Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  It’s the meal that gives you the energy to start your day!  I always think of quick and easy meals I can create to give my body the boost it needs.  Well, toast is a fast way to start your day and it can be extremely healthy and nutritious if you know what to add to it.

Chelsea Crockett - Toast RecipesThe first recipe involves a piece of wheat toast with peanut butter and bananas!  Smear on a healthy serving of smooth or crunchy peanut butter, whatever you prefer. Take a banana and slice it up then put the banana slices all over the top of the peanut butter. Feel free to sprinkle a little cinnamon across the top of your toast, too!

Another recipe that I love is avocado toast. I take half an avocado and smash it up then add salt, pepper, and some red pepper flakes to it. Stir it all up and smear the avocado spread all over the top of your toast. It’s delicious! Feel free to add some bacon slices if you have some :).

My other favorite go-to recipe is scrambled egg with cheese and bacon on toast.  I love to take a fresh egg and scramble it in olive oil. Then, I add some cheddar cheese to the mix and stir it up. I toast my wheat bread and put the scrambled egg on top of it after it’s done! While I’m cooking all of that, I fry my bacon in the microwave. It comes out very crisp and I add it to my scrambled egg sandwich! YUM!

Bon appetit! – Chelsea

Lemme tell ya… cold weather can be rough on the skin!  As soon as the temperature drops, my face starts getting drier and drier.  I’ve tried different products that have worked for my skin type and others that have made it even worse.  I’ve found a few DIYs you can do at home that actually make a difference and cost almost nothing!

  • Egg yolk on your face might not sound like the most pleasant thing, but egg yolk contains proteins that help with shedding skin!  Mix together a teaspoon of olive oil and two egg yolks.  Apply the mixture to your face for about 5 minutes and rinse it off with warm water!Chelsea Crockett - Lemon Face Mask
  • Mix together a teaspoon of sugar and the juice from half of a lemon.  The sugar works as a scrub to remove any dead or flakey skin.  The lemon juice helps promote skin growth which leaves your pores smooth and glowing!  Scrub the mask on in a circular motion for about 10-15 minutes.  Then rinse it off!
  • Dry skin doesn’t only appear on your face.  If you have problems with dry skin on other areas of your body, put a cup of sea salt in a warm bath and relax in it for 20 minutes or so!  If you repeat this process 2 or 3 times a week, your skin will be detoxed, smooth, and hydrated!

Which DIY recipe are you going to try out?  Tell me below!

I put raw egg in my hair today, ladies. Can you believe it? It is actually SO incredibly good for your hair! The hair mask that I tried tonight combines egg yolk, honey, and olive oil! Sounds kind of yucky, but your hair will totally thank you!

Combine one egg yolk, one tablespoon of honey, and three tablespoons of olive oil in a small bowl. Whisk all of the ingredients together and make sure that you have a nice smooth mixture! Brush out your hair and make sure that all of the tangles are out of your hair. Apply this ooey gooey mess to the ends of your hair with your fingers. Tie your hair up into a bun to keep the mess off of your clothes. Leave the mixture in your hair for about an hour egg-honey-hair-mask chelsea crockettand then rinse it out with warm water in the shower! Shampoo and condition as you usually would. I recommend using this remedy once every two weeks just to keep your ends nice and moisturized, because when you have moisturized hair, it doesn’t break as easily! That means longer, more luscious hair for you!

If you are brave enough to test this fun hair mask comment below and tell me what you think!

Are you grossed out by the nastiness that you call your hair? Is your mane damaged beyond compare? Do your split ends have split ends? Never fear, Chelsea is here! Now don’t get grossed out when I tell you the ingredients to this hair treatment. Hang with me here ladies. This treatment requires olive oil……and a raw egg. There, I said it. But no worries, once you feel how silky smooth your hair is after this treatment, you will want to have raw egg in your hair all the time! (Okay, maybe I took that one a bit too far..) But on a serious note, this treatment is totally worth sitting with raw egg in your hair for a bit. Read on, Insiders!

Step 1:

Chelsea Crockett Olive Oil

Warm about 1/4 of a cup of olive oil in the good ‘ole microwave. Then, mix in that lovely egg.

Step 2:

Work that fabulous mixture into your locks. Put a shower cap over that noggin of yours and let the mixture sit on your hair for 30-60 minutes. While it is in your hair, you can kill time by reading a book, browsing articles on ChelseaCrockett.com (hint hint 😉  ), whatever floats your boat!

Step 3:

Rinse all that goo out of your hair and shampoo and condition that mane! You may have to shampoo twice to get all of that oil out.

Step 4:

Feel your silky smooth locks and tell yourself how happy you are that you checked out this very article.

How super duper easy was that?! Now comment below and tell me how this works out for ya!

Homemade Face Mask for Oily Skin

Chelsea Crockett- eggs  Do you ever look at a picture you took and notice how oily your face looks?  Do you have to reapply powered foundation every couple hours to keep the oil off your face?  Well, if you said yes, I have the perfect face mask for you!  It’s an egg mask, sounds gross, but hey, it gets the job done!  The ingredients to make this mask are very simple, just one organic egg and two small bowls.  Start off by washing the shell of your egg and separating the yolk and egg white into the different bowls.  The easiest way to do this is to slide the egg yolk back and forth, draining out the egg whites.  Now, with a clean fork, beat the egg whites.  Once you start to see bubbles, then you know it’s ready.  Clean your face of all makeup, and using a tablespoon of the egg whites, apply it all over your face using your fingers.  Let it dry, you won’t be able to smile, and rinse off.  Now, it’s time for the egg yolk.  It is actually a natural face moisturizer.  Break open the yolk and apply a small, yet generous, amount to your face.  Again, let it dry and rinse it off.  Finish with your favorite face moisturizer and voilà; you’ve got soft, silky, and non-oily skin.  It’s as easy as that!

Enjoy,
