AH INSIDERS!! BeautyCon LA was absolutely dreamy and I can’t wait to tell you about it! I was so excited to get to hug so many of you in person!! The smiles I saw made what I do so worth it!

The LA weekend started off with the Teen Vogue and Neutrogena party with a bunch of my beauty babes. We live all over the U.S., so getting to hang out with some of my fav YouTube friends is always a blast! I love soaking in every moment. The next morning I headed over to the AwesomenessTV Studios to discuss some secret projects *wink, wink*! Once the meetings were over, I got some time to soak in the Santa Monica sun with Lexi, Ana, Rachel, and my family! Now that the day was over, I was pretty excited to get to bed after a long day (who doesn’t love a nice and fluffy hotel bed?). Let’s just say sleeping was a little difficult with how excited I was. Next stop? BEAUTYCON!Chelsea Crockett- BeautyCon LA

Pulling up to BeautyCon gave me a rush of excitement! I couldn’t wait to get to my meet and greet to see you all. When I saw how many of you were lined up I couldn’t believe my eyes! You guys are incredible!! I wish I could’ve meet and talked to each and every one of you! Thank you for being the high light of my day! I also had a panel later in the day with Barbie! It was so fun to meet new faces, including Madison Pettis (like whaaaat?!), and I love hearing all the amazing girls talk about their journey! I was excited when my website got brought up at the panel. My team and I put so much work in it, which was so rewarding to talk about!

I could talk about my BeautyCon LA experience forever! If I had to sum up the weekend in two words it would be: THANK YOU! Thank you for watching my videos, thank you for lifting me up, and thank you for putting a smile on my face. I do it all for YOU! I love my Insiders and hope to see you next time I attend BeautyCon!

XOXO,

As you age, you not only grow physically, but mentally as well.  It’s important to put yourself in challenging situations to learn how to manage on your own and become more mature.  Although it may seem hard to step out of your comfort zone, your future self with thank you for it!Chelsea Crockett- Jeremiah 29 11

If you’re in high school and nervous about going to college, follow your gut!  If you’ve always dreamed of going away for school, then do it.  Don’t let your family or friends talk you out of anything you have your heart set on.  If you have an idea what you want to do for your future career, always research jobs paths so you can go into a program with confidence!

If you get the chance to travel, take every opportunity!  Immersing yourself in another culture is one of the best ways to grow.  If you study abroad and learn to live in a foreign land, you’ll notice that you grow up quickly.  You’ll also have a better appreciate for the world and your own country, city, or small town.  Being away from close family and friends for an extended period of time will make you realize how much they actually do for you and how much they mean to you.

Growing up happens to all of us, but growing as a person takes time.

It’s almost 2015 which means it’s time to think about what you want to leave behind in 2014.  Time to reflect and rethink things you like and dislike about your Chelsea Crockett - New Years Quotelife.  Time to make resolutions to change your life for the better!  Perhaps you need to switch up your eating and exercising habits.  Or maybe even make new friends?  Whatever you’re thinking, it’s time to set goals and objectives for the new year!

New Year’s resolutions don’t always mean setting them solely for ourselves. As teens, we’re becoming more independent from our families and relying on friends more often.  Do we need to spend more time with our friends or family to make them feel important?  What could we change in our lives to make those people feel special?

Probably the most popular resolution we should consider making would be to eat healthy and exercise!  Whether you’re thin or overweight, it’s important to get the necessary amount of activity to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  It’s recommended for the average high school student to get 60 minutes of physical activity per day (if you can even find 60!). Simply setting a goal of 30 minutes, five days a week would be a start!

Last but not least would be to look at our effort and ability in school.  If we struggle in a certain area, how about working to change that B to an A? Studying more, staying organized, getting more sleep… Whatever your resolution is, I would love to hear about it!  Let me know below and maybe I’ll join you!

Happy New Year! – Chels

Unfortunately, stress is happening everywhere, all the time.  Whether it’s in your family, your friend group, school work, or in a relationship, stress can be hard to avoid.  Although it’s easy to come by, is it really worth our time?  Let’s investigate.

Think about that boy you were talking to at school.  You felt like things were going great, but he never seemed as interested as you did.  You constantly thought about what you were doing wrong, when in reality he wasn’t ready for a relationship.  Nothing you did was wrong, and yet, you spent sleepless nights stressing over it.  Is that guy really worth your happiness and time?Chelsea Crockett- Matthew 6 34

We spend hours a week worrying and stressing over things that may not even come true or weren’t even a problem in the first place.  Although it’s hard not to stress, keep it to a minimum and learn to move on quickly.  Life has too many amazing opportunities and caring people in it to worry about the people that aren’t worried about you.  Don’t give stress your time of day.  Instead, go for a run, have a long talk with friends, or do something to take your mind off the given situation.

Life is beautiful!  Kick stress to the curb, it isn’t worth your time!

