Thinking about cutting your hair? Well, spring is the perfect time to do it!  With warm weather on its way, why not take off a few inches to lighten your load? 🙂 Here are the best hairstyles for the upcoming season based on the length and texture of your hair!

  • For short hair, sharpness is everything this season.  Chelsea Crockett - Short BobThe picture on the right is the perfect example of a blunt, short bob that is a perfect go-to cut if you’re wanting a short style.  Although her hair is wavy in the picture, you can tell her ends are sharp and clean-cut.  This style looks good with wavy or straight hair, so almost anyone can rock it!
  • Ever heard of a lob?  For medium-length hair, try out a long bob!  Lobs are perfect for hair textures that aren’t the best with holding curls.  You don’t need pin straight hair or tight curls with this look.  Add in a little texture and let it do its job!  It works like magic.
  • For long hair, layer up!  Layered, textured ends are super low maintenance and easy to take care of.  You won’t have to spend hours in the morning making sure your ends look okay!  If you layer your ends, you won’t have to overapply heat to make sure your hair looks perfect.  Just let it fall!

If you’re thinking about getting a haircut, I hope this helped you figure out the look you want!

Every girl dreams of Jasmine-like locks. Although we can’t all have that long, thick, glossy mane Aladdin’s pretty princess has, we can fake it until we do! If you have short hair and cannot wait until your hair grows out, here are a few tips on how to make your hair look longer than it actually is…without using extensions!

  1. Say yes to scarves: Most of the time, just adding a simple scarf around your neck can make your hair appear longer. Plus, as an added bonus, the scarf is just plain cute!FullSizeRender (2)
  2. Simply straighten: This is especially true if you have curly hair. By straightening your hair you can diminish frizz and increase length!
  3. Long live the layers: When you go to get a haircut, add some layers throughout your hair. This accentuates the longer pieces of hair and makes them stand out.
  4. Half-it: By sectioning off your hair and pulling the top half back you can make your hair to appear to have more length. Plus it’s an all-around cute hairstyle!

Have no fear, short-haired heroines! You, too, can have long hair.

Are you thinking about chopping off 10 inches of your hair? Or maybe you just want to try something different. Switching up your look can be risky and sometimes not end up how you expected. If you can’t find the right hairstyle for you, you must be looking in the wrong magazines! Here’s some quick advice on which style will suit you best!

  • Shoulder length. For the girls who would rather be safe than sorry, this cut is for you. You can’t go wrong with a safe, shoulder length style that isn’t too short, but gives your hair enough change for people to stop and take notice!
  • Angled bob. If you want to take more of an edgy style, try out a short (or medium-length), angled bob. If you want to add even more to this hairstyle, you can get subtle, side bangs too! Just a few snips and clips and you’ll have your gorgeous, desired look!Chelsea Crockett - Emma Watson
  • Lots of layers. Layers aren’t just for those with long hair. Cutting your hair into a short, below-the-ear bob and adding lots of layers is edgy and stylish, yet cute and flirty! If you want, you can add some highlights to mix it up even more.
  • Pixie cut. If you’re all for change and really like to mix it up, why not go all out and get a pixie cut? If it suits your personality, why not? If you have an oval or heart shaped face, I would recommend this style. Rihanna, Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, and even Miley Cyrus have rocked it!

Which style do you like best? Do you prefer edgy and risky or cute and flirty? Gimme your thoughts below!

When I think of fall I imagine big sweaters, pumpkin lattes, bonfires, and of course, football games!  Dressing for a football game can be tough with the fall weather.  It can be hot while the sun is out, but get cooler as the night goes on.  Keep on reading as I break down my favorite outfit for football season!Chelsea Crockett- quilted vest

It’s important not to dress too light or too heavy.  Instead, try wearing layers that can be taken on or off depending on the weather.  During September and October, I prefer to wear skinny jeans and my school spirit tee!  If you’re wearing a long sleeve tee, try pairing it with a quilted vest to add a little extra style to your outfit.  If you’re wearing a tank or short sleeve shirt, bring along an oversized sweater or flannel to throw on over your shirt.  Investing in a black and white flannel will help take your fashion game to a new level.  Adding a flannel to a spirit shirt adds depth to your outfit, plus the black and white matches everything!

Once your outfit is complete, pick out a pair of sandals or boots (depending on the weather), add some accessories, you can even wear a chunky necklace to dress up your look, and head to the game!  No matter what age you are, football season is always a wonderful time of the year!

Imagine you’re in the moment, “I want bangs and lots of layers!”  Oops, bad mistake. Your hair already has a lot of layers and you have a small forehead already.  Now it’s just a mess!  The bangs are too short and you look like you have all different lengths of hair.  What do you do now?!  Don’t worry; I’ve got a few brilliant tips to save you from a bad haircut.

  • If you have too many layers, making your hair look really choppy, avoid the flat iron.  Try curling your ends, curling some more than others to make pieces Chelsea Crockett- bad hair cutshorter or longer.  This gives the illusion of blended hair.  Also, slipping on a headband will camouflage stubborn short layers.
  • Hate your new bangs?  No problem!  Lucky for you, there are so many cute half up, half down hairstyles to get those pesky bangs out of the way.  Try twisting your bangs and pinning them up or wearing a hair scarf as a head band.  If you like your bangs but wish they were longer, try blow drying them from above and brushing them straight down.  Once straightened, they will appear longer.
  • If your cut is uneven, avoid the flat iron at all time.  Try curling your hair or call your stylist.  They will usually fix that for free!

Don’t freak out if you hate your new hair!  There’s always another options!

Love,

Chelsea

Who said you can’t look cute going to the gym?  Well, if you’re used to wearing running shorts and a t-shirt, it’s time to step up your gym style!  Don’t worry about putting on makeup and doing your hair, go all natural; but when it comes to your gym clothing, try changing it up with a few of my chic gym wardrobe tips!Chelsea Crockett- gym clothes

  • Don’t be afraid to wear prints.  Go all out!  Try a fun pair of printed leggings and pair them with your favorite bright colored tank.   You’ll be a style stand out!
  • If you’re wearing leggings or a type of shorts that go further up, like to your belly button, try a crop top.  It’s okay to show off your toned stomach!  Work it!
  • Layer it up!  For colder days, wear a pair of leggings under your shorts and a form fitting jacket with your tank.  Even try wearing a vest for brisk days!
  • Neon, neon, neon!  Be bright this year in the gym.  Throw away those dull colored gym clothes and swap them for some hot pinks, bright oranges, and lemon yellows.  The brighter the better.
  • Who said matching is lame?  If you have a pair of awesome Nike tennis shoes, don’t be ashamed of matching your outfit to your shoes.  You go for it girl!

Next time you hit up the gym, you’ll be a sweaty fashionista!
