Craving something sweet and salty? These pretzel bites will put a pep in your step! All you need is:

 -1 cup creamy peanut butter

-2 tablespoons softened butter
-1/2 cup powdered sugar
-3/4 cup brown sugar
-Pretzels
-1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

 1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set it aside.

2. In the bowl of a mixer, beat peanut butter and butter until it is all mixed together. Scrape the sides of the bowl, add the sugars, and beat until combined. You should be able to roll the mixture into balls without it sticking to your hands. If you need to, add more powdered sugar until you reach a consistency that is easy to roll.
chelsea crockett pretzels3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 teaspoon of mixture for each ball, and place on the baking sheet. Sandwich the balls between two pretzels and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.

4. After they have frozen, melt your chocolate chips in a sauce pan and dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate. Place these in your refrigerator to cool. Store them in the refrigerator, also, because they taste better cold!

 

You can take these to parties, or just make them for yourself if you are craving something sweet!

  1. Have you ever needed to microwave two bowls at once? Place one on the floor of the microwave and the other on top of a cup above the other!
  2. Do you want a custom phone case, but don’t want to pay the price? Buy a clear phone case and use scrap booking paper to customize your own! Just cut the paper to match your phone case, slide it in, and you’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind case!
  3. Don’t know what to do with that last bit of Nutella? Throw a scope of ice cream directly into the jar and you’ve got yourself a sweet treat!
  4. Try topping your mason jar with a coffee lid! Now you’ve got a spill-proof drink!
  5. Use tape to get the perfect winged eyeliner! Just place the strip diagonally from your outer lid to keep your liner in place!
  6. Make pancakes out of cake mix for someone’s birthday!
  7. A stick of spaghetti can be lit on fire to light hard to reach candles!
  8. Mix lemon juice and baking soda together to use as a paste to remove unwanted color from a spray tan!

  1. Almond Milk: I talked about this product in my fitness video! Almond milk is low in calories and is heart healthy. It is also a lower calorie alternative to regular cow’s milk, and it tasted awesome!
  2. Spinach: This food is super high in nutrients but also super low in calories. It can also help prevent cancer and cardiovascular diseases! A spinach salad sounds super yummy right about now!
  3. Raspberries: These red babies are high in ellagic acid which helps fight cancer and inflammation! I love raspberries.

Looking for a yummy treat that is easy to pop in your mouth on the go? Try these yummy yogurt drops. They are super easy to make and they are great for you! Here is how you make them:

Get a cup of your all time favorite yogurt. I love strawberry Greek yogurt! Spoon some in a plastic Ziploc bag. Cut one of the bottom corners of the bag so that you can squeeze yogurt out of it. Take out a large, flat cookie sheet and start placing penny-IMG_6050-300x224sized drops of yogurt onto the cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet into the freezer for about an hour. Once the drops have frozen, you can take them out of the freezer, scrape them off the cookie sheet, and scoop them into a storage bowl! Once you have gobbled up your fair share, store them in the freezer!

When the weather gets warm, my cravings for all things cold go through the roof. That is why it is a great idea to have healthy treats around to satisfy your cravings! Here is a super, super quick recipe for Strawberry frozen yogurt.

Ingredients:yogurt

4 cups frozen strawberries 3 Tablespoons agave nectar or honey 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:

Add the frozen strawberries, agave nectar (or honey), yogurt and lemon juice into a blender or food processor. Blend for about 5 minutes or until creamy. See how quick and easy that was? You can keep your delicious concoction in the freezer for up to a month, so you will always have something to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Trust me, you will be loving this sweet, cool treat!

We all know that spinach is one of the healthiest foods out there!  This leafy green is important for the health of our hair, skin, and bones; and provides our body with a handful of vitamins and minerals.  Unfortunately not everyone likes spinach, but since it is mild in taste, adding it to some of your favorite dishes is an easy way to sneak it in.  If you use it in the right ways, you won’t even know you’re eating it!   

