Christmas is the best holiday of the year.  Not only do you get to experience good food and good company, but you get to dress up in your most stylish holiday attire!  I always have trouble finding Chelsea Crockett - Christmas Outfitthe perfect outfit to wear for all the family get-togethers and fun festivities that come along with the day.  Depending on what you have lined up, you’ll either need a casual outfit, a formal outfit, or maybe even both!  Here are a few ideas to get the holiday fashion flowing!

Casual: The outfit on the left is one of my favorite looks this year.  Poncho coats and cardigans like the one on the left are super “in” this year.  Don’t be shy to rock a mix of red and green!  Plaid is also the perfect pattern that isn’t too over-the-top.  Pair this look with some gold accessories, a pair of heeled booties, and a maroon lip!

Formal:  First, pick what colors are appropriate for the occasion.  I would suggest reds, greens, maroon, tan, neutral colors, etc.  Keep it Christmas-oriented!  Long-sleeved high-neck shirts like the one in the featured image above are perfect to pair with a suede skirt and heels!  If you want to wear a dress, velvet is super popular this season.  Pair it with a clutch and a cute pair of boots or heels!

Which look are you going to try out this Christmas?  Share with me below! 🙂

During the summer, for me, every day is different. One day I could be going to a friend’s house to bum around by the pool, the next I could be all dressed up hitting the city with some gal pals. Whatever the case may be, I always need to be dressed for the occasion. Here are three outfits that summarize my summer, from casual, to semi casual, to dressy.

  1. Casual: If I am heading to town with friends or hanging out at someone’s house, my usual go-to outfit is a simple white tank and some faded, ripped jeans or cutoff shorts. This outfit is just casual enough to be comfy and cute at the same time.summer
  2. Semi-casual: If I am headed into the city for the day or to a friend’s party, I love to wear a floral romper. They aren’t too dressy but aren’t too casual. They are the perfect happy medium! Plus, they are so totally adorable. I wish I could fill my closet with them!summer 1
  3. Dressy: If I am going to dinner in the city or going to a nicer summer event, I will opt for a flowy dress and sweet accessories. This white dress is classic and feminine, plus the hat gives it a boho, hipster flare.summer 2What is YOUR summer go-to outfit? Comment below!

Fashion trends are the only things I know to come and go as fast as they do.  As of right now, two of my favorite looks that are new for this season are rompers and jumpsuits!  They are feminine and flirty!  Both are perfect when you want to roll out of bed and not think about pairing or matching because they are all one piece.  Rompers are fun to throw on to go shopping with a cute pair of sandals.  They come in all colors with scalloped edges, fringed fronts, belted waists, etc.  So if you are tired of your old sundresses, you can pop on a fashion-forward romper!  They also make super cute swimsuit cover ups!Chelsea Crockett - Romper

Jumpsuits are usually a little dressier and more mature than a romper.  They come in many different styles.  Some have fun halter tops with palazzo pants.  You can flaunt solid, floral, or tribal prints.  The options are endless.  They are perfect for a tropical vacation or a memorable night out.  You can dress them up with strappy heeled sandals and a gorgeous blazer, or dress them down with flat sandals and a denim jacket.  It’s obvious that us girls like to sport the newest trends.  Jumpsuits and rompers used to be “fashion don’ts” but now they are “fashion dos”!  So, what are you waiting for?  Start shopping!

Shorts and a shirt combined…talk about the easiest outfit ever!  The romper came about as an easier alternative to a dress.  It’s easy to throw on and you never have to worry about someone seeing up it or the wind picking it up like a dress!  It’s the hottest, easiest, most stylish outfit choice on the market!

There are 2 different kinds of rompers: short and long.  Short rompers look like shorts and long rompers look like pants.  Both have either a long sleeve or short sleeve top attached.  The best part about rompers is that they can be dressed up or down and worn in any season.  For a casual look, try throwing on a simple romper with a pair of sandals, basic biker jacket, and a few accessories.  You can even wear a fedora to spice up your look a bit!  This look can be worn to almost anything…except something fancy of course!  They are also perfect as swimsuit cover-ups!Chelsea Crockett- pant romper  If you’re looking to dress up your romper, go for a romper with embellishments or details, or a simple black.  If you choose a short romper, pair it with your favorite heels, a statement necklace, a blazer, and a clutch.  If you choose to wear a long romper, ditch the blazer and opt for extra accessories.  Both looks are so chic and are perfect for a night out!

Whether you’re going to the beach, joining your girlfriends for lunch, or hitting the town, a romper is the perfect route to go!  You’ll never have to worry about matching your shirt and pants ever again!

XOXO,

Chelsea

Emergency! Bad Hair Day: 3 Quick Hairstyles for a Formal Event

I think we’re all in agreement that a bad hair day counts as an emergency… A girl’s worst nightmare!  Especially when the event you have is formal or dressy, with no time to fix up your hair.  I decided to put together three easy, on-the-go hair styles that can substitute for any fancy up-do!

Style number one… a high bun, or sock bun!  Chelsea Crockett - High BunAlthough the traditional sock bun is still cute and fashionable, I like to put a little spin on it and create a high bun.  It’s almost the same thing as a sock bun, but with a slight different look to it.  I have a tutorial on my channel titled “Easy High Bun.”  Check that out and you’re set!  It’s super simple and non-time consuming.

Style number two… a slicked back ponytail, AKA the Kardashian ponytail :)!  This one works best with longer hair.  To start out, you’ll need a ponytail, bobby pins, and some hairspray.  Leave out a small section of hair at the back of your head.  Pull your hair back into a high ponytail, making sure the elastic is tight around your hair.  After, wrap the sectioned piece of hair around the tie and secure it with a couple bobby pins.  If you have fly-a-ways, spray them down with hairspray so your ponytail looks clean and slick.

Last, but not least, style number 3… braided half-up.  Part your hair where you normally do and take one, two-inch front sections from each side of your part.  Braid both pieces and secure them together in the back with bobby pins or a small hair tie.

Hope this helps next time you’re a little off schedule!
