If your city is like mine, then there is a Starbuck’s on every corner!  It’s quite tempting and pretty hard to say “no” to a hot coffee or icy frappe when it’s right there!  It’s also hard not to make when you’ve got a coffee maker and creamers in your own kitchen.  Nevertheless, coffee is almost unavoidable!  So is this girly drink good or bad for you?  Let’s break down the truth!

Surprisingly enough, coffee has a handful of health benefits!  Coffee contains an abundance of antioxidants that actually prevent brain cell damage.  It helps fight diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.  Even the risk of brain cancer and diabetes drops!  Coffee is also heart healthy!  It keep arteries from becoming inflamed, which lowers the risk of stroke; but be careful, too much coffee can have the opposite effect! Chelsea Crockett- coffee pros and cons

While coffee has a lot of pros, it can also hinder your health.  If you get stressed easily or can’t sleep at night, then lay off the coffee.  Coffee is high in caffeine, which can make certain people very jittery and/or anxious.  If you’re one of these people, but love coffee, just drink one cup a day!  It’s also not a great idea to add a large amount of heavy creamers and sugar to each glass.  All in all, coffee isn’t too bad for you (unless you’re having 5 cups a day)!
