It’s that time of year.  School is once again in session!  Of course most of us dread it but the reality is…we have to do it!  So I’ve decided to put a few things together to help us all be successful. (My mom’s a teacher and believe it or not…..I’ve asked her opinion!)

One thing that is so important is for students to try to get to know their teachers.  Teachers can be very busy and have a lot of students on their rosters.  Most teachers, however, really want to get to know their students and what is going on in their lives.  It’ll help you and your teachers communicate a lot better!

Another tip is to take good notes and write things down in your agenda or notebook.  It’s super helpful to have notes in front of you as a reminder.  It’s hard to try to remember everything after switching from subject to subject.  Jot down homework assignments, notes to return, supplies you might need, anything you may need to tell your parents, etc. Being organized pays off! Lastly, get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast.  Don’t spend all night on your phone with your friends. Put your phone/laptop away by 10pm and go to sleep!  It’s really hard to function throughout the day without catching some ZZZ’s.  Your mind will be sharper and your body will be well rested for the long day ahead of you!

XOXO, Chelsea
