Whether you’re in high school or college, finals week is always a scary time.  Between studying for multiple classes and trying to keep your sanity, the last week of school can get hectic.  In order not to lose your cool, check out these tips for a smooth finals week!Chelsea Crockett- studying for finals

  • Put your phone on silent and set it across the room! I know this may sound impossible to some, but it’s totally worth it. Every 30 minutes allow yourself to check your phone! You’ll be super focused!
  • DON’T study too much! Sitting at a desk for 7 hours reading the same material won’t do much for you. Instead, study for an hour and then take a snack or TV show break. You’ve got to allow some time for yourself.
  • Get a good night’s sleep! If you think staying up till 4a.m. is the way to go you’re wrong! Try closing your books at 10p.m. and hitting the hay.
  • Keep distractions to a minimum. It’s easy for our minds to wander, so being in a quiet environment will help with that.
  • Eat brain foods like bananas, blueberries, and almonds.
  • DON’T stress out! If you start to panic about an exam it will be harder to study! Believe in yourself!
