When crisis hits, what is your first reaction? Is it panic? Anger? Mine is worry. I worry about what is going to happen next and what the future holds. When my worries start to get the best of me, I remember Philippians 4:6.

Philippians 4:6 says “Don’t worry about anything: Instead pray about everything.” What good can worrying do? It can only make you worry more. Instead of wasting time, energy and emotion worrying, pray about it! God promises to hear your prayers, plus letting it go and letting God handle it takes a huge weight off of your chest. It is amazing what amazing things God can do in your life when you just let go and pray.

I have started keeping a prayer journal and writing my daily prayers in it. It is a great way to look back and see how God worked in your life through your prayers! Remember, don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Turn your worries into prayers!

2 Corinthians 5:7 says “Walk by faith, not by sight.” It is hard to believe in things we cannot see. We like to be able to be able to see and touch things in order to believe they are real, but as Christians we are told to have faith like a child and believe without having all of the answers. 2-cor

What does it mean to walk by faith and not by sight? It means to believe in God even though you cant see Him. It means to means to live your faith out, and be Jesus with skin on. Show people that you are different and show them the joy that you have because you are living for a purpose greater than yourself. I strive every day to walk by faith. That is why you may have noticed that a lot of my social media posts lately have been faith-focused. I want to shine for Him!

If you ever have questions about what it means to be a Christian and what it means to have faith, please comment on my videos or posts and ask! I love answering questions and sharing what my faith means to me.

Daniel 3:18 says “And if not, He is still good.” This verse may sound like adanieln incomplete sentence or may make no sense to you, but recently this verse has meant a lot to me. Here is what it means.

The “And if not” part of the verse is talking about the things in life that we want to happen. It is the things we dream about or strive for. It is saying that if those things don’t happen for us, if certain dreams don’t come true or if certain doors close, God has it all under control. He is still good. I read something recently that really hit me. It said that God literally cannot sin, so

anything bad happening in our lives is caused by Satan, not God. God can do no wrong. If God closes a door or changes your path so you do not have an opportunity that you thought you would get, or if life isn’t going the way you planned, He is still good. He will still carry you. He is taking your path in a new and better direction. It may not seem like it right now, in fact it may seem like He has turned His back on you, but that is never the case. He is still good. In fact, he may have closed those doors because He knows that by closing them, He is opening the door to an even bigger and better opportunity for you.

Be patient, hold strong in knowing that the God who created the whole entire universe cares about you and knows all of your hopes and fears, and look forward to the bright future He has in store for you.

“She confidently trusts the Lord to take care of her.” This is what Psalm 112:7 proclaims. I love these kinds of verses, ones that give us advice on how to trust God and where putting your faith in God can take you.122

Lets break that verse down. It starts out by saying that she CONFIDENTLY trusts the Lord. She doesn’t just trust Him. She has confidence and is sure of herself. She is sure of the Lord’s care for her life and that He has her future in the palm of His hand. Nothing surprises God. He knows just what you need when you need it. So, lets finish breaking this verse down. She confidently trusts the Lord to what? To take care of her. Isn’t that what most girls seek? To feel safe and to have the feeling that she is taken care of? God has that covered.

Trust confidently in the Lord! He will never let you down.

2 Timothy 4:17 says “But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength.” Have you ever felt like no one had your back and you were alone? Going to college in a new state, I was afraid that I would have a hard time making friends, fitting in and feeling timat home. This verse tells us that we never have to feel like that, because God has our back, always.

In situations where I feel like my faith is being attacked or I am being attacked personally, I always try to remember that the Lord is standing by me and strengthening me. Being on YouTube, I can read the comments on my videos, and sometimes they are not the sweetest words. Don’t get me wrong, there are way more sweet, nice comments and supporters than there are negative Nancy’s. But, sometimes those negative comments can overshadow all of the good. That is when I remember that the Lord with with me and is strengthening me. When you feel like you are alone in a situation, when you feel attacked or belittled, lonely, or you just feel weak and helpless, just remember that the Lord is always by your side, strengthening you.

You are never alone, and you never have to feel weak or helpless! God has your back, always.

Recently, one of my #1 prayers is for contentment. I pray that God would make me happy and content with what He has given me, because it is so easy to get caught up in the world of “want” and “need.”

Philippians 4:11 says “For I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” I feel like this should be our prayer every day, to be content in our life and out situation. We should be grateful for what God has given us, and not be jealous or want what others philipians 4-11have. Easier said than done, right? It is so easy to want what others have, whether it is an outfit, a boyfriend, a job, or even family. We get caught up in what we DON’T have and forget what we DO have. When you are shopping and see a super cute dress, think to yourself, do I really need this dress? I already have a closet full, and some people around the world only have a few pieces of clothing whereas my closet is bursting. When we become content with what we have, we become happier. We stop playing the comparison game, and we focus on the positive.

