I love taking pictures and updating my Instagram feed.  It’s something that I find fun and entertaining!  Every time I post a picture, I like to make sure it has the best edit and quality it can have.  So, if you’re like me, here are 5 picture editing hacks to ensure you the best Instagram worthy pics! 🙂

  • Play around with the exposure. When it comes to taking pictures, lighting is everything.  Adjust the exposure and brightness of your photo to make sure you can clearly see the quality of the picture!
  • Try out VSCO. VSCO is a pro editing app that has all your photo editing needs! There are tons of different filters that edit your picture in a variety of ways so you can pick your favorite one! You can change anything on your picture from brightness to color.Chelsea Crockett - VSCO
  • Sharpen it up. The sharpening tool should become your new best friend!  It can make a picture go from blurry to sharp at the click of a button. I use this tool on almost all of my pictures!
  • Enhance the highlights and shadows. Although you may be more unfamiliar with these effects, you can increase or decrease the highlights and shadows in your pic to your liking!  These can even help sharpen up your picture by eliminating too much highlight or too many shadows.
  • Turn up the saturation. If you want some more pop of color in your photo, turn up the saturation!  I love bringing out the bright colors and making the picture more fun!

It’s easy to throw on makeup and run out the door. We’ve all done it; but have you ever looked in the mirror afterwards and seen the damage you did?! I know I’m guilty! Before you begin your makeup process, priming your eye lid is SO important! Throughout the day, our shadow can start to bunch up in the creases of our eye lids. By priming your eyelid, your shadow will stay in place! Once that step is complete, it’s time to pick your shadow color. Less is more, people!!! During the day, stick to nude colors. Too many people over do their daytime eye makeup, which can look very off. Also, make sure to blend! You don’t want it to look like you put a line of color on your eye. Incorporate a little blending of the eye shadow with your upper eyeliner as well. When it comes to your water line, only apply liner to the outer corners. By putting a harsh line under your entire eye, you’re creating the illusion that your eye is smaller. No one wants that! Last, but not least, highlight! While this step might seem small, it plays a very big role! Dusting a beige or champagne highlighter in the inner corner of your eyes brightens your entire look, ties everything in, and makes your eyes whiter and bigger.

Next time you’re applying makeup, think about some of these mistakes! Are you committing a makeup crime?!

Hi Lovelies!

Wearing glasses is a normal everyday thing for a lot of us.  Unfortunately they cover up the prettiest part of your face…your eyes.  Making sure your makeup is on point is very important!  You don’t want your glasses to be the main focus.  Follow these simple tips to make sure you look as beautiful as ever while wearing your glasses.Chelsea Crockett- makeup with glasses

  • Wear liner that is a different color from your frames.  If the colors are the same, it’s more likely that your eyes will blend in with the glasses.  Make sure they stand out!
  • Avoid dark eye shadow.  Wearing light eye shadow will make your eyes pop behind the lenses.
  • Mascara on the bottom of your lashes is normally a good thing…except when you’re wearing glasses.  The dark frame around the bottom of your eye and the mascara on your bottom lashes can cause the look of dark circles under your eyes.
  • Thick glasses call for thick eyeliner, while thin glasses call for thin eyeliner!  Don’t mix the two up.
  • Be sure to curl your lashes!  Curling your lashes will open up your eyes, making them appear to be bigger.
  • Don’t forget about the rest of your skin!  Just because glasses focus more on your eyes, doesn’t mean you don’t need to put a little foundation on!

Have fun trying these simple tips text time you rock your glasses!

Love,

Chelsea
