With fall rolling around, it’s no surprise that your lips might start getting chapped.  Between the cool breeze and change in weather, it’s almost guaranteed that your lips will take a beating.  Luckily, ChapStick has got us covered!   Between an array of formulas, flavors, and products, your lips will be taken care of under any circumstance!

ChapStick has recently come out with a new dual-ended hydration lock chap stick.  The newly renovated chap stick comes in two types: day/night, where one end is thicker for a night application and lighter with SPF for a day application, and moisturize/renew, where the moisturize side reduces fine lines and smooth’s the lips and the renew side contains shea butter and mango to condition.  The portable chap stick is perfect for any occasion. Chelsea Crockett- ChapStick duel-ended hydration lock

We’ve all been victims of it…dry, flakey lips.  They’re the worst!  You pile on layers and layers of Chap Stick, and still, NOTHING!  So how can you beat the dreaded winterized lips?  I promise there is a way!

Start off by trying not to lick your lips.  A lot of people think that when they’re lips get dry, then they need to lick them.  Wrong!  This will actually end up drying out your lips more since it is removing your lips natural oils.  Another way to have soft lips is to apply chap stick the right way!  Go for a lip balm that says “moisturizing” or “medicated”.  These types of balms hold moisture in, while repairing the damage.  For extra protection apply a wax or petroleum jelly seal over the top to really set the balm.

Lip scrubs are a great quick fix.  The sugar crystals will gently remove the dead skin, while the oil will replenish moisture and create a soft surface.  Just be sureChelsea Crockett- lip scrub not to over exfoliate.  You don’t want to create sensitive lips!  Get rid of the pesky winter lips by taking care of them the right way!

Chelsea

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, but being on a plane for hours at a time can get boring.  You’re so excited to get to your destination that time seems to barely move!  The key to an easy and entertaining flight is packing the perfect carry-on bag.  Check out my list below!Chelsea Crockett- airport

  • Magazines or a good book:  Get lost in a book and the time will fly!
  • Music player and headphones:  Whether it’s your iPhone or an mp3 player, having music is a must!  Try downloading some new songs before you hit the airport!
  • Snacks:  Not all airlines serve snacks during your flight.  Don’t starve yourself by refusing to buy that $10 pack of peanuts they sell on the plane.  Instead, pack a variety of quick and easy snacks to keep you satisfied the whole flight long.
  • A jacket:  Most airplanes are set at a cool temperature since guests have to sit so close together.  Be sure to pack a jacket so you’re not freezing mid-air.
  • Chap Stick:  The air in most airplane cabins is cool and dry.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you brought this with you.
  • Neck pillow:  If you have a little extra room in your bag, try bringing a neck pillow.  It will make sleeping on the plane so much more comfortable.  Don’t expect the airline to supply you with a pillow and blanket!

Safe travels,

Chelsea
