People with wavy hair all understand the same struggle… either your hair is too curly or too flat, and there’s barely ever an in-between!  Most wavy-haired girls use spray products to give their waves a little extra lift.  I’ve read up on a few of the best products for making your waves extra wavy that are guaranteed to stay in all day!

  • Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. Chelsea Crockett - Wavy Hair This is one of the most popular sea salt sprays when it comes to creating the perfect beach waves.  You can spray it on clean, damp, or dry hair for texturized, tousled waves.  I prefer using it after a day at the pool or beach, especially if you need the perfect on-the-go hairstyle!
  • Moroccan Sea Salt Spray.  We’ve all heard of either Moroccan or Argan oil and know that both can make our hair soft and shiny.  This product is part of the Moroccan Surf Collection and leaves your hair feeling light and soft yet looking shiny and beautiful at the same time!
  • Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.  Although the other two sprays mentioned above can be found at a local drugstore, you’ll have to go to Sephora to give this one a try!  This is one of my favorite sprays because it works for all hair types, not just those already blessed with wavy hair.  It’s perfect for a day at the beach because it guards against the sun’s drying effect on your hair.  It’s truly the best of both worlds!

Which product do you use to keep your waves in?  Let me know below!

Argan oil is one of my favorite things to look for when buying skin and hair products.  It’s the perfect ingredient for making all parts of your body smooth, hydrated, and restored.  There are a few products that especially make good use of Argan oil that will guarantee to get the job done!

  • Herbal Essences Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner.  Chelsea Crockett - Argan Oil ShampooThis duo is what you need if your hair is feeling brittle or losing its shine.  You’ll be able to see and feel the difference after only a couple uses!
  • Pure Argan Oil.  Certain places will sell pure argan oil that can be used simply for the purposes of softening your hair.  This is a product that I feel the immediate difference of before and after I use it.
  • Argan Oil Hair Masks.  Like I keep mentioning, argan oil does wonders for your hair.  Invite some of your friends over for a spa night and give your hair a boost!
  • Healthy Sexy Hair Weightless Hairspray.  This hairspray not only works to keep your hair in place but nourishes and hydrates it, as well!
  • ORLY Argan Oil Cuticle Drops.  So, since we’ve marked skin and hair off the list, you can use argan oil to nourish and hydrate your nails, specifically your cuticles, as well.  Your nails will thank you, I promise!

Have you ever tried any of these products?  Let me know below what your take is of them!

Your hair is always begging for moisture, especially in the winter time when the air is cold and dry! Products you use to style your hair, such as hair spray and mousse, can dry your hair out even more. Want to know how you can make your very own hair spray that will actually hydrate and strengthen your hair as you use it…made with all natural ingredients? Who wouldn’t!

Ingredients:download

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3-4 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 2 cups distilled water

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave and add it to a spray bottle. Next add in the distilled water and essential oil. Shake it reaaally good. It works great on both damp and dry hair! Also, make sure to shake it before every use because the ingredients will naturally separate.

Now this hair spray doesn’t have as strong of a hold as store bought sprays, but it does a much better job of keeping the frizz away!

Although summer may be over, as much as I hate to say it, it doesn’t mean you can’t get those beautiful beach waves all year round!  Many beauty/hair brands have their own sea salt spray to guarantee beach waves at any time.  Unfortunately, many of these products can be pricey and may contain alcohol which can dry out your hair.  With a few simple ingredients, you can make your own inexpensive and effective sea salt beach wave spray!Chelsea Crockett- beach waves

What you’ll need:

  • Spray bottle
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 4-5 drops of coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons of coarse sea salt or Epson salt
  • 1 teaspoon of hair gel

Place all of the above ingredients into a spray bottle and shake until everything is dissolved.  To achieve perfect beach waves, spray it onto towel dried hair and scrunch with your hands.  Let summer live on forever with beautiful beach hair in no time!

XOXO,

Chelsea