I challenge you to be content in your life. Once you learn contentment, you will be surprised at how much happiness it brings you!

Do you ever feel like nobody gets you? Or that nobody is on your side and everyone is against you? It is easy to feel that way. But you know what is awesome? Exodus 14:14 tells us that “The Lord with fight for you, you need only to be still.”

The Lord with fight for you! He has your back and will give you strength. I have been in situations where I feel hopeless and like exodus 14-14everyone is rooting against me. Instead of giving in or giving up, all I need to do is pray and ask God to be with me. The devil will try and steal your joy and bring you down every chance he gets. But you know what? You don’t have to fear because the Lord will go to battle for you. Every day is a battle with sin. The devil tests you and will try and make you falter, but if you pray for God to help you resist sin, the Lord will fight for you. In hard times I have a peaceful heart because I know that if I pray and ask God to protect me from sin and keep me strong, He will provide.

I pray that you come to know Jesus and his love for you. He is ready to fight for you!

These days everybody has an opinion on how you should live your life. The only opinion that matters in MY life is that of the Lord. Psalm 37:5 says “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will act.” What does this verse mean?m

It means that once you commit your life and your “ways” to the Lord, you can trust in Him to guide your life. Once you give your heart to Him and commit to serving Him and living for Him, he will take your future in His hands and mold it into something you cannot even imagine. I can honestly say that giving my heart and my life to God has been the best thing to ever happen to me. Trusting that he has my future in His hands and has plans to help me prosper and thrive is so encouraging. He has already blessed my life with so many wonderful opportunities, and in everything He gives me I try to shine for Him. I have committed my life to Him and trust in His plans, so I know He will continue to guide my life. It may not always be easy to commit to the Lord, but I promise you it is worth it. Nothing good in this life comes easy.

If you do not know Jesus I pray that you would seek Him. He has big plans for you, girl!

It is so easy to get caught up in the troubles of this world. It is easy to become angry, irritable, sarcastic, and all kinds of other negative emotions. Yet, Proverbs 3:3 says “ Do not let kindness and truth leave you.”

When I read this verse I immediately think “How am I treating people around me? Am I treating them with kindness? Am I speaking the truth?” As a Christian, it is really important for me to embody everything this verse says. Why? A couple of reasons. The first is proverbsife because God’s word tells me to. It tells me to be kind and to tell the truth, because those are two things that God wants His followers to represent. The second reason it is important for me to do what this verse says is because I am a Christian, therefore people look to me and watch how I act. They look to me to see how I live and what I stand for. I set an example for others, and my actions can either bring honor and glory to God, or they can dishonor and shame Him. My goal is to bring glory to God in everything I do, which means being kind to others, even when it is not easy, and to speak truth.

Don’t let kindness and truth escape you, because not only do these two attributes make you a more likeable, nice person, they also bring glory to God.

In John 15:12 the Bible tells us to “Love each other as I have loved you.” It is easy to love your family and friends (most of the time at least 😉 ) but it is not always easy to love those who have done you wrong. So, how do we love everyone, even those we dislike, like God loved us, and why should we?

Easy. Because God says so. I know that is the most “Bible” answer ever, but it is the truth. We should love johnothers like God loves us, because it shows that we are different. When people see how differently you treat others and how you love others, they will be curious as to what it is that makes you different. It is Jesus that makes you different! It is the fact that you know you should love people like God loves you. God loves you even though you have disappointed Him, even though you sin, even though you sometimes do or say things that are harmful or hurtful to others. This is how you should love others, in spite of their flaws and sins. Now, this doesn’t mean you have to be their BFF, it just means you need to treat them with respect and love, just as God treats you.

You will change people’s lives when you love them as God loves you. It is so different from how the world is used to being treated. Be different, and make a difference.

In my quiet time with God I recently ran across a verse that really spoke to me. The verse is Proverbs 16:9 and it says “People can plan what they want to do, but it is the Lord who guides their steps.” Let me tell you why this verse struck a cord with me.

I like to plan things out. I know I’m not the only one out there who likes to have a plan before going into proverbsanything, and likes to know what she has to do next. I like planning life out! It makes me feel in control. You know what the problem with that is? It is that I am not the one that is in control, GOD is. No matter how many life plans I make, or how hard I try to plan for the future and plan my future out, God is the one who has the ultimate say in how my life goes. I can plan all I want! I can take a piece of paper and write down what I want my life to look like in 5 years and make all the plans my heart desires. But it is God who determines your steps, and where life takes you. Pray to Him about your desires for your life. If they are His desires for you, too, He will see them through! He will guide your steps and will take your life down the path that He desires. That is such a comfort to me, because it lets me know that I do not need to worry about how my life will go, I just need to trust in God and seek Him and he will lead me where He wants me.

