Have you ever been too lazy to do your hair, but still want it to look pretty?  Well, you’re in luck!  This summer it’s all about the laid back boho look and I’ve got the perfect hairstyle for you!  The twisted hairband hairstyle is perfect for an event or a lazy Sunday; and all you need is a skinny headband.  Check out my step by step to complete the look on your own.

  1. You can start by curling, straightening, or leaving your hair as is.  This is a messier hairstyle, so it’s okay to go all natural!
  2. Next, tease the top of your hair.  Once teased, slide an elastic skinny headband over your hair so that it sits on top of your hair.  Do not put this around your neck and then pull up onto your hair.
  3. Grab a small strand of hair from the front and wrap it around the headband.  Do this until there is no more hair to wrap.  Do the same for the otherChelsea Crockett- twisted hairband side.
  4. Next, grab another strand of hair, preferably from the middle of each side of your hair, to wrap around again.  Do this for the other side as well.
  5. Last, secure any fly-aways with bobby pins and you’re good to go!

I hope you enjoy this hairstyle as much as I did!

I personally love the “boho” style. It is so urban and chic! Today I am going to teach you how to create your own boho turban headband, which can be worn with any casual outfit to add a little edge to your updo! Here are the steps to achieve this look:130995f96628c612c8f4490d0cb1ff5b

 1. Pick out a floral or printed scarf. The scarf should be about 60 inches long or longer, because it has to fit all the way around your head while folded in half! Fold the scarf in half equally so that the ends touch.

2. Take one end of your folded scarf in each hand. Place the middle section of the scarf at the back of your head and bring the ends towards your forehead. Take one of the loose ends of your scarf and place it through the loop of the scarf that is in your other hand.

4. After you have pulled one of the loose ends through the loop, tie the loose ends together at the top of your head. Tie it tight enough where it won’t move, but loose enough to where it is not hurting you.

5. Tuck the loose ends that you just tied together so that they do not show.

Super easy, right? Now you can go out and look like a boho babe. This accessory can be worn with a simple updo, such as a messy but, or you can even pair it with a braid! Experiment and see what you like best!

XOXO,

Chels
