I know for a fact that jeans will never go out of style.  They’re timeless and can be worn for almost any occasion.  The best part about jeans is that you can match them with pretty much anything!  There are three trendy jean styles that are making their way into the fashion world this fall that you should try rocking yourself!

  • Tasseled Ends.  Chelsea Crockett - Embroidered JeansI saw a pair of these when I was out shopping and I fell in love!  They usually cut off at the capri length and finish off with tasseled threads.  They’re so cute and perfect for a casual day out with friends!
  • Mom Jeans.  The 90s are back in action ladies!  Mom jeans are usually high waisted and can be rolled at the bottom to complete the look.  You can pair these with a retro top to really rock the 90s style!
  • Slit Hems.  If you want a pair of simple jeans that have a little twist to them, buy a pair of these!  They look like normal jeans until about halfway down your calf where the hems on the side split.  They’re super cute and allow you to switch it up!  (Look at the above picture for example!)
  • Embroidered Denim.  I love embroidered shirts and pants.  They’re both vintage and fashionable.  You can find jeans with embroidered flowers and other designs at certain boutiques or online!

Which look is your favorite?  Let me know below!  I think mine are the tasseled ends, how fun are those?!

I always love when I find a piece of clothing that I can style in different ways with different outfits.  A simple, thin-strapped dress can go a long way when it comes to getting the most out of your purchase!  Here are different ways you can layer your dress for three different styles!

  • Over a simple tee.  Chelsea Crockett - DressLike the picture on the left, you can create the perfect street style look by pairing a simple tee with your simple dress.  Sometimes simplicity creates the most stylish looks!  Try mixing and matching with different colors, patterns, and accessories.
  • Under an oversized sweater.  Take your favorite oversized sweater and throw it on over your dress.  If it’s too long, try tying a knot at the front of your sweater to show off more of your dress.  This look is super comfy and perfect for the upcoming fall weather!
  • Under a jean/bomber jacket.  This look too is great for chilly weather!  You can pair your dress with a retro jean jacket or a floral bomber jacket, or even a leather jacket if you’re feeling extra edgy!  This is the perfect way to dress up your look.  Compliment your outfit with some wedges and a stylish purse!

Which style do you rock most often?  I think all of them are so cute! 🙂

People with wavy hair all understand the same struggle… either your hair is too curly or too flat, and there’s barely ever an in-between!  Most wavy-haired girls use spray products to give their waves a little extra lift.  I’ve read up on a few of the best products for making your waves extra wavy that are guaranteed to stay in all day!

  • Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. Chelsea Crockett - Wavy Hair This is one of the most popular sea salt sprays when it comes to creating the perfect beach waves.  You can spray it on clean, damp, or dry hair for texturized, tousled waves.  I prefer using it after a day at the pool or beach, especially if you need the perfect on-the-go hairstyle!
  • Moroccan Sea Salt Spray.  We’ve all heard of either Moroccan or Argan oil and know that both can make our hair soft and shiny.  This product is part of the Moroccan Surf Collection and leaves your hair feeling light and soft yet looking shiny and beautiful at the same time!
  • Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.  Although the other two sprays mentioned above can be found at a local drugstore, you’ll have to go to Sephora to give this one a try!  This is one of my favorite sprays because it works for all hair types, not just those already blessed with wavy hair.  It’s perfect for a day at the beach because it guards against the sun’s drying effect on your hair.  It’s truly the best of both worlds!

Which product do you use to keep your waves in?  Let me know below!

Trend Alert: Overalls!

Overalls are a trend that have been considered “out” for a long time!  But recently, they’ve made a huge comeback anywhere from Forever21 to Express to Nordstrom.  You may be picturing the typical long, jean overalls but there are actually many different styles and colors that are much more popular!

Chelsea Crockett - OverallsFirst, you’ll need to decide if you want long or short overalls.  There’s also the option of getting overalls with a skirt if you want to get a nicer pair!  Some pairs will have the typical pockets on the front and back of the overalls but others, like the one on the left, will have a sleeker look without pockets that you can dress up.

After you decide the style you want, you’ll have to pick a color.  I’m sure there are all different colors to choose from, but some colors I’ve seen a lot more than others.  Jean is obviously the most popular and the color you’ll see most in stores!  It matches with everything and can be a casual look for a day out with friends!  As for other colors, other popular ones include black, white, light pink, or army green.  Get one of these colors to mix it up!

Are you going to get a pair?  Let me know below which style is your favorite!

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards were just the other day and you know what that means: a red carpet full of all the hottest trends and styles of the season!  Celebrities such as Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, and the members of Fifth Harmony all rocked the red carpet this year.  Here are a few noticeable trends that are some of the hottest looks this season!

