Have you ever wanted something so bad and worked so hard for it…and then didn’t get it? And you wondered why God would do this to you, you deserved it, right? It could be a scholarship, boyfriend, job, winning a sports event, anything that you strive for and want more than anything. Daniel 3:17-18 gives us a little reality check when we don’t get the things we really want.daniel

Daniel 3:17-18 says “And if not, He is still GOOD.” This means that if God doesn’t give you what you want or badly desire or have strived for, He is still good. He knows what is best for you, and maybe getting the job or boyfriend would have led to something negative in the future. He knows how much you can handle in your life, and He knows what your life has in store for you. Think about all of the other things He has given you in your life! You are incredibly blessed. He is SO good!

So, when you don’t God doesn’t give you exactly what you want or have strived for, just remember all of the other blessings in your life and that He is good!

The Bible says that when you are dating someone, you need to be “equally yoked.” This means that your faith needs to match theirs. Dating can be a blast, especially if you are in a Godly relationship, because you are making Jesus look

good! Sometimes, in our world, it can be hard to date God’s way, because God’s way isn’t always the

popular way! But I believe in you ladies, and when you are setting a Godly example with your dating

life, others around you will notice and want to be more like you! Here are some tips on what the bible

says about Godly dating.

1. Stay away from temptation. I think you all can catch my drift when I say “temptation”. It means

keep away from things that threaten your purity. Corinthians 10:13 encourages us when it says “No

temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be

tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you

may be able to endure it.” This means that, although you may be tempted to do things you know you

shouldn’t do, God knows you are strong and can overcome them! He is always on your side!

2. I heard this quote once and absolutely loved it, and that is why it is my next point. The quote

says: “A girl’s heart should be so lost in God that a guy must seek Him to find her.” The point that I am

trying to make is that a guy should seek God to find you. Want to know something funny? I pray for my

future husband. Kind of crazy, right? Not really! When you pray for your future spouse, pray that they

are staying strong in their faith and that God is preparing their heart for you, that way when you finally

meet your prince, you will know God has prepared him for you!

3. Take it sloooooooooow. Don’t have a boyfriend? Don’t worry! God’s timing is all his own. When he

wants you to meet someone, you will! In Psalm 37:4, God says “Delight yourself in the LORD, and

he will give you the desires of your heart.” Use the time when you are by your self to try and find

who YOU are, so when you are in a relationship, you know that no one can change you. God works in

mysterious ways, and he will drop your man into your life when you least expect it. Go and enjoy your

life! God has everything under control.

Tattoos are a HUGE fad these days! This subject can sometimes be tough, because there is such a debate on

it! The Bible mentions tattoos just once, at Leviticus19:28, which says: “You must not put tattoo marking upon

yourselves.” God gave this command to the nation of Israel, which set them apart from the neighboring peoples

who marked their skin with the names or symbols of their gods. Some people get tattoos to establish their

identity or to show people who they are. However, the Bible encourages Christians to “Present your bodies a

sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with your power of reason.” (Romans 12:1) Use your

“power of reason” to analyze why you want a tattoo. If it is because you want to follow a trend, remember that

your feelings may prove to be less permanent than the tattoo, meaning that you might really want one now, but

will you want it 30 years from now? I know that they can be cute sometimes, but think about 30-years-from-now

you! Is the “mom” version of you really going to want a giant flower tattooed across her back? UMMMM I thinksmall tattoo

NOT! Before getting inked, just think “do I really want to see this picture on my body every day for the rest of my

life?” If there is any hesitation, don’t do it!

Don’t get me wrong, I love looking at some people’s cool tattoos! I am just filling you in on what the Bible says

about them, so if someone ever asks you what the Word of God has to say on the subject, you can fill them in!
