Being a sibling, let alone a sister, can be tough! Always bickering over who has to take out the trash or who has to clean the dishes. Although it’s great having a sister, we can often find things to fight about (which I think anyone who has a sister can understand!). There are three big struggles every pair of sisters argues over (I know this from personal experience), and I’m here to help!
- Sharing clothes… the great debate. Nine times out of ten, this is what my sister and I are arguing over! She steals my shirt, I forget to put hers back, she spills her drink on my new dress… the list goes on and on. To avoid this, simply ask for permission a couple hours before you get ready. Also, put a reminder on your iPhone to put back her shirt/dress around the time you’ll be getting home. And if you have the misfortune of spilling something on her new favorite skirt, offer to buy her a new one!
- My sister has her license now, but before that I had to drive her everywhere! I really didn’t mind but there were a few times that brought up some conflict. The best way to go about this is asking your sis a day or so before if she has plans and needs to arrange a ride. That way she’ll know early enough so if you can’t, she’ll have plenty of time to find an alternate!
- Lastly, chores often bring up some bickering between us! You might ask your sister to do the dishes for you one night and all kind of problems come up! The easiest way to go about this is making a schedule for the two of you. It might sound cliché but it really works!