Love,

Chelsea

Girls, we’ve all been there. Between heartbreaks, friends, wanting to look good, and lady problems, we’ve been through it all.  Luckily, most of us can all relate to each other through one form or another.  We need to reunite!  Comment below if you can relate to these everyday struggles of being a girl.

  1. Walking into a room or store and completely forgetting why you were there in the first place.
  2. Noticing you didn’t cover those ugly pimples correctly and your eyeliner is crooked.
  3. Asking your friend if you bled through your pants. “Hey um can you just check for me.”
  4. Constantly complaining!!!
  5. Shaving your legs and then automatically feeling like you’re going to turn into a cactus the minute you get cold.
  6. Asking your dog for comfort.
  7. Feeling like your dog is your only friend.Chelsea Crockett- dog
  8. Having awkward conversations with your mom or dad.
  9. Asking your friends if you have lipstick on your teeth.
  10. Having that one embarrassing friend, but you still love them.
  11. Secretly picking a wedgie.
  12. JUST BEING A GIRL IN GENERAL.

Life is full of ups and downs.  That boy you liked?  He broke your heart.  That test you studied hours for?  You got a bad grade.  Between all the craziness life throws at you, it’s so important to have a solid support system.  We all know that family is the greatest support system a person can have, but what if you’re away from them?  How do you establish the right support system?  Knowing how is key to ultimate support.Chelsea Crockett- support system

What you look for in a friend is extremely important.  If you’re away from home, establishing a solid friend group is very important.  They will become your support system!  Look for people who will build you up and be good listeners.  You don’t want to be expressing your problems to someone who sits on their phone the entire time.

The worst thing you can do to yourself is bottle stuff in.  Letting tears and emotions out is healthy, and talking to the right people is even healthier.  Surrounding yourself with positive people makes a terrible situation a little better day by day.  Instead of dwelling on the bad, try focusing on the good.  Get out of the house and do something for someone else or something fun with your friends.  Anything to get your mind off the negative!  Always remember how blessed you are and be thankful.  Everything happens for a reason.

XOXO,

Chelsea

As sweet summer time comes to an end, I always find it important to reflect on all of the amazing memories I have from summer vacation.  This summer is no exception and one that I will never forget!  Come with me as I take you on a journey through my 2014 summer reflection.

Spending time with my family and friends is one of my biggest priorities!  This summer my friends and I went four-wheeling which was a total blast!  For those of you that don’t know me, I am a total freak when it comes to adventure and ATVs!  I love the rush and excitement.  I also got to go horseback riding and bungee jumping in Tennessee with my family and friends, which I absolutely loved!  It was so beautiful everywhere and I made sure I soaked in every moment.

As for my YouTube career, getting to work with Seventeen magazine on my #17before17 series was such an amazing Chelsea Crockett- #17before17experience!  I got to do so many things I never would’ve imagined and stepped out of my comfort zone.  Last but not least, giving back to God is what I live for.  I got to go on a mission trip to Kentucky which brought me closer to Christ.  I was able to bring joy to children who needed a little lift in their spirit.  It was moving!

God has blessed my family and I tremendously and I hope He continues to do great things in my life!  I challenge you to jot down your favorite summer memories and a few things you’re thankful for on a piece of paper.  It’ll be a reminder of how blessed of a summer you had!

Love,

Chelsea

Oh brothers and sisters…can’t live with them, can’t live without them.  They’re like a best friend you get to live with…and can’t get rid of.  If you’ve watched my YouTube videos, then I’m sure I’ve introduced you to Kylie and Chandler.  I can’t imagine my life without them!  When life gets tough and stressful or I have a bad day, they’re always the ones to cheer me up and make me laugh.  As much as we may fight or argue, I know that we’ll always make up and be there for each other.

Life can get busy and time may become scarce, but finding time to spend with your sibling(s) is very important!  Friends come and go, but a sibling is a lifelong friend. Chelsea Crockett- sibling tag Kylie They’ve known you longer than anyone!  If you’re reading this and think that you and your brother(s) or sister(s) aren’t close, then I challenge you to change that!  Go for an ice cream run or bring back old memories by watching a favorite movie or playing an old school board game.  Little acts like this can quickly bring two people closer.

Love your family and enjoy your time with them, because soon enough everyone will be grown up.  Make memories while you’re young with your siblings.  You’ll never regret the times you spent with them.

Love you all!

One of my favorite things to do in the spring is to have sleepovers with my best girlfriends.  Movies, painting nails, and sweet treats are all part of the fun, but have you ever wanted to switch up the typical sleepover?  On cool summer nights, having a campout in your backyard is so much fun!  I like to call it “glamping” (glamorous camping), because you get to campout, but still have the house with electricity and a bathroom!  I’ll give you all the tricks and tips to your perfect backyard campout.