  • Metallic.  Metallic is a trend that comes and goes in waves.  Chelsea Crockett - Demi LovatoWell the wave is in, and metallic is back in full swing!  The picture on the right shows singer Demi Lovato rocking a metallic dress, jacket, and shoes on the red carpet.
  • Jumpsuits.  Jumpsuits are super comfy and can be dressed up depending on the style of them.  Most of the jumpsuits on the red carpet were dressed up for the event, but you can find one that’s much more casual but just as stylish!
  • Neutral colors.  There wasn’t a lot of color to be seen on the carpet this year.  There were some pastels or dark tones here and there, but black, white, and other neutral colors made up the majority of the celebs’ looks!
  • Anything but dresses.  Wait, what?  I thought award shows called for the prettiest gowns and dresses?  Usually that’s the case, but this year most celebs rocked jumpsuits, rompers, or pants and a stylish shirt.

Which trend is your favorite?  Let me know below! 🙂

Thinking about cutting your hair? Well, spring is the perfect time to do it!  With warm weather on its way, why not take off a few inches to lighten your load? 🙂 Here are the best hairstyles for the upcoming season based on the length and texture of your hair!

  • For short hair, sharpness is everything this season.  Chelsea Crockett - Short BobThe picture on the right is the perfect example of a blunt, short bob that is a perfect go-to cut if you’re wanting a short style.  Although her hair is wavy in the picture, you can tell her ends are sharp and clean-cut.  This style looks good with wavy or straight hair, so almost anyone can rock it!
  • Ever heard of a lob?  For medium-length hair, try out a long bob!  Lobs are perfect for hair textures that aren’t the best with holding curls.  You don’t need pin straight hair or tight curls with this look.  Add in a little texture and let it do its job!  It works like magic.
  • For long hair, layer up!  Layered, textured ends are super low maintenance and easy to take care of.  You won’t have to spend hours in the morning making sure your ends look okay!  If you layer your ends, you won’t have to overapply heat to make sure your hair looks perfect.  Just let it fall!

If you’re thinking about getting a haircut, I hope this helped you figure out the look you want!

Middle parts can be tricky. You may be nervous to break away from the side part you’ve been comfortable with all your life! Middle parts represent a high fashion look that can be worn for more formal occasions, curled or straight, or for your everyday look if that’s what you prefer. Once you’re ready to give it a try, follow these simple steps!Chelsea Crockett - Taylor Hill Middle Part

  1. Get your hair used to it. It takes a while to train your hair to stay a certain way. If you’ve parted your hair on the side your whole life, it’ll take a few times to make it look natural. Definitely start by parting it the way you want it after you shower or when it’s wet.
  2. Use the right tools. By blow drying your hair after you shower, it’ll help force it to stay.
  3. Frame your face. By using a straightener, you can frame your hair around your face, whether you want it curled or straightened. This will help make it look more natural and styled!
  4. Find a style that fits your cut. Depending on the length and cut of your hair, you’ll have to find a style that looks best on you. Like the picture on the right, she used her layers to her advantage and loosely curled each piece.

Training your hair to a new style is the hardest but most important step of rocking a middle part. Once you achieve that, then you’re ready to tackle the next step!

Good luck! – Chels

3 Swimsuit Styles for Summer 2016

Everywhere I turn, swimsuits are being advertised in every store, magazine, and website! That officially means goodbye to winter and hello to warm weather! There are tons of different styles to choose from, but there are three that are at the top of the charts for summer 2016!

High neck swimsuits are super stylish and comfortable! When I first saw this type of suit, I was worried about tan lines and how it would look after a long day in the sun. Instead, I bought one for nightChelsea Crockett - Triangl swims, waterparks, or hot tub nights! They’re more secure and comfortable then a normal bikini which is perfect for a day on waterslides.

I’ve recently been seeing a lot of different fabrics of swimsuits, and they’re so cute! Some stores have been selling crocheted bikini tops or wetsuit material sets. They’re different than the basic bikini! The brand Triangl is known for their unique material used in making their swimsuits (like the ones on the left!). They resemble a wetsuit so they’re stretchy and flexible!

I love wearing one-pieces. A lot of the time, they’re my go-to swimwear! They’re easy, comfy, and give off a modest look. A lot of one-pieces have a fun twist to them, maybe it’s a unique pattern, cutouts, or the type of material. All you have to do is look for one that’s your style! Once I found some that worked for me, I fell in love with one-pieces!

Of course you have the bikinis, the simple one pieces, the bandeau tops, the list goes on and on. It seems in the past year, so many new styles have suddenly made their way into the fashion world. They’re super fun and unique (despite their sometimes nasty tan lines!). Here are some styles that are a must-have in your wardrobe!Chelsea Crockett - High Neck Swimsuit

We’ve all seen the high-neck shirts and dresses that are to die for. Well now they have high-neck bikini tops! Stores like Forever 21, Pacsun, and Victoria’s Secret have all started to carry them. Although I wouldn’t recommend wearing them for tanning or being out in the sun all day, they’re still very different and fun to play around with!

It seems as though high waisted shorts are still pretty popular. And to follow those, there are now high waisted swimsuit bottoms as well! Once again I wouldn’t recommend them for tanning, but for a pool party or a day at the water park why not? You could buy a plain colored pair and match it with multiple tops! Whatever your style is.

In my opinion, one piece swimsuits are extremely overrated. There are tons and tons of unique styles and patterns that you can rock! Plus, modest is hottest :). Let me know what style you like the best!

