Starbucks is almost every girl’s go-to happy place.  Whether you’re a coffee drinker or just like a good atmosphere to work on homework, most of us can find ourselves going to Starbucks on a regular basis!  If you’ve heard of the Starbucks secret menu, then you know their drinks can get even better than what’s offered on the actual menu.  Here are some new, fun additions you should know about!

  • Strawberry Acai Refresher with Coconut Milk. Chelsea Crockett - Starbucks Drink These are so yummy and they make for a great Instagram, too!  They taste kind of like a smoothie and are perfect for a warm day outside.  Starbucks even adds some strawberries to your drink!
  • Dragon Frappuccino.  Similar to the new Unicorn Frappuccino, this drink is said to be created through a mixture of a green tea Frappuccino, vanilla bean powder, and a berry swirl.  It looks and tastes great!
  • Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher with Soy Milk.  This is along the same lines as the first drink I mentioned, but it’s purple instead like the picture on the right.  It’s refreshing and delicious!
  • Butter Beer Frappuccino.  If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’re probably thinking, “WHAAAT!?”  This actually exists!  All you have to ask for is a Crème Frappuccino with three pumps of caramel syrup, three pumps of toffee nut syrup, and some caramel drizzle on top to finish it off.

Do you know any secret drinks I’m missing out on?  Let me know and I’ll try them out for myself!

Are you craving cheesecake but don’t have the time to go through the whole process of going to the store, finding all of the ingredients, putting them all together, baking them, and then finally getting to enjoy it? Well you are in luck, because I have a simple, easy recipe for delicious raspberry cheesecake balls that don’t require any baking and you probably already have the ingredients in your fridge! Curious? Read on!

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fresh raspberries, washed and dried
  • 2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Cups cool whip
  • ⅓ Cup sugar
  • 1 sleeve graham crackers

Place the cream cheese and sugar in a bowl and whip with a hand mixer. Add the raspberry in and stir to combine. You want the raspberries to break up and mix with the cream cheese. Add in the cool whip and stir in with a spoon until they are just combined. Place in freezer for 2 hours. Crumble up your graham crackers however you see fit and place them in a bowl. With a spoon portion out dollops of the cream cheese mix one at a time into the bowl of graham cracker crumbs. Roll the cheesecake ball around in the crumbs using a spoon and place on a sheet tray lined with wax paper. After you’re done rolling the balls place the trays in the freezer for a couple hours until they get frozen. Put them in a Ziploc and take on out when you need a nice sweet treat to nibble on.

How easy was that?!

Food inspiration can come from a multitude of different things… and since it’s spring, fresh fruits will be sprouting up left and right. It’s time to think about some healthy spring snacks and treats. Where I live, strawberries will be ripe for picking in about one month.  Whether you get to go and pick them or buy them at your local market, strawberries are a delicious treat!  They are low in calories and fats but rich in nutrients, minerals, and vitamins.  Strawberries are an excellent source of Vitamin C which is a powerful natural antioxidant.Chelsea Crockett - Chocolate Strawberry Truffle Cake

Therefore, let’s talk about some awesome snacks made with this yummy fruit!  A mom of one of my friends makes a delicious truffle filled with layers of chocolate cake, chocolate pudding/whip cream mixture, and sliced strawberries.  It’s to die for!  Sometimes she just buys a store bought cake and crumbles it up to form the layers.  It’s one of my favorites!

Another snack that I love with strawberries may sound a bit weird… but don’t judge me until you’ve tried it :)! You take fresh strawberries and dip them in a little sour cream and then brown sugar… it’s divine!  It sounds gross at first but the combination of those ingredients is absolutely delicious.  You should give it a try!

Share your favorite treats with me in the comments below. I’d love to hear some of your favorite berry recipes for spring!
