Quick and easy are two words that describe my ideal beauty remedy. That is exactly what this next face mask is! All you need is cotton balls, some plain Greek yogurt, and a probiotic capsule to make your very own nourishing face mask. The Greek yogurt contains lactose enzymes which work hard to rid your skin of dirt. This combo can also help prevent breakouts and reduce redness!images (4)

What you will need:

  • Probiotic capsule
  • Cold plain Greek yogurt
  • Cotton balls

This mask is super simple to make. All you do is split open the probiotic capsule and mix it with 3 to 4 tablespoons of Greek yogurt in a small bowl. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture to your face in an even layer and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a towel. You should now have soft silky skin and see a reduction in redness!

Having healthy skin is one of the simple pleasures in life. A homemade coconut oil face mask can help you get there! Coconut oil is naturally rich in antioxidants and healthy acids and will soften and lubricate healthy skin cells, break down dead cells, heal acne, and hydrate skin. How does this homemade mask work?

Coconut oil’s structure allows it to infiltrate skin pores to soften rough skin from within. Honey is a natural humectant, which hydrates skin cells. The last ingredient is lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice helps tighten and shrink large pores.96070-OrganicCoconutOil

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Combine the above ingredients in a small bowl. Apply a thick coat of mask mixture onto your clean face. Allow the mixture to sit on your face for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water. Pat your face dry, don’t rub it.

Now get ready for clear, soft skin!

Why Avocados Need to Be in Your Beauty Routine…NOW!

Oh avocados! They’re so yummy sliced up on a sandwich or mashed up into guacamole.  Some may only use avocados to satisfy their taste buds, but did you know that they are actually the perfect fruit to incorporate into your beauty routine.  Check out a few of my favorite ways to look more beautiful using avocados!Chelsea Crockett- avocado face mask

Avocados are packed full of biotin which helps keep skin moisturized and prevents hair from becoming too dry. To incorporate avocados into your beauty regime, make sure they are fully ripe.  To hurry up this process, place the avocado in a brown bag with a banana and let it sit overnight.  If your skin is feeling dry, mash up the avocado pulp, spread evenly on clean skin, and let sit for 15 minutes.  Let the vitamin E soak through your skin and then rinse it off with warm water.

Are puffy eyes showcasing that you’re not getting enough sleep? No problem!  Slice the avocado so that each piece is in a crescent shape.  Lie down and place a slice under each eye.  Leave on for approximately 20 minutes before rinsing it off.  If your hair is feeling dry this season, try adding a few drops of avocado oil to your conditioner.  This inexpensive oil will do the trick!

No need to purchase fancy and expensive creams to keep your skin and hair top notch during these cold months!

Love,

Chelsea

I am always looking for new natural beauty remedies. A lot of times, choosing to make your own beauty concoctions is a cheaper alternative to buying them, and they are a lot better for you! Here is how to make your very own refreshing exfoliating mask!

Ingredients:NH-SO10-orange-slice

–          Oranges

–          Baking Soda

That is all you need! I love beauty remedies that have very few ingredients because they are simple, which means they are easy to make and easy to find the ingredients to! So, take a tablespoon of juice from your oranges and one tablespoon of baking soda and mix the two ingredients together in a small bowl to create a paste. Spread a thin layer of the paste on your face. Leave the mixture on for about 20 minutes, and don’t worry if it starts to tingle! That means it is doing its job.  Dampen your fingertips and scrub the mask in a circular motion to exfoliate your problem areas. Rinse the mask off of your face and admire your skin! Not only will you smell like a citrus goddess, you will have super clean glowing skin.

Like I said, I love keeping things all natural and homemade. Try this mask and see what you think! You may even have these ingredients laying around your kitchen. Bonus!

Homemade Face Mask for Oily Skin

Chelsea Crockett- eggs  Do you ever look at a picture you took and notice how oily your face looks?  Do you have to reapply powered foundation every couple hours to keep the oil off your face?  Well, if you said yes, I have the perfect face mask for you!  It’s an egg mask, sounds gross, but hey, it gets the job done!  The ingredients to make this mask are very simple, just one organic egg and two small bowls.  Start off by washing the shell of your egg and separating the yolk and egg white into the different bowls.  The easiest way to do this is to slide the egg yolk back and forth, draining out the egg whites.  Now, with a clean fork, beat the egg whites.  Once you start to see bubbles, then you know it’s ready.  Clean your face of all makeup, and using a tablespoon of the egg whites, apply it all over your face using your fingers.  Let it dry, you won’t be able to smile, and rinse off.  Now, it’s time for the egg yolk.  It is actually a natural face moisturizer.  Break open the yolk and apply a small, yet generous, amount to your face.  Again, let it dry and rinse it off.  Finish with your favorite face moisturizer and voilà; you’ve got soft, silky, and non-oily skin.  It’s as easy as that!

Enjoy,
