Apple pie is one of my favorite desserts, but whipping one up whenever I want isn’t so easy! First you have to get all of your ingredients, spend lots of time making it, and wait for it to finish baking. Who’s got time for that? I wanted to share a quick Pinterest recipe that’ll cure your apple pie cravings in a few minutes!

Let’s start with ingredients. You’ll need Pillsbury crescent rolls, apples, brown sugar, pecans, and apple pie spice. Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F. Set out a pan lined with Chelsea Crockett - Apple Pie Bitesparchment paper and lay each triangle of dough on the paper. Take the brown sugar and the apple pie spice and spread it onto each crescent roll. Then, if you love pecans, sprinkle some chopped pecans on top of the sugar and spice! After that, you’ll need to cut up your apples like the picture above. Dip each slice in melted butter and follow by rolling it up inside the dough. Once all of your rolls are ready to be thrown in the oven, do so for only 10-12 minutes. How quick is that? Let them sit after baking for around 5 minutes and enjoy!

Let me know what you think of them!

Banana splits are delicious. Now there’re banana split concretes, banana split pies, banana split everything! One of the yummiest (and not to forget easiest) recipes I’ve found on Pinterest is banana split bites. So… here’s what you need! You’re welcome :).

For the ingredients you’ll need:Chelsea Crockett - Banana Split Bites

  • Strawberries, bananas, pineapples
  • Dark or milk chocolate
  • Vegetable oil
  • Chopped nuts

Once you’ve picked up what you need, here are your next steps. First, you’ll need to make your chocolate sauce. Take a teaspoon of oil and melt it with 2.5 oz of chocolate on the stove. While it’s melting, cut the strawberries in half and the bananas in bite-size pieces. Do the same with the pineapple! Put one piece of each fruit on a skewer and dip one side into the chocolate sauce. Quickly dip the chocolate covered fruit into the nuts. Finally, set them out onto a sheet to harden! Your final treat should look similar to the one on the right :)!

YUM! Love, Chels

Mosquitoes. One of the most annoying types of insects on the planet. Summer nights are the most vulnerable times for these bugs and they don’t miss an opportunity to make you miserable! First they bite you and then you find yourself itching for days! I have discovered a few ways to prevent mosquitoes before they get to your skin other than the usual bug sprays. If they sneak their way to you anyways, I also have a few ways to help soothe your bites!

Chelsea Crockett - OFF SprayPreventing mosquitoes from hovering around you is not as hard as you think. If you have a bottle of mint mouth wash, put it in a spray bottle and spray around wherever you and your friends are hanging out outside. This remedy has been used for years and still continues to work! Another way is to rub dryer sheets on your exposed skin. The mosquitoes hate the smell of dryer sheets, so make sure you smell plenty like them and they’ll stay away!  The other obvious solution is OFF! spray which you can purchase here!

Since mosquitoes are pretty sneaky, they might make their way onto your skin anyways. If they do, there are a few ways to help soothe the bite. You can use the obvious itching creams and medicines if you’d like, but if you are dying at home without any, I have a few home remedies instead. Dabbing rubbing alcohol on your bite always works, although it may burn a little. Another way is to rub Listerine on your bite. It contains an ingredient that cools the itch and provides some relief! Lastly, you can take an ice pack and leave it sit on the bite for 10-15 minutes. It numbs the bite and stops the itching!

Next time you’re outside, play it safe and use these tips!

Hi Insiders,

Oh the sweet smell of fall!  Tis the season for bonfires, chilly air, cozy clothes, friends, and of course, caramel apples.  Ever since I can remember, caramel apples have been my go-to fall snack.  I crave them every fall!  Lucky for you, I’ve got some unique caramel apple recipes for you to try.  If you love caramel apples, then you’ll be drooling over these desserts!

  • Caramel Apple Bites:  All you’ll need are apples, melting caramels, your favorite toppings, toothpicks, and a melon scooper.  Start by placing parchment paperChelsea Crockett- caramel apple bites on a plate or baking sheet to get ready for the final outcome.  Next, wash your apples and dry them off.  Using the scooper, scoop out little balls and place them in a bowl.  Place the melting caramels in another bowl and microwave for about a minute.  Using a toothpick, dip each apple bite into the caramel and then roll it in your favorite topping (if you want).  Place them on the sheet and put it in the refrigerator.  Enjoy!
  • Caramel Apple Ice Cream Parfait:  This one is really simple!  All you need is vanilla ice cream, apple preserves, caramel, and graham crackers or cinnamon granola.  Place a scoop of ice cream in a tall glass or bowl.  Next, layer the ice cream with the apples, caramel, and crushed graham cracker or cinnamon granola.  Repeat until the glass or bowl is full.
  • Mini Caramel Apple Pancakes:  Start by whipping up your favorite pancake batter, mixing in a pinch of brown sugar.  Next, Slice your apple down the middle and take out the core.  Cut thin slices of the apple so you have apple rings.  Then, dip each apple ring in the pancake batter and place them on the skillet.  Cook them as if they were regular pancakes.  Once done, drizzle with caramel (you can use the ice cream topping for this) and enjoy.  It’s like dessert for breakfast!

I hope you’ll enjoy these recipes.  I know I sure have!

Love,