For homecoming, us girls don’t only need a stunning dress and a fancy pair of heels, but a gorgeous hairstyle, as well! For prom, I usually like to go to a salon and have my hair fixed, but for homecoming, I like to try new ideas that I can style myself.  So… I decided to put together a few of my favorite looks.Chelsea Crockett - Loose Curls

If you have long hair, you might want to try some beachy waves with a wand! Take half of your hair in the front and pin it back with bobby pins. Be sure to tease the upper portion of the back of your hair. Make sure your waves are messy yet dressy like the style on the right!

Another look for medium to long hair is a lower messy bun.  You can leave some pieces out to frame around your face.  Tease the back of your hair slightly and wrap the hair into a messy bun.  I love to google images of messy buns and then reenact them on my own hair.  You can also find tutorials all over the internet to help you get just the right look!

For those of you with super short hair, headbands are really in and fun to add to your look. They can be casual or elegant.  Be sure to shop for a headband that matches your dress. They’re stylish and let you do something fun with your hair!

Whatever your look is, enjoy your evening!  High school goes by so quickly….make the most of it!

            Hey girls!

In a few of my videos, I’ve mentioned some Bed Head hair products that I like to use and that work well with my hair.  I love this brand because not only does it have normal products to use on a daily basis, but products for ALL types of hair!  Here’s a little insight on the variety of products they have to offer!Chelsea Crockett - TIGI BedHead

I know, as a teenager, that hair never goes the way we want it to.  Straightening or curling is sometimes a must in the mornings, which often leads to damaged hair.  TIGI offers six awesome products that help repair broken and damaged hair.  They sell Re-Energize, Recovery, or Resurrection Shampoo & Conditioner.  Each pair will help with those annoying split ends and other damaged locks.

For those of you who love to dye your hair, they carry color-sensitive products, as well.  Dying your hair often can cause damage to your hair, but TIGI offers products that are infused with certain ingredients that replenish those dehydrated strands!

That’s not all the Bed Head series has to offer!  They have dozens of other styling products that help control frizz and give a boost of shine to your hair!  In addition to that, they sell curl enhancers, hairsprays, texturizing and volumizing products, etc.

Check out their products here:http://tiny.cc/BedHead_TIGI, and tell me what you think!

Chelsea Crockett - Tank TopHey girlies!  Rocking your own style is one of the best things about fashion.  You can mix and match until you find a perfect look that fits you.  One of my favorite things I’ve discovered is how to use an ordinary piece of clothing and make it your own.  The easiest way to do so is with an everyday tank top or t-shirt.

A new trend I see almost every where is high waisted shorts.  Tucking your tank into these is super casual, cute, and quick!  If you have a looser shirt and don’t think it will look good tucked in, leave it out and gather it together in the front.  After that, make a small tie on either the right or left side of your shirt.  This still shows off your shorts and gives your look a more creative feel.  Another way to wear your tank is simply letting it hang straight down.  If you’re just lounging around or watching a movie with friends, this keeps it comfy and casual.  You also don’t have to worry about constantly keeping it tucked in.  These three styles are easy to do and will look great wherever you are this summer!

Love, Chels

Hello insiders!  One of the season’s hottest trends that I absolutely love is cutout dresses.  They’re super fashionable and can be found at almost any of my favorite stores.  One of the cool things about them is that you can find different cutout shapes such as a hearts or triangles, whatever you prefer!

Chelsea Crockett - Heart Cutout DressA great online store for cutout dresses is Sabo Skirt.  They have a ton of different designs, patterns, and colors!  My favorite is the “Heart Back Dress” which comes in white, black, blue, and pink!  Even though the dress is only one color, you can add a pop of neon with your shoes or handbag.

Another place to find the best dresses is, of course, Forever 21.  Forever 21 has chic choices of the prettiest dresses at a great price.  All dresses range from only around $20 to $30 which is a great deal for how good the qualities of the dresses are!

Although the selection is a little smaller, Love Culture and Charlotte Russe also carry cute, simple cutout dresses that are just as fashionable.  Just like Forever 21, their prices are just as good and the quality is great as well.

Windsor clothing store also offers cutout dresses with a more formal look.  So if you want to wear a cutout dress for a fall dance, Windsor offers timeless but trendy looks.  You can pair it with ballet flats or heels depending on your event!

Hey girls!  We all know how much I love trying out new hairstyles and what’s a better time than summer?  Whether you wear it up or down, there’s always a cute and stylish way to show off those beautiful locks!

One of the first looks I go to is the messy or high bun.  They’re easy to throw up and work with any outfit.  One of the best things about a bun is that it’s okay for them to look messyWink.  Just throw it up and wear it how you want!

Another one of my on-the-go styles is a side braid.  Along with being super easy, you can make it your own by doing the many different styles there are.  Fishtailing and French braiding are just a couple ideas on how to make your braid fun and unique!

Chelsea Crockett - Beach WavesLast but definitely not least, are beach waves.  I absolutely love this look because it gives off the summer feel and adds the beachy look to your sun kissed tan.  At almost any beauty salon you can find a spray to help give you that ocean air vibe.

These are just a few summer styles for you to try out this season! Hope this helps!
