During this time of year, I always take a moment to think about the things I’m thankful for. I try to practice this often throughout the year, but the month of Thanksgiving really gets me thinking about all the things, especially people, God has put in my life!

When you think about Thanksgiving, what do you think of?  Do you think of all the food you get to eat?  Or maybe the Macy’s Day Parade you get to watch with your family?  More importantly, we should use this holiday to genuinely reflect on all that we’re thankful for.  And this year, why don’t we actually act on it? I have decided to challenge myself this month. I want to spend some time writing thank you notes to the people in my life that I’m grateful for. I want to challenge you to do the same thing!

It may be your parents, your grandparents, your teacher, your Pastor, or a special friend that you would like to thank! Join me this month and take a little extra time to write a note that tells someone just how much they mean to you.  You may think it’s cheesy, but it’ll mean more to them than you know!

I think this little Thanksgiving project will bless you just as much as it blesses the receiver of your letter! I certainly hope to bless those that I’m thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Love, Chels

It’s easy to stay in your comfort zone. Taking a leap of faith, changing something in your life, or going to a faraway land can be very scary! Many don’t realize that taking these chances can be the best decision of your life. I always wonder what life would be like if I didn’t decide to start my channel. It’s hard to even imagine! I’m so thankful for the chances that I’ve taken. It’s time that we all scare ourselves a little!Chelsea Crockett- If your dreams don't scare you they're not big enough

Do you ever find yourself stuck in the same old routine? Do you have big dreams that seem unachievable? Side note: They’re not! One of my favorite quotes is, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.” Change is scary, but how can you grow if you don’t welcome change? Scare yourself by traveling across the ocean, changing up your look, or taking on a job or task that seems too big to handle. The result will surprise you. Not only will you believe in yourself more, but you’ll have the confidence to take on even bigger challenges! I never thought I’d be making YouTube videos for millions of people, but it’s given me the drive to try bigger things. I promise: if you scare yourself, the end result will change you (in a good way, of course)!

XOXO,

Too Blessed to Be Stressed

Stress can consume our lives. It can make us forget about the joy that lies throughout our day.  Even the biggest blessings can get overlooked, because stress consumes our thoughts, actions, and outlook on life.  The Bible says not to be stressed or anxious about anything, but to pray and give thanksgiving to God.  We are all too blessed to be stressed!Chelsea Crockett- bible verses for stress

Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t even realize something great happening in your life, because you were too busy stressing? Suppose it’s the night before your big test, but you were too busy fighting with your boyfriend or girlfriend to study.  When you walk into class the next day, you’re too worked up to even realize that the test was postponed.  You overlook the blessing of the test being cancelled and continue dwelling on the fight.  Small blessings can have a huge impact, even though they might seem minimal.  Every time something like this happens it’s God’s way of saying, “I’ve got your back.”

Challenge yourself to thank God more for the blessings he has put in your life rather than stress out about anything. There’s nothing on this earth that can override God’s blessings.  He is SO good!

XOXO,

Chelsea

My life can get crazy at times.  Through my success with YouTube and social media, some may say I’ve been very lucky.  I mean, I’m only 16!  I realize that I am very lucky, but I prefer the word “blessed”.  Check out these two definitions:Chelsea Crockett- Blessed

Lucky: producing a good result by chance

Blessed: enjoying happiness; very welcomed, pleasured, and appreciated through a connection with God

By being a believer, God has blessed my life tremendously!  If it wasn’t for Him, I wouldn’t be where I am today.  I do not think that my success has come from chance, but rather from the grace of God!  Every day I thank Him for all the opportunities that I have been presented with and will continue to do so.  Have you ever prayed to God about something that you really wanted/needed in your life and it came true?  That wasn’t luck.  It was a blessing from God!  Remember that the next time a blessing comes your way.  I challenge you to take the word “lucky” out of your vocabulary and switch it with the word “blessed”.  God will be smiling over you!

God bless Insiders!
