As the spring season gets underway, I am always scrambling for ideas of things to do with my free time. Spring and summer are filled with so many possibilities, and I want to make the most of every minute! The best way to ensure that you will have the best spring/summer ever is to make a bucket list and write every goal down. Here are a few activities that are totally going on my warm weather bucket list.

  1. Go to an outdoor concert: I love going to concerts, and I love the outdoors, so what could be better than an outdoor concert this season?! You’re out in the open air enjoying great music with great friends, what could be better!
  2. Weekend road trip: Take a weekend road trip with your gal pals! Bring your mommas along for a fun, refreshing weekend away, even if it is just a few hours away!
  3. Take a nature adventure: My friends and I love to go on hikes and bike rides on our local nature trails. It is a great way to strengthen your friendships AND your body at the same time!
  4. Clean that closet: Spring cleaning is a must for your closet! This can help you figure out what pieces you still need for your summer wardrobe. Organize your clothes and accessories to help you know exactly what you have.
  5. Volunteer: Volunteering is a fantastic way to both enrich your life and the lives of those around you!

Traveling with friends can be fun! Heck, me and the ChelseaCrockett.com team just took a trip to LA and had a blast! But, traveling with friends isn’t always a walk in the park. Face it, even your closest BFF can sometimes drive you batty. Here are a few tips on how to stay sane when traveling with friends!

1.      Pick wisely: Be smart when picking a travel companion. Pick a friend who you really get along with and who you genuinely like spending time with. A bad pick can end in an even worse trip!

2.      Communicate: Before the trip gets underway, talk to each other about what you want to get out of the trip that way no one ends up disappointed or feels left out. You want to make sure you both have the best time ever!IMG_9774

3.      Be considerate: Make sure you keep an eye on how your friend is doing aka their mood. You want to make sure you are both energized and happy to explore!

From short road trips to week-long getaways, any type of trip with a friend is a good one! The memories you make together will last a lifetime.

Are you a little strapped for cash, but long to go on fun dates with your boo thang? Most high school and college kids don’t have money to throw around, so when you find a way to save money and still have fun, you take it! Here are 5 super fun date ideas that are totally free and totally awesome.

  1. Make a blanket fort: Let the inner child in you break free! If the weather isn’t ideal, stay indoors, grab a few blankets, and make a blanket fort! You will both have a blast trying to assemble it, and you can even bring your laptop in there with you to watch a movie in your blanket fort!images (2)
  2. Buy flowers or balloon and give them to random people who need cheering up: Okay, so this one isn’t quite free, but the impact you will make on people’s day is priceless. Run to the dollar store, pick up some balloons and flowers and hand them out to people who are looking down in the dumps. You both will be so happy when you see the looks on people’s faces when you bless their day.
  3. Do touristy things in your own city: A lot of people don’t really explore their home town, which is a shame! Take a free trolley tour, grab a free city map and explore, or research free attractions in your city!
  4. Make a bucket list together: The items you come up with don’t even have to be things that you want to do with each other, but a bucket list can also be a great way to come up with new date ideas! And, you will learn a lot about each other’s hopes and dreams.

Go out and have a blast! Who says dating has to break the bank?

We all have that one girlfriend that we just cannot live without. She’s the peanut to your jelly and the milk to your Oreo. She just “gets” you, plain and simple. Whether you are a workin’ woman or nose deep in geometry homework, you should always make time for your BFF. How can you show her you love her? By taking her on a date, of course! Dates aren’t just for you and your boy toy, they are for your bestie, too! Here are some handy date ideas for you and your BFF:

  1. Bestie photo shoot: get a bunch of props together, dress up, do each other’s makeup, and have a blast! You can do your photo shoot anywhere, from your basement to the park!
  2. Make a best friend bucket list: come up with things that you are dying to do with each other. It can be anything from vacationing in Hawaii to skydiving! Be creative!tumblr_mke18jzIAK1s33l0qo1_500
  3. Cook each other dinner: take turns cooking each other your favorite meal. Why YOUR favorite meal? So they can learn more about what YOU love, even if it is just your favorite dish!

Next time you feel like spoiling your sister from another mister, take her out on a date! Treat her right, and get her home before curfew. 😉
