I like to stay up-to-date with the latest trends so I know what’re the next most fashionable and stylish things I should have in my closet!  This upcoming winter, there are a few different trends that I think stand out among the rest, and are so, so cute!  Here are a few trends you’ll need to take note of for the next few months! 🙂

  • Double Denim. Chelsea Crockett - Denim on Denim Denim is one of my favorite things to rock, whether it be a denim jacket, boyfriend jeans, a denim dress, etc.  It’s a timeless trend that has been around for decades, and now you can rock denim times two!  🙂
  • Knit.  When I think of knit, I think of bundling up in a knit sweater during the cold months!  This winter, knit sweaters, ponchos, cardigans, etc. are going to be the perfect way to keep warm and stay fashionable.
  • Business Casual.  Certain styles and trends allow you to loosen up and dress down which I love, but this winter, business casual looks are coming back into play!  Things like blazers, collared shirts, and toned down colors are making their statement this year.
  • Sportswear.  I love trends that allow me to dress comfy and casual, but still look just as stylish.  Sportswear, or street style, has been in the fashion world for a while, and it’s not going away anytime soon!  Pull out your leggings, sneakers, and a graphic tee, and you’re good to go!

Which trend is your favorite?  Have you heard of any other upcoming winter trends?  Share them with me below! 🙂

The leaves are done changing and the cold air is unfortunately setting in. Big sweaters and long sleeved shirts just aren’t going to cut it. As much as I love fall, I’m ready to dig out my winter coats! I wanted to share with you five of my favorite styles that are popular and trendy for the upcoming season!

  1. In my recent trip to New York, I tried out a knee-length coat to bear the cold weather in, and I’m absolutely obsessed!Chelsea Crockett - Coat This style of coat is extremely warm… and stylish! I also love the knee-length cardigans. I highly suggest them for not only warmth but so you can rock the hottest trend too :).
  2. Puffy coats have been around for decades, and are still sold almost anywhere. Once again, they’re extremely warm and cute to wear with a stylish pair of boots.
  3. For more on the style side of things, crop jackets are super fashionable for the season. The only downside to these is that they might not keep you as warm! You can always layer or add some warm accessories such as a scarf or earmuffs.
  4. A newer style that I’m starting to see in the fashion world is poncho coats. I’m in love! Despite the fact that they might not seem as warm as they look, they actually are! You can buy them at several stores such as Forever 21 and H&M.
  5. A vintage, timeless style that never seems to go out of style is pea coats. You can find them in any color you can think of. My favorite ones are neutral colors. Tan, black, white, or grey are usually what I shop for!

What’s your favorite type of coat? Let me know below :).

Just because you’re not in the military doesn’t mean you can’t rock their look!  Army green and camo have become some of the biggest fashion trends this year and are so easy to incorporate into any look for any occasion.  Check out some of my favorite ways to style army inspired clothing!Chelsea Crockett- dress with army jacket

Army green and camo skinnies are a style staple for any wardrobe.  When wearing these types of pants, keep your shirt a solid color.  You don’t want too much going on in your outfit.  It’s also important not to take the “army” look too far.  If you are wearing camo, stay away from combat boots.  Instead try flats or a tall boot.  This way your outfit won’t be taken too literal.

An army jacket is a great way to make a dress more casual.  Try throwing on an army jacket with a plain black or cream dress for the perfect fall outfit.  It even looks great with skirts and skinny jeans.  Tyr replacing your normal everyday jacket with an army inspired one.  They’re causal and versatile enough to match almost anything!

It’s always fun to try new trends and to change up your normal wardrobe with fresh and trendy inspirations!  Try incorporating the army trend into your wardrobe this fall!

Chels

Sadly enough, summer is coming to an end.  Although the hot temperatures may be cooling down, don’t pack up your sundresses and tanks just yet!  There are simple ways to transition your summer clothes into the fall season.  Keep on reading for some easy tricks and tips to get two more months out of your summer clothes!

Summer tanks are perfect for layering in the fall.  If you have a wide shouldered sweater, try wearing a thick strap tank under so that the straps show.  This way you won’t have a bare upper half (you’ll feel more comfortable) and will add a little something extra, whether it is color, print, or texture, to your sweater.  Tanks are also perfect to wear with an open flannel or denim button up.  Try wearing a tank with a pair of skinnies and throwing on an open button up.  Add some jewelry and a pair of flats or boots and you’re good to go!

Remember that sundress you thought you could only wear during the spring/summer months?  Well, think again!  Transition that summer dress to a fall dress byChelsea Crockett-Get Two More Months Out of Your Summer Clothes wearing a jean jacket, army jacket, or sweater and a pair of combat boots.  By adding a few extra layers of clothing, any dress can be worn in hot months and cool months.

Before packing up your warm weather clothes, be creative and give them an extra shot!  There’s always a way to continue wearing your favorite tank or dress!

XOXO,

Chelsea
