New York Fashion Week is the greatest week of the year!  Although I didn’t get to go, I still love looking at all the runway looks and trends.  This year, all of the designer’s showed off some of their most stylish collections ever!  Here’s a short recap of the week and how you can be up to date with this season’s hottest trends!Chelsea Crockett - NYFW Muted Orange Trend

  • Muted orange.  Obviously fall colors are always a huge “yes” during the season, but the orange shade above is a big one this fall!
  • Mismatch/patched jeans.  In a lot of the runway shows this year, designers featured jeans that had patches from other shades and materials of jeans.  It might sound odd, but they actually turned out super stylish and unique!
  • Formal Boho/festival wear.  The Boho style has been around for a while, but it’s usually more casual, festival wear.  This season, there’s more of an emphasize on formal Boho wear, such as flowy dresses, skirts, and blouses.
  • Sequins and ruffles.  You may be thinking… what?  I don’t mean huge ruffled dresses decked out in sparkly sequins.  What I do mean are simple, detailed looks with a little sparkle!

Which look or show was your favorite from NYFW?  Let me know below! 🙂

Love, Chels

New York Fashion Week F/W16 has come to an end.  The biggest models in the world and top fashion bloggers came together to celebrate all things fashion.  While some shows were full of glitter and glamour, others were just straight-up crazy!  From the world of Jeremy Scott to Oscar de la Renta gowns, this year’s fashion week was anything but ordinary.  While I did not attend, I kept up with all of the shows online!  Check out a few of my favorite moments!  Chelsea Crockett- fw16

Diane Von Furstenberg’s show was one of my favorites.  She nicked the traditional runway and opted for a disco of strong, powerful women.  DVF gathered the world’s top models including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Karlie Kloss and had them dressed in her always timeless pieces dancing around her studio.  DVF wanted to show that women in power can have fun too; and don’t worry, her fun, signature patterns were still included!

Marc Jacobs transformed a NY theatre into the Marc Jacobs F/W16 premiere!  The show was nothing short of amazing.  It included popcorn, ushers, and a movie screen showcasing Marc Jacobs signature trademark.  This was a transition for the brand with the dissolution of Marc by Marc Jacobs.  The brand was debuting their new look, while still keeping the Marc by Marc Jacobs prices.

These two shows were just a few of my favorites from this years Fall/Winter NYFW!  Maybe next year I’ll snag a ticket! 😉

It’s every fashion lover’s dream to attend the most sought after week in fashion, New York Fashion Week! Some of you may be wondering what NYFW is.  It’s a time where the most recognized and up and coming designers come together to showcase their designs.  This year brought out the crazy in some designers with wacky and creative clothes and displays!  Check out all that happened this year at NYFW!Chelsea Crockett- Miley Cyrus Jeremy Scott

When fashion week takes place in the fall, then that means they are showcasing designs for the spring/summer 2015 seasons. One of the biggest trends seen on the runway was floral! From Stella McCartney to Alberta Ferretti, floral prints were placed on some of the biggest designers clothing.  Dresses and pants were covered in pretty flower designs and paired with over-the-top accessories.  Another huge trend to hit the runway was fringe!  The fringe detail was added to the bottom of skirts and dress and even under the arms of jackets!

Miley Cyrus made a crazy appearance at the Jeremy Scott show by creating her own jewelry pieces for the models to wear out of beads and embellishments. Other celebs like Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss were seen strutting their stuff on the runways.

NYFW was a full week full of A-list celebrities and couture designs. Keep your eyes peeled next time you go shopping for some of these fabulous clothes!

XOXO,

Chelsea
