice and moist! The first tip is to keep a good quality chapstick on hand. I recommend Burt’s Bees, because it is natural and high quality! My next tip is to take a soft bristled toothbrush and gently brush your lips with it. Instant exfoliation! After you have brushed your lips, smooth some chapstick over those babies.how-to-treatcure-pleeing-lips

 2. Skip the Steamy Shower! Okay don’t freak out, but hot showers can really strip your skin of moisture! Now I’m not saying take showers that are the temperature of Alaskan ocean water, but maybe turn the heat down just a tad. When you take super-hot showers, it causes your blood vessels to dilate which results in water loss through your skin! So turn those temps down, ladies!

 3. Sensitive skin? Avoid Tap Water! Do you have really dry, sensitive skin? Then listen up! Tap water can contain harsh minerals that are especially drying to the skin. Every state’s water contains different minerals, some harsher than others. To be safe, you can use clensing pads to clean your face, and if you feel your face really needs some TLC, wash it using bottled water.

I am SO ready for fall and winter, and your skin will be too! Do you have any advice on how to winterize your skin? Comment below and fill me in!

Some of you may have seen my YouTube video on this subject, but I just wanted to recap and summarize everything we went over in the video so you can look your absolute best while cheering on your home team!

The very first thing I do when getting ready is apply Neutrogena Shine Control Primer to my face. This keeps my skin from looking shiny, makes sure my makeup stays in place, and evens out the redness in my skin! Next I apply my Garnier BB cream and blend it into my skin. I am loving this BB cream because it matches my skin tone perfectly! Next I brush my Bare Minerals powder over my skin with my Royal brushes (which I am in love with, BTW!), and then apply my “Radiance” blush by MAC. After that I style my eyebrows using my Royal brushes again! Next I apply eyelid primer by “The Balm” and eye shadow by NYX called “Love In Florence”. To finish my makeup off, I add some liquid eyeliner and mascara by The Balm and some Nivea “A Kiss of Cherry” lip balm!

And now for the hair! I recommend wearing your hair up. It will keep you from getting too hot! First, I lightly mist my hair with dry shampoo and then brush my hair so the dry shampoo absorbs all of the excess oils. Then I take my hair and put it into a loose low pony, make a hole in the middle, and then tuck it through! If you don’t like how that looks, just keep tucking it so it turns into a twisted bun.

Now,finally, the outfit! In my video I am wearing the jacket I won at BeautyCon, but to your football game I recommend you wear a school shirt. Wear something with your school name, mascot, or a shirt from a school sport you played! Top the outfit off with a cute pair of jeans and some trendy tennis shoes.
