Hair trends are like any other trend, they stay for a season or two then get replaced by even better ones!  This fall, there are a few upcoming looks that you just might have to try out for yourself!  Here are 5 hair trends you should know about for the upcoming season!

  • Caramel Brown.  Chelsea Crockett - Rose HairWinter is usually the time to go darker rather than lighter with your hair.  But if you don’t want to go too dark, go with a soft, caramel brown!  You can still switch up your look without going too out of your comfort zone.
  • Rose.  If you’re willing to get a little out of your comfort zone, try out a dusty rose color.  Pastel hair has become a trend in the past few years so why not hop on the bandwagon and try it out for yourself!
  • Red Accents/Highlights.  I’ve always been a little tempted to try this trend out for myself.  You can get a subtle red tint or go for a full head of vibrant, red highlights.  Whatever suits you best!
  • Bold Brown.  Instead of adding subtle brown highlights, be bold and go for a dark, chocolate brown.  Why not, right?!
  • Blonde Lowlights.  If you want something a little more natural, try blonde lowlights.  Although you can only get these if you’re already blonde, they give you that darker tint that’s perfect for the winter!

Be daring this fall and give one of these a try!  Hey, you can always dye it back right? 🙂

It’s crazy how makeup can make a person look so different! While we want to look young and bright, sometimes makeup can make us look dull or even older (not in a good way). So how can we stop this from happening? Keep on reading to see if you’re applying makeup incorrectly!Chelsea Crockett- exfoliate

  • Don’t pass up primer! Primer minimizes your pores and keeps makeup on longer! You won’t have to worry about weird lines or big pores, especially around your nose.
  • Make sure you’re using the correct foundation. Don’t pack on too much powder or liquid foundation and make sure you are using the correct shade.
  • Don’t dye your hair all one color. If you go to a stylist, ask him/her to add warmth or another tone into your hair! It’ll help make your face glow!
  • Not exfoliating regularly will lead to a buildup of dirt and dry skin. By exfoliating, you’ll be giving your face completely new skin!
  • Wear SPF every day! While you may not notice how it’s changing your skin now, you will when you’re older!

Let’s feel youthful forever!

At-Home vs. Salon Hair Color

Dying your hair can be fun, but it can also be disastrous! It can be messy, turn out the wrong color, or look splotchy! There is a lot of debate whether or not getting your hair dyed at a salon is actually worth it. While it is definitely more expensive than doing it yourself, the results are far better than box dye. Find out why!Chelsea Crockett- salon dye

  • Dye takes the moisture out of your hair leaving it dry and brittle. Salon dye is better quality than box dye, which is healthier for your hair. You’ll notice less split ends and a silkier result with salon dye.
  • Stylists know how to fix a mistake! There are specific products used to fix a dye mishap. Professional stylists know how to fix the problem without worsening or damaging your hair.
  • Salons are equipped with the proper tools, including foil and applicators.
  • Many people don’t know that there are multiple steps if you want to go much lighter or much darker. Most of the time, a stylist has to strip the hair of its color before the desired color can be applied. If you go straight into using the box dye, the color may turn out entirely different!
  • When dying your hair at home you have to be very careful! Dye can ruin your clothes, towels, or furniture. It’s much more powerful than you think!

Next time you want to change up your hair, stop by your nearest salon!

Hair is one of the biggest statements of a girl. An edgy cut sometimes gives off an outgoing feel to that person. Other times, long curls and a bow could come off as sweet, shy, or flirty. The color of a girl’s hair also plays a big role in what kind of a personality they may have. Here are a few hair trends for you to experiment with this summer… if you’re daring enough :)! For the brunettes that want to change it up a bit, I have the perfect way to do just that. Adding a reddish tint throughout your hair that isn’t too much but just noticeable is super cute and edgy. Ariana Grande is only one example of someone that can pull this color off perfectly!

For those who do not want to fully dye their hair or color it, hair chalk is a great substitute to try out a look. You can buy hair chalk at almost any beauty store such as Sephora, Sally’s Beauty Supply, or Ulta. The name itself is pretty self-explainable. You buy whatever color chalk you want and rub it on the parts you want your hair to be “dyed.” It’s only temporary and washes out when you shower. It’s a perfect way to put a certain look through a test-run if you are curious as to how it would look on you!  Check it out here:http://tiny.cc/HairChalk!Chelsea Crockett - Hair Chalk Another trend that is very unique but still stylish is pastel hair. This works better for really light blondes. Adding a streak of light pink or purple in the under layer of your hair is super cute! Or you could even try dying the ends of your hair a baby blue!