Chelsea Crockett- backyard campout

First, find someone with a tent.  I typically have to ask my dad to set it up for me, but if you want to take on the challenge, go for it!  Invite all your friends over and make sure they bring their sleeping bags, pillows, and a flashlight.  Remember, you won’t have power!  Set up a radio or bring out your iHome to listen to fun music throughout the night.  Make up crazy dances or sing along under the stars.  If it gets hot, use an extension cord to bring a fan into the tent.  That should cool it down!  If possible, set up a fire!  It’s perfect for roasting s’mores, telling stories around the campfire, and enjoying the beautiful night.

Having a backyard campout with your friends is a great bonding experience.  Just enjoy your surroundings and most of all your friends.  If you don’t have a tent check these out!   http://tiny.cc/Tent

Have fun,

Chelsea

Hi Insiders,

Being a teenager can be tough.  Between school, hanging out with friends, sports, and work, there’s hardly any time to spend with your parents.  A quick “hi” and “bye” is the typical conversation these days.  As you all know, I really love my family.  If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now!  They’ve always been there for me and encouraged me to follow my dreams.  You may not always realize it, but your parents love you so much!  Here are a few ideas to show your parents you appreciate them as much as you do.Chelsea Crockett- family life

  • Always tell them you love them before you leave the house and before you go to sleep.  A simple “I love you” can go a long way.
  • Invite them to different school functions you’re attending.  Whether it be a football game or tennis match, it’ll show your parents that you enjoy being around them.
  • Talk to them!  Don’t be afraid to open up.  They are your support system.  This will create a stronger bond.
  • Write them a card.  Sometimes it’s hard to tell someone exactly how you feel face to face, so write out a nice letter to show your appreciation.  It doesn’t have to be a birthday or holiday for someone to receive a card!
  • Set aside at least  one night a week for a family dinner.  It’s a great way to sit down and spend time with your parents.

I encourage all of you to spend more time with your family.  They will always be there for you!  “Honor your father and mother.  Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12

Hot Spots to Focus on In the New Year

Hello Insiders,

Welcome to 2014!  I can’t believe how quickly time goes by.  Doesn’t it feel like just yesterday you were a little kid?  When looking back on life, I’m sure you can find a lot of things to be thankful for.  I know I can!  As you get older, it’s important to focus yourself on more important things, rather than material goals.  Focus on being a better you and making others happy!
Getting into the high school and college scene can be fun, but never forget about your family or spirituality.  This year, I challenge you to spend more time with your family and with God.  I know it can be hard to pay grandma a visit when you have a million things to do, but just think about the joy that it will bring to her!  Also, focus on becoming closer with God.  Buy a devotional, talk with others, or download some spiritual music on your iPod.  I promise, it’s not that hard!Chelsea Crockett- eating healthy

You always hear of the classic line, “I’m going to lose weight this year.”  STOP.  Instead of saying “losing weight” say, “I’m going to be healthy this year.”  As long as you exercise and eat healthy, then who cares if you are stick thin!  Focus on being a healthier you, not a skinnier you.

Come up with a list of things to challenge yourself with this year.  They don’t have to be resolutions, just small things to work on.  With a few simple tweaks in your lifestyle, you’ll discover a happier you.

Love,

            Chelsea

                Hi all!

It’s that time of year when we all decide to make changes for the new year.  Of course, exercising and eating better are always on many people’s lists.  This year, however, I would like to challenge you to think outside of the box and focus on goals to help yourself and others!  Here are a few ideas.Chelsea Crockett - New Years Resolutions                Happiness is good for your health and our happiness increases when we help others.  Volunteering is a great way to help others.  Find a local charity or animal shelter where you can give a hand or help to raise money for.  If you make volunteering a resolution, you will certainly be giving back to the community and that will help you to feel really good about yourself!
Another healthy resolution would be to stay in touch with old friends or family.  So often our lives get so busy that we fail to keep in touch with those who mean so much to us.  Just spending a little extra time with grandparents can mean the world to them and you.  You can learn so much from their wisdom and you’ll never regret the time you spent to bond with them.
Blessings to your New Year, Insiders!  Comment below and let me know what creative resolution you have made this year to think outside the box!

Hey everyone!  Because the weather is so nice during this season, it’s perfect for outside activities.  Water parks, camping, and swimming are all perfect things to do during a hot, sunny day in the summer.  One thing you may have not thought of is the drive-in.

If you have a drive-in near you, it’s a perfect summer way to see that new movie you’ve been wanting to see.  Whether it’s with your family or your best friends, it’s a fun way to see the film.  My favorite thing about the drive-in is bringing a bunch of snacks for you and your guests to enjoy!  Popcorn, candy, and soda are perfectWink.Chelsea Crockett - Drive-In

Maybe you can’t access a drive-in near you, but that’s okay!  There’s another creative way to spend your night!  If you take a projector and set it up facing a solid wall or possibly your garage you’ve made your own drive-in movie theater!  You can set out a few blankets or chairs and have a movie night right in your own yard!  Perfect!
