Summer time is for natural themed and minimal makeup. The less makeup you wear the better, becauelle-04-bb-creams-maybelline-dream-fresh--xln-xlnse you are just going to sweat off what you are wearing anyway, and the less clogging your pores the better. Here are all of the products you will need to keep it natural this summer!

  1. BB Cream: BB creams are a lot more light weight than foundation so they won’t clog up your face or start to melt off when you sweat.
  2. Concealer- Just to quickly cover up those pesky pimples!
  3. Mascara- Lather up those lashes and use your natural beauty to your advantage!
  4. Eye pencil- Use light liner to give your eyes some dimension.
  5. Lip balm- All of the hot weather and sun will really dehydrate those lips if you aren’t too careful! Be sure to use a balm that has SPF to keep those lips protected!

Summer time is all about being free, fresh, and fun, so your makeup should be the same way too!

The word “natural” can be scary for us girls.  Between the frizzy, half straight-half curly hair, lovely face blemishes, and dark under eye circles, going natural is a breeze (Note: sarcasm was used in the making of this article)!  Luckily, with some minor, and not to mention quick, adjustments, you can look beautiful going natural!  Check out how to embrace your true beauty.

Every once in a while, it’s time to give your hair a rest.  Between the endless hours you’ve spent straightening it, it’s probably screaming for help!  After your next shower, let your hair air dry.  For a sleek look, try adding a dime size of Moroccan oil to your beautiful locks.  Start at the ends of your hair and work your way up, otherwise your hair could appear greasy.  The oil reduces frizz and keeps your ends in place.  If you have wavy or curly hair, try using a gel in order for it to maintain its curl.Chelsea Crockett- natural makeup

Next comes the tricky part, your face.  All you need is some concealer and sheer lip gloss.  Start by adding the concealer to your under eyes and any blemishes your zits that are highly visible.  If the zit isn’t causing too much harm, then let it breathe.  It will hear quicker this way.            Lastly, throw on some lip gloss and complete your natural look.  This is an easy way to fool people into thinking you have flawless, natural hair and skin!  Less is more, so go bold this summer with minimum makeup!

There’s an endless amount of different articles and websites explaining how to prevent and reduce acne. But let’s be real girls, it is NOT that easy! The harsh reality of acne isn’t so sweet. Most of the time, we tend to break out right before a special date or school pictures… Nowadays there is a wide variety of products available to help cover up your blemishes. Here are some remedies and ways to cover up and conceal those imperfections in no time!

First off, don’t try popping a pimple while you are walking out the door. This just causes more redness and swelling, bringing more attention to it. To help the swelling go down quickly, try applying cold compresses to it for about 10 minutes. Another remedy (which is a little strange but extremely helpful) is applying eye drops to your pimple. Weird, right? But it works, I promise!

SChelsea Crockett - Clinique Advanced Concealerecond, concealing your acne is a must. Make sure your face is clean and moisturized before applying your makeup, especially your concealer. You don’t want your makeup coming off only an hour into the day. One of the best products is Clinique’s Advanced Concealer. Especially for those with sensitive skin, Clinique’s concealer is excellent to cover up your imperfections. It comes in two different shades and is the perfect camouflage :). After concealing, take an eye shadow brush and dip it in loose powder that matches your skin tone. Dab it onto the area you want it. This will help the makeup stay on your skin instead of sliding off.
