Along with the leaves changing and bonfire weather slowly approaching, there’s nothing I love more about this season than all of the pumpkin spice food and products.  Besides Starbuck’s famous pumpkin spice latte, there is so much more to the pumpkin spice world that people don’t even know about!

  • Pumpkin spice gum.  Trident Layers and Extra both offer the pumpkin spice flavor!  You can get it at Target, Walgreens, or basically anywhere once fall is in full swing.Chelsea Crockett - Pumpkin Spice Bath Bomb
  • Pumpkin spice bath bombs.  Yes, these exist!  There are so many DIY recipes that teach you how to make them yourself like the picture on the right.  Nothing like pouring a hot bath and being surrounded with the pumpkin spice scent!
  • Burt’s Bees pumpkin spice chapstick.  I love Burt’s Bees products.  I always feel like I’m getting my money’s worth because their products work so well.  And now that they sell pumpkin spice chapstick, I love them even more!
  • Pumpkin spice candles.  I love lighting candles in my room when I’m doing homework or editing videos.  So during fall, I love filling my room with the smell of pumpkin spice.
  • Pumpkin spice coffee creamer.  Instead of going to Starbucks every day, purchase some flavored coffee creamer to make your own pumpkin spice latte!

If you love pumpkin spice as much as I do, I hope you love these products, as well!

Love, Chelsea

If you asked a group of 100 girls what their favorite season was, I guarantee you at least 80 of them would tell you it is fall! There is just something about that sensational season that we all cannot get enough of. All of my beauty guru gals out there love fall especially! Autumn is a great time for beauty and fashion and everything girly. Here is why!

  1. You have an excuse to change your hair color: In the cooler fall months I like to dye my hair dark brown or even chestnut. FullSizeRender (21)Richer hair colors are just classic for fall!
  2. Knee high socks, baby: I love knee highs, especially with a cute skirt and nylons! Such a cute combo. Plus, I can skip shaving for a day or so. Score!
  3. It is completely acceptable to burn cozy candles: Hello, pumpkin pie candles. I’ve missed you so.
  4. Makeup shades change: Our trends go from soft pallets and bright pinks to rich reds and smoky eyes.
  5. Nail polish hues go edgy: I love a good oxblood nail polish. It makes me feel powerful and fierce.
  6. Trade strappy sandals for beautiful boots: Nuff said!
  7. Out with the humidity: In with the manageable hair! I can actually curl my hair without it drooping or frizzing when I step outside! Hallelujah!

These are just a few reasons we Insiders love fall. This list gets me so excited for fall to come in full swing! What are some reasons that YOU love this time of year?

What better way to ring in fall than to fill your house with scents of the season! I love when my mom lights pumpkin spice or apple pie candles in my house. It makes the whole place smell so cozy and it makes me feel so happy that fall is coming! Here is how to make your very own fall flavored candles.

You will need:

  • Pint jarscandles7
  • Wick (you can buy this at any crafts store)
  • 1 cup Beeswax
  • 1 cup Coconut Oil
  • Spices (I find mine at the dollar store)

Start by placing the wicks in the jars and tape the wicks to the bottom of the jars. If you use tape just make sure it’s secure. Take the tops of the wicks, cut them long, and wrap them around an old pencil and place in the centers of the jars.

Melt the beeswax, coconut oil, and a tablespoon of spices together. My suggestion is to use a jar and place a few inches of water in the saucepan. Then when the water heats up, the contents of the jar will heat up and melt. You don’t need the wax and oil to boil, just melt.  Pour a small amount of wax into the very bottom of the jar and let it firm up so that the wick stays at the bottom.  Then pour the rest of the wax in the jar until it’s full enough. Let the candles sit still until the wax re-hardens. Then you are ready to burn your candles!

Make one for your mom, your grandma, your aunt, pshh make one for you too! I love having candles burning around the house, don’t you?

XOXO, Chels

Are you looking for a fun snow day DIY or a simple craft to do with friends? Then look no further! These funfetti candles are fun to make AND fun to smell! If you want your room to smell like cupcakes, then this DIY is just what the doctor ordered!

What you will need:570d959e302e69d7ddd53d686f131368

  • 2 16oz mason jars
  • Candle wicks
  • Hot glue gun
Pencils or something similar to hold the wicks in place
  • Tape
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • 1-2 tbsp corn syrup
  • A small paintbrush or cloth
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles
  • 1 lb soy wax flakes
  • Cupcake scented wax cubes

Hot glue the wick attachment to the bottom of the jar. In a bowl, mix the corn syrup and water. Coat the inside of the jar with the mixture and use a paintbrush to get all of the nooks and crannies. Slowly add sprinkles to the jar and roll them around to get it evenly coated. Lay a pencil across the top of the jar and tape the wick to it to keep it centered. In a double boiler, melt the wax flakes and a few of the scented cubes. Use a measuring cup with a spout to pour the wax into the jars. Make sure to pour the wax into the center of the jar to avoid messing the sprinkles up.

Viola! There you have it, two yummy-smelling candles that look good enough to eat!

XOXO, Chels
