The craze of wanting to be skinny has taken a new toll on our generation. Everywhere you look you see models showing off their infamous thigh gap. I use the word infamous, because the thigh gap has gone from something one admired to a total obsession amongst girls. It’s even starting to drive young girls to starvation. It’s time to crack down on the thigh gap and why we need to stop worrying about it.
The thing gap isn’t something one can just achieve; it actually has something to do with body structure. If you’re made with wide hip bones and a slender frame, then you are destined to have a thigh gap since your legs are placed further apart. If your legs were built closer together, then no matter how much you diet or exercise, you probably won’t ever have a thigh gap; and THAT’S OKAY!!!
All of us girls need to stop worrying so much about being skinny, but rather healthy. Never harm your body to achieve something so irrelevant. Stop picking out things you hate about your body and start loving it! It’s time to kick the thigh gap to the curb!
