Guys are hard people to shop for. They don’t always come out and say what they want, and when you do ask them if there is something they are wanting for Christmas, the answer is often “I don’t know.” Plus, it probably seems like they have everything they want or need already! So, I have done some investigating and have come up with a short list of gift ideas that are sure to give you at least a few ideas of what to get the dudes in your life.

  1. Cool dress socks: Among my guy friends, I have found that cool socks are all the rage. Socks with cool patterns or Star Wars characters on them are a hot item!
  2. Fashionable clothes: If I have learned anything in my years of buying for both my dad and other guys in my life, it is that they rarely buy clothes for themselves. They wear their favorites over and over again. If you have a certain style of clothes that you wish the guy in your life would wear, gift it to them! That way they don’t have to go out and shop and buy it for themselves, it is just right there for them.
  3. Sweet shades: A cool pair of sunglasses is always a safe bet! Especially if you really dislike the shades he usually wears. 😉
  4. Phone gear: I saw something super cool the other day that I thought would be an awesome gift for a guy, and that is an iPhone projector! It is a case for your iPhone that literally turns into a projector! You could also get him a nice phone case, or a case that will charge his phone.pocketprojectorcase-386-261806

Hopefully this list will help you in your search for the perfect gift for the guys in your life, whether it be your dad or your boyfriend.

Everyone knows that a facial mask every once in while is great for your skin! It’s an easy way to deep clean, minimize pores, and get rid of dry skin! Our feet, like our face, need the same kind of treatment! Unlike our facial skin, our feet get the rough end of the deal. Between walking barefoot, exercising, and wearing heels, it’s no wonder our feet can start looking a little under the weather. It’s time for a quick pick-me-up with foot masks!Chelsea Crockett- foot mask

You’re probably wondering what a foot mask is. Here’s how it works: first you slip on a pair of plastic socks (pretty funny looking). Next, you pour a liquid solution into each “sock” making sure all dry patches are fully submerged! Then, tie off each “sock” and let your feet soak for a little. As time goes on the solution will begin to get under the dry skin. Once you’ve let your feet soak for a decent about of time (10-15min), rinse your feet off under warm water and watch the magic happen! Your skin will begin shedding right in front of your eyes. Yes, it sounds gross, but the results are baby-soft skin!

There are multiple brands that make these masks, so look up one that sounds appealing to you and try it out! Comment below how you keep your feet soft and smooth, especially in the summer!

Make Your Feet Happy in Heels

Buying a new pair of heels is always exciting… shoes are a girl’s best friend (or is that diamonds?).  Walking in your heels for the first time is always grueling.  You can pretty much expect blisters and a sore arch.  So what do you do when you know you have to wear your new heels for a long period of time, but haven’t broken them in yet?  Check out the steps below.Chelsea Crockett- blow dry heels

  1. Slide into a pair of thick or fuzzy socks and grab a blow dryer. Try on your heels with the socks and blow dry them on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Wiggle your toes around to stretch the tip of the heel. This will allow your toes to have more room!
  2. Another way to utilize socks is to throw on a damp pair and walk around with them on in your heels. This will soften and stretch out tight heels. Walk around for a good 20 minutes.
  3. Be sure to scuff up the bottom of your heels before leaving the house! This way, you’ll have a better grip when walking and are less likely to fall.

If you follow these simple steps, you’ll be on your way to looking fabulously pain free!

XOXO,

Chelsea

Today I am going to walk you through one of my favorite fashion trend DIYs. The fashion trend is boot socks! These are the socks that stick out of the top of your boots. They are super stylish and help keep your legs warm! Today I am going to show you how to make some of your very own! Here is an example of what they look like when they are finished:

The first step to making these boot socks is to go through your dad’s sock drawer and find a pair he does not want anymore. Pick a neutral color that you know you can wear with a lot of things.

Here is the pair I chose:

Next: You have to cut the toes off! You can choose to cut anywhere on the sock you want. If you prefer your socks to be bunchy, then don’t cut off very much. If you want your socks to be

barely visible or not be shown as much, then just cut right above the heel of the sock.

After that: You are done! That was totally easy, right? I love this trend because it adds detail to your outfit and spices up your boots a bit too! They even keep your legs nice and toasty. Bonus! Here are some pictures of what your socks should look like and an example on how to wear them! Enjoy!

Hello Lovelies,

Christmas break is one of the most popular times for vacation.  While many families try to beat the winter cold by hitting the beach, other families enjoy snow skiing or may be visiting families up north.  So how do you pack for a cold winter vacation?  Check out my perfect packing guide.

Packing for a winter vacation can be tough.  Fitting your boots, cold weather outerwear, and clothes in one suitcase can be tricky.  So how can you narrow it down?  Pack the basics!  Black, brown, grey, and white are the first colors you should pack.  One pair of black and brown boots will last you the entire vacation.  They can be worn with any outfit!  When packing coats, think warmth and style.  Bring along you’re warmest coat and your favorite stylish coat, like a pea coat, for nights out.  You never know how cold it’s going to be!  Also, don’t forget your gloves and leg warmers!  A super cute trend this winter is legChelsea Crockett- socks and boots warmers or tall socks sticking out of the top of your boots.  Not only does it add an extra element to your outfit, but it’ll keep your legs warmer.

If you are going on a vacation this Christmas break, have a fabulous time!  Have fun packing!

Love,

            Chelsea
