Chelsea Crockett - GratitudeThanksgiving isn’t just a time for stuffing ourselves with turkey and pumpkin pie (although that is a plus!).  It’s a time to reflect and be grateful for all of the blessings in our lives.  However, the older I get, the more I realize that gratitude isn’t something we should only think about at this time of year.  It’s something that we should think about daily!

A person who has developed an “attitude of gratitude” is someone who thanks God for every blessing in their life.  It’s a lifestyle of thanksgiving.  So many times, we ask God for blessings….like a new car or a pet….then complain about this or that even after we get what we want. The saying “You always want what you can’t have” is an understatement nowadays!

So, will you join me in this “attitude of gratitude”?  I truly believe that every good thing comes to us from God!  We need to recognize that and try to find the good in all situations.  This lifestyle of thanksgiving shows maturity and evidence of a grateful heart.  Blessings are all around us.  Let’s start counting them!

“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.” Philippians 4:6.
