Fall weather is finally here which means cooler temperatures and stylish fall outfits.  Between tailgates and fun fall dinner dates, there are lots of occasions to rock all types of trendy skirts!  Right now, I’m obsessed with these two skirt styles!Chelsea Crockett - Fall Skirt

The first style is a jean skirt with frayed hems.  This style is simple but has a twist to it!  You can pair it with a cute belt, blouse, and booties to create the perfect fall look.  You can also pair it with a long cardigan or a tied sweater.  With denim, really anything goes!

The other skirt is a velvet or corduroy button up the front skirt like the picture on the right. They come in all different fall colors like maroon, green, gold, dark purple, etc. Again, these are stylish to pair with a cute top and booties and is the perfect look for a football game day! You can dress them up by adding a jacket or a scarf, too.

Which style do you like better?  Let me know in the comment section below which skirt style you like to rock during the fall!

DIY Game Day Shirts

Fall weather, tailgates, game day outfits… Football season is finally in full swing!  One of my favorite things about game days is all the different outfits that girls come up with. Recently, I’ve seen so many different DIY shirts that are super cute and so easy to make!  Here are two different DIY game day shirts!

  • Tube-Top T-Shirt. First, cut vertically along the side of the shirt so the sleeves are cut off.  After making these cuts, you should have just two rectangles of material.  Turn the rectangles inside out and sew them together along the vertical sides.  Put on the shirt and gather any excess fabric along the sides to make it tighter.  You’re then going to resew along the vertical lines to create your desired fit.  Sewing it together the first time will help you keep your rectangles aligned.  Then, finish your top by cutting off any excess material on the sides!Chelsea Crockett - DIY College Shirt
  • High-neck Tank Top T-Shirt.  This DIY is pretty easy.  Pick out a shirt that you don’t mind cutting up a bit.  Like the picture on the right, cut the bottom off of the shirt as high as you would like, possibly as a high-low shirt or a crop-top!  Then for the next part, I suggest drawing two lines before you cut the sleeves to make sure they’re even.  Then make the cuts and you’re good to go!  (P.S. Don’t clip the collar!)

Which style are you going to try and make?  If you have two shirts, you might as well try both! 🙂

One of my favorite things about high school was going all out for our Friday night football games.  Some of my best memories of my four years were made at our school’s stadium cheering on the team!  Chelsea Crockett - Game Day OutfitWith college, the football game days only get bigger and better, especially if you go to a big school.  Here is a little guide I put together if you need some help picking out an outfit for your next game day!

One of my favorite things that I’ve seen girls wear on game day is oversized jerseys.  I know some schools sell them in a dress style to pair with accessories and booties!  If your jersey isn’t long enough to style as a dress, rock it with a ripped pair of white jeans like the picture on the left.  You can also determine how casual you want to be by wearing wedged booties or a pair of sneakers!

Incorporating your team’s colors into your outfit is obviously a must.  Although some colleges dress up more than others, you can always accessorize using colored necklaces, hats, etc.  Since suede is big this fall, pairing an off-the-shoulder shirt with a button- up suede skirt is so cute!  Another piece of clothing you can pair your outfit with is a flannel in your school’s colors.  You can either substitute it for a jacket or tie it around your waste!

I hope you enjoy this year’s football season!