  • When making a smoothie, add a handful of spinach leaves to your blender.  Although your smoothie will come out green, you won’t even be able to taste the spinach!
  • Love deli wraps or Mexican burritos?  Try making them with a spinach wrap instead of a flour tortilla.
  • Tear up spinach leaves and add them to your normal house salad.  This way, you will notice the crunchiness of the lettuce, not the spinach. 
  • If you’re going out to eat and always order the cheese queso for an appetizer, try spinach and artichoke dip instead.  Although it is not particularly healthy, it still has a few health benefits despite all the creamy cheese.
  • Finely dice up spinach and add it to your next omelet or pasta dish.  The sauces and extra toppings will cover up the spinach taste.  Also, if you dice the spinach up enough, you won’t even notice when you’re eating it and when you’re not.

It’s important for your body to get the nutrients it needs!  Try incorporating spinach into your daily diet whenever you can!

White Caramel Hot Chocolate!

Hot chocolate is the bomb. There is nothing I love more than a glass of hot chocolate after a cold winters day! The only thing that may be better is… Caramel white hot chocolate!! How yummy does that sound?! Ill give you the recipe so you can enjoy this tasty treat right along with me!

 Ingredients:

–         8 oz. Premium White Chocolate

–         4 Cups of Milk or Creamchelsea crockett

–         1 Tbsp. Vanilla

–         2 TBSP Caramel

–         Marshmallows

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a Crockpot and stir them frequently.

2. Cook on low for about 4 hours until the chocolate is melted and warm. Add 2 tablespoons to each glass of hot chocolate before serving it!

3. Top each glass off with marshmallows.

 

How delicious does this recipe sound? It is so super easy, my dog Buster could do it! This drink is great for any Christmas party you may be hosting or attending! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

How incredibly refreshing does blueberry mint lemonade sound? I say it sounds crazy good. To me, there is nothing more refreshing than a tall glass of lemonade. Here is the recipe for this dapper drink!chelsea crockett blueberry lemonade

Ingredients:

–          1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

–          ¾ cup superfine sugar

–          4 cups water

–          1 cup fresh blueberries

–          1/3 cup fresh mint

Juice your lemons into a large pitcher. Add your sugar and water, and then stir to dissolve. Add the blueberries and mint, then let the mixture sit in the refrigerator overnight before you serve. The longer you let the mixture stand, the more the flavors will mingle. I personally have a pitcher of this stuff sitting in my fridge right now! You can bet your bottom dollar it will all be gone in a jiff!

Want to know an amazing way to ring in spring? By making a nice big batch of fruit salsa! Fruit salsa is a super yummy mix of fruit and sweet goodness that is uber addicting! I could eat the whole batch on my own. No joke. Here is how to make my world famous fruit salsa!

Ingredients:

  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 pound of strawberries
  • 1/2 pound of raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons preserves (I used strawberry!)
  1. Zest the lemon and set aside. Peel your apple and then finely chop it. Squeexe 2 teaspoons of lemon juice over the apples and mix well to combine it all.
  2. Finely chop your strawberries and kiwis. Gently combine all of your ingredients, and don’t be afraid if your raspberries start to break apart, it is natural! Chill your mixture and serve it with cinnamon tortilla chips!

Words cannot describe how good this stuff is. It is the best after school snack ever!

Yum, cake!  It’s the perfect end to any meal.  It is also full of sugar and can weigh heavily on the calories.  Although it’s always a family favorite, it’s not something you want to eat all the time.  Fortunately, there is a simple way to enjoy a piece of cake without all the calories.  It’s coca cola cake!  All you need is a can of Diet Coke and a box of your favorite cake mix.Chelsea Crockett- coca cola cake

It’s like magic!  Just mix the can of Diet Coke and cake mix in a large bowl.  Then grease your pan and pour the mixture in.  Bake the cake as directed on the box and you’ve got yourself a cake!  These 2 simple ingredients create a wonderful cake with half the calories and sugars!  Try this dessert for your next family meal!  I hope you enjoy!

The saying “you are what you eat” couldn’t be more accurate.  Actually, the food that you eat really does reflect on your physical appearance.  It’s so important to feed your body the nutrients it needs to stay active and healthy!

Any type of junk food or fast food will really take a toll on your body.  The amount of fat in these types of food can cause excessive weight gain and eventually obesity.  It attributes to lower energy and performance levels in school and athletics.  It can also weaken the immune system, causing you to get sick more times throughout the year.  This will automatically make your body feel weaker.  When you eat bad food, your skin does not get the proper nutrients it needs.  Your skin will look dull and flat.  It will not have the same glowing appearance as it would if you ate Chelsea Crockett- no fast foodhealthier.

