Girls either love camping or hate it.  I, for one, loving being outdoors especially if I’m hanging out with my friends and family!  Although it’s super fun, it can take a toll on my hair and skin when I’m outside for all hours of the day.  Here are some ways to keep yourself clean and healthy!

  • Dry Shampoo.Chelsea Crockett - Dry Shampoo  I know that when my hair feels gross, I feel gross.  Having dry shampoo with you wherever you go is always a necessity!  It’ll make both the feel and appearance of you hair 10x better.
  • SPF Moisturizer.  As you know, you should always, always moisturize.  But having a moisturizer with SPF protects you from the sun and is good for your skin!  Might as well kill two birds with one stone, right?
  • Baby Wipes.  If you don’t have a way to shower where you’re at, pack some baby wipes to clean yourself off with.  It sounds weird, but it’s a good way to clean off if you don’t have access to a shower!
  • Wave Spray.  If you’re having that bad of a hair day, get your hair wet and spray it with wave spray.  You can still have fabulous waves even if you feel like you’re not having the greatest hair day!

Hopefully these hacks help you out next time you take a camping trip, especially if you’re not a huge fan of it ;)!

We’re getting down to the last few weeks of summer… so depressing, right? But it’s not too late to check off a few last-minute summer getaways! I know vacations are often expensive and hard to plan last-minute, but there are so many little getaways you can plan with your friends or family!

One obvious summer trip is to plan a camping weekend with your closest BFFs. Chelsea Crockett - CampingAlmost anywhere you can find a state park or campground that you can set up tents for cheap or even free! I like finding spots like these because lots of other campers are around and it’s totally safe! You can also bring stuff for a BBQ and s’mores to top off the night :).

Another getaway you can take is a float trip! You’ll need a few more supplies than camping but it’s totally doable. Make sure you pack snacks and lots of sunscreen since you’ll be out in the sun for most of your day. It’s so fun to get a group of people and go for a weekend!

Lastly, one of the best must-do opportunities of the summer is taking a road trip! I think that’s on everyone’s summer goals list! If your parents are good with it, take a road trip somewhere only a couple hours away so you don’t have to stay overnight if your parents aren’t okay with that. Perfect!

Make the rest of your summer worth it!

Camping season is almost in full swing! A night under the stars with good friends or family is just what all of us stressed out teens could use! But a night in the great outdoors surrounded by bugs and humid weather isn’t always a girl’s dream. If you fall in this category, I’m here to give you a few tips on how to get through it while still maintaining your beauty :).

  • Sometimes a weekend retreat to the woods is hard to fit in time to wash your hair daily. Dry shampoo is a necessity to pack along if your hair gets greasy or oily easily. I know I’m not the only one who hates feeling like their hair isn’t clean. Dry shampoo can fix that problem!
  • Since you’ll be spending your days in the sun, make sure you take along facial sunscreen. Sunburns aren’t too good for your skin, especially your face. My favorite sunblock products are by Clinique. Chelsea Crockett - Beauty Traveling KitThey offer tons of different SPF amounts so you can choose what’s best for you. Clinique is great for sensitive skin, so if you’re interested click here!
  • Lastly, pack a goodie bag with all your necessary beauty essentials, in case of emergency. Tools such as a nail file, deodorant, waterproof makeup, etc. should be considered, depending on what you want to bring along with you!

What necessities do you pack along with you on a weekend getaway to the woods? Let me know below!
