School can be such a drag. Between juggling homework, practices, and a job, life can get pretty tough and oftentimes extremely tiring. Staying motivated becomes harder and harder and procrastination usually starts to set in! For those of you who find yourself slacking and out of energy, here is a little guide I put together to help you out :)!
First things first, make sure you have the basics down. Get enough sleep (8 hours), eat healthy, exercise… These are all things that will give you a little more energy to get through the day. Apart from the simple things, be sure to reward yourself. Working and getting things done is 10x harder if you don’t have anything to look forward to. Goal-setting is a perfect way to organize your tasks. If you complete a goal, reward yourself! Whether it’s with a piece of chocolate or a night out with your friends, it’ll help push you to checking off your goal!
The next step is probably the most important. As teenagers, we have SO many distractions… phones, friends, TV, etc. Get rid of them for a little! Trying to do everything at once isn’t possible. If you try, you’ll overwork yourself which leads to discouragement.
