Do you ever wake up and look in the mirror and think, “how in the world do I calm down this hair?” I’m not going to lie, I am definitely guilty of that! But no need to worry, I have found some tricks to help fizzle the frizz before it happens!
Many experts say to be careful when brushing your dry hair. Try to avoid it but if you must, try not to stretch it and cause breakage. Also, finger combing, or just combing in general, can reduce the breakage by a large amount!
The best way to handle your hair after washing is to towel dry and comb it. You can purchase an anti-frizz product to spray on it if you need to. If you don’t have an anti-frizz product, you can water down a bit of hair conditioner and use your hands to apply it to only the tips of your hair. (Always look for protein in your conditioners. It helps to manage frizz and create shine.) Try to avoid straighteners, curling irons, and relaxers. They can make your hair brittle and lead to breakage which enhances frizz. A couple of the best frizz-reducing products are Moroccan or Argon Oil. To check it out, click here!
When buying products for your hair, look for ones that do not contain alcohol. Many salons carry these products and they are where I most recommend to shop. Avoid super markets and drugstores, they often carry products with alcohol because they have a longer shelf life. Another anti-frizz product that most don’t think of is children’s detangling spray. Spray a little on your hands and then gently smooth down your frizz. Good luck insiders!