If you have bad eating habits, start by swapping one bad meal a day for a healthy one.  This will be hard at first, but eventually you will start to swap out other meals!  Once you get in the routine of eating healthy, you will start to notice a raise in your performance levels, glowing skin, and a skinnier body.  It’s a win-win situation!

I challenge all of you to try and eat healthier this summer.  You can do it!!

Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to give up soda or sweet drinks? Or, do you get tired of dull old water? Well fear not, because I have the perfect savory drink to satisfy your sweet tooth. I introduce to you, naturally flavored water! This drink is great to take with you on the go or just to sip on at home! It basically has zero calories, but a boatload of flavor! Here are a few of my favorite recipes:

– Raspberry Lime Flavored Water: Cut 2 limes into 4 pieces each. Squeeze the juice from the limes into the jar, and then throw the squeezed limes into the jar. Add raspberries. Take a wooden spoon and press on the fruit to release some of the juices, but don’t totally pulverize the fruit. Fill the jar with ice and then fill water to the top. Stir the mixture, cover, and refrigerate.

– Watermelon Rosemary Flavored Water: Add a sprig of rosemary to the jar and press it with a wooden spoon to release some of its flavor. Cube a watermelon and add the cubes. Press gently on the cubes with a wooden spoon to release the juices. Fill your jar with ice cubes, add water to the top and stir. Cover the mixture and refrigerate.

Let your mixtures sit in the fridge for about 24 hours to let the flavors mix into the water. Then, enjoy! The mixture in the picture is blackberries and lime! Yummy!

Do you all ever get a serious case of the munchies? I do! ALL THE TIME. Here are some super yummy, super low cal snacks that you can feel good about reaching for!

 

-1 tangerine and 1 light string cheese: This only has 90 calories and has 6 grams of protein! I don’t know about you all, but I love me some string cheese.

-1 low-calorie yogurt and ½ cup raspberries: This also only has 90 calories and can totally blast away that craving for sweets! Next time your sweet tooth tries to tempt you into scarfing down something that your body will NOT thank you for, reach for this!

-½ cup Kashi GoLean! Crunch Cereal and ¾ cup Unsweetened Almond Milk: this only has 100 calories and a whopping 7.5 grams of protein! You can use skim milk if you want, but I chose almond milk.

-1 100 calorie bag of Blue Diamond Almonds: Almonds are the best nut out there! They are better for you than peanuts, and they are a great source of the good fats that are essential for your body to function!

-100 calorie bag of organic popcorn: Who doesn’t love popcorn? I know I eat it by the handful! I was so excited to find that popcorn was on the list of healthy snacks! Eat up, Insiders!

I am a huge Starbucks fan, if you didn’t already know. The only problem with my addiction is that is a costly one! A Passion Tea Lemonade at Starbucks can run you about 4$, which definitely adds up! I found a way to replicate the recipe so that I can save myself some moolah! Here it is:

-Tazo Passion Teashaken-tea

-Lemonade

-Simple Syrup

Boil 13 cups of water. Open your tea box, cut the strings off of the bags, and  plop the bags into your container. When your water comes to a boil, pour it over the tea bags and let it steep 7-10 minutes. Set the pitcher in the fridge and let it cool and leave it overnight. After that long, the tea should be cool enough to start mixing! Grab your cup and fill it ½ way with the tea, and then add lemonade until the cup is ¾ full. Add about 2 tablespoons of simple syrup and give it a good mix. Throw in your ice and you are good to go!

Are you having a party but don’t want to serve the same old boring, unhealthy cake? Here is a recipe for a refreshing, unbelievably healthy alternative to that plain old white cake!

Ingredients:

– Whipped cream

– 1 Large Watermelon cut in a circle like a cake (see photo)chelsea crockett watermelon

– Blueberries

– Raspberries

Instructions
  1. Cut your watermelon like the photo.
  2. Pat the watermelon down with paper towels to dry it.
  3. Frost the watermelon with the whipped cream.
  4. Decorate the top with fresh fruit of your choice! You can put whatever you want on it!

My mouth is watering just thinking about eating this super yummy treat! Impress your party guests with this tasty cake!
