I think peace is something we all could use a little more of.  Whether you’re in a stressful season in your life, going through a tough break-up, or even just feeling anxious, praying for peace can make a world of a difference.  When I sit down to pray, it’s sometimes hard to find the right words to say.  If you have this problem at times too, here are 5 ways to pray for peace!

  1. Pray for trust.Chelsea Crockett - Peace  Trust is something I think we all struggle with at times.  Praying for trust will take away any anxiety or stress you may be having because you’ll start to truly believe that God has a plan for each of us.
  2. Pray for strength.  Having the strength to get through any situation will help you through all seasons of your life.  If you have the strength to get through one low of your life, you can get through them all!
  3. Pray to hear God’s voice.  God’s voice is real and present, and you will hear it if you listen.  Pray to hear what God is trying to tell you and you may find the direction that you’ve been searching for.
  4. Pray one day at a time.  Taking things one day at a time really does make a huge difference.  Start the day with a prayer to give you strength and trust for the day ahead!
  5. Pray for patience.  Patience is a virtue, and if you can learn to be still and patient, you will gain more peace than you could’ve imagined.

I hope this helps bring back some peace into your life.  God is good and He’ll listen to your prayers!

Love, Chels

Are you ever under so much stress that you feel like you just cannot take it? So you ever get anxious and get wrapped up in all of your worries? The one thing I do when I am under a ton of stress and feel the weight of the world on my shoulders is pray and read my Bible. Here are 7 verses to read when you are stressed.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Romans 8:18 “The pain that you’ve been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.” chelsea crockett praying

3. Psalm 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, pour your hearts out to Him, for God is our refuge.”

4. Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.”

5. Romans 8:28 “And we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

6. Psalm 118:6 “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

7. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”

Praying makes me feel so much better when I am stressed, and I know it can do the same for you!

Keeping a prayer journal can do wonders for your walk with God. How? Let me tell you!

Keeps your mind on task: I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I am praying my mind seems to wander off and get on another subject.  By writing your prayers down you are keeping your mind on task and it will keep you from daydreaming! Writing out prayers might take a little longer than thinking them, but at least the time is actually spent in prayer.

Allows you to keep track of your prayers: By keeping a journal, you can look back and see who you were praying for, what you were praying for, and how God has answered your prayers! I think it is so cool to look back on the prayers I said in the past and see how God has answered them.chelsea crockett prayer journal

Makes you closer to God: Communication is vital in any relationship, and it is even more important in your relationship to God. The more praying you do to him, the closer you will be. Lay all of your worries, burdens, and anything else that is heavy on your heart, on Him. God loves to listen to you!

Keeping a prayer journal will transform your walk with Christ!

P.S. If you get a really cute prayer journal, it will make you want to write in it even more! Just a little tip 🙂

Love ya,

XOXO, Chels