I pray that you trust God with your future as well. He can do such amazing things in your life if you invite Him in!

“Be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead.” 1 Peter 1:6. I will be honest with you all. I am scared to grow up. Scared to leave for college, scared to move away from my parents, scared because the future is so uncertian. And I am sure you are all scared of many of the same things. But you know what? We should strive to be truly glad.

What do I mean? I mean we should be glad for our struggles, and glad for what life is giving us, because we are alive! We have been given the gift of life by our God, and He has allowed us to live this crazy life! The rest of the verse sasy that there is “wonderful joy ahead.” How cool is that? Even in the midst of our busy, hectic, bad newssometimes scary lives, God reminds us that there is joy ahead! Be glad for your struggles, because they are leading you to a life filled with joy! When I get worried about college and the future, I just think of the blessings that are ahead of me and how God has a plan. He has a plan to bring you and me wonderful joy! Be glad! Psalm 112:7 says “She does not fear bad news; she confidently trusts the Lord to take care of her.”

So, don’t fear bad news or the bad times, be confident that God has it under control and that he will take care of you, no matter where you are in life.

There is wonderful joy ahead!

What are the desires of your heart? Do you desire to travel? To fall in love? To serve on a mission trip? To have career success in life? We all have different desires! Want to know the one way that you can attain them? Through Jesus.psalm

Psalm 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” What does delighting yourself in the Lord mean? It means spending time with Him and treating Him like one of your best friends. Going to Him with your problems like you would a friend and taking Him along with you everywhere you go, even if it is to the grocery store or to school. God wants to be your “person.” He wants you to delight in Him! When you make Him the person who gives you the most joy in life, he will give you the desires of your heart.

I have seen this come true in my own life! I have found that in the times that I am closest to God, I see that my desires are fulfilled and he makes me content. Delight yourself in the Lord, it will do amazing things in your life!

In preparation for college, I have been looking up encouraging Bible verses to prepare both my heart and my mind for the transition. There are a lot of things I am nervous about, from getting along with roommates to making friends to succeeding in my classes. One verse that has calmed my anxious heart is Psalm 139:5, which says “ You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.”pslam

To me, this verse says that there is no need to worry about the future. God has gone before you and prepared the way for you. He already knows your future and what it holds, so there is no reason for YOU to fret about it. He has looked into the future and has seen the trials you will have, and he is preparing you for them right now. He places his hand of blessing on your head, which is a comfort to know. He has blessed you greatly and will continue to do so! Not only does God go before you, but He also follows you wherever you go. You are not alone, He is with you! When you feel nervous or anxious, just remember that whatever you are going through is in God’s plan.

God has blessed you in so many ways! Have comfort in knowing that he has gone before you and prepared a way for you!

Does life have you feeling like you just can’t win? Do you feel defeated or confused at why God is putting you through difficult times? Or, are you having trouble understanding why bad things happen to you when you are such a good person? Are you mad at God for the situations He has put you in? John 13:7 has some words of wisdom for you.john 13

John 13:7 says “Jesus replied ‘You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.’” This verse pretty much says that you might not know what God is working in your life or why he has put you in the situation or difficult times, but someday you will understand. When you feel frustrated or afraid or mad at what is going on in your life, just know that it is all for a reason. God does not give you anything you cannot handle. He knows your limits, he knows your strengths, and He knows what is best for you. In the future you will be able to look back at these hard times and know that God had his hand in all of it.

Keep the faith, keep praying, and keep trusting that God has got this all under control.

Have you ever heard the verse 1 Corinthians 15:33Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.'”? I think that it is the perfect verse for high school and even college students. The verse pretty much says that you are who you hang out with, and that if you hang around bad people, you will become like them.

How do you know you are hanging out with the wrong type of crowd? One of the first signs is that they are making you do things you do not want to do, whether it is lying to your parents or going as far as breaking the law. They do not have your best interests at heart. They might cuss and use profane language, which, if you hang out with them often, will start to rub off on you. You may start to use the same words they do. They could use peer pressure to make you do things that you know are not right, such as making fun of someone. They will make you try to believe that what you are doing is not wrong, and that everyone does it, but that is not the truth. If you start to feel guilty about what you are doing and are having doubts on whether what you are doing is right or wrong, then you know you are hanging out with the wrong type of crowd.Chelsea crockett friends

What is the solution to this problem? Find friends who actually care about you and your well-being! I know that my best friends have my back and keep me accountable when they see that I am doing something I shouldn’t be or if I am doing something that wouldn’t please God. Find friends that go to church, because friends that pray together stay together. Hang out with people that make you feel good about yourself!

Remember ladies, you are who you hang out with!

XOXO,

Chels
