I like to stay up-to-date with the latest trends so I know what’re the next most fashionable and stylish things I should have in my closet!  This upcoming winter, there are a few different trends that I think stand out among the rest, and are so, so cute!  Here are a few trends you’ll need to take note of for the next few months! 🙂

  • Double Denim. Chelsea Crockett - Denim on Denim Denim is one of my favorite things to rock, whether it be a denim jacket, boyfriend jeans, a denim dress, etc.  It’s a timeless trend that has been around for decades, and now you can rock denim times two!  🙂
  • Knit.  When I think of knit, I think of bundling up in a knit sweater during the cold months!  This winter, knit sweaters, ponchos, cardigans, etc. are going to be the perfect way to keep warm and stay fashionable.
  • Business Casual.  Certain styles and trends allow you to loosen up and dress down which I love, but this winter, business casual looks are coming back into play!  Things like blazers, collared shirts, and toned down colors are making their statement this year.
  • Sportswear.  I love trends that allow me to dress comfy and casual, but still look just as stylish.  Sportswear, or street style, has been in the fashion world for a while, and it’s not going away anytime soon!  Pull out your leggings, sneakers, and a graphic tee, and you’re good to go!

Which trend is your favorite?  Have you heard of any other upcoming winter trends?  Share them with me below! 🙂

During the colder months, you’ll most likely find me wearing leggings every day of the week.  They’re so comfortable and can be dressed up or dressed down for almost any occasion.  Although they’re more known for lounging around in, you can pair them with different articles of clothing to dress up your outfits and be just as comfy! 🙂

  • Oversized Sweater and Boots.  Chelsea Crockett - Leggings and a SweaterI’m sure you could already guess that oversized sweaters are going to be back in full swing this fall!  Rock a simple pair of black leggings and a pair of your favorite boots with a big sweater.  This is one of the comfiest outfits ever and it still looks like you put yourself together!
  • Graphic Tee and Sneakers.  I’m a huge fan of the street style look, and this outfit represents it perfectly.  Old rock tees or athletic brand tees with a pair of leggings and Adidas sneakers can still be dressed up or down depending on the occasion!  It’s such a cute and edgy look.
  • Long Poncho.  There was a time when ponchos went out of style, but now they’re back in action, especially with the cold months quickly approaching!  These can definitely be dressed up with a pair of heeled booties and the right accessories.  How cute is that?

Which style are you going to try out?  They’re all so comfy yet fashionable! 🙂

Fall festivities are some of the best of the entire year!  Apart from breaking out my boots and sweaters, I’m getting ready for all the bonfires and haunted houses I plan to attend!  There are so many different ways to spend your fall, so I put together a fun bucket list for you and your friends to get the most out of this season!

  • Go on a hike.  Fall is the best time of the year to go on a hike.  It’s the perfect weather to be outside.  You also get to see all of the leaves changing colors! (Plus, being active never hurts!)
  • Halloween time is the best time for a scary movie night with your BFFs! Chelsea Crockett - Halloween Treat  If you’re not into scary movies, you can always watch some classic Halloween movies such as Hocus Pocus or Halloween Town!
  • Bake, bake, bake!  There are so many festive treats to make like the picture on the right that’ll make your mouth water.
  • Carve a pumpkin (and eat the pumpkin seeds!).  Whenever my family carves pumpkins, we always salt and bake the seeds at the end.  Not only do you get a jack-o-lantern out of it but a yummy snack, too!
  • Go to a haunted house or trail.  You can’t have Halloween without a little scare!
  • Make s’mores.  If you have a bonfire, s’mores along with apple cider are a necessity!  Fun fact: even if you don’t have a bonfire, there are ways to make them using your microwave!
  • Have a fall photoshoot.  It’s so fun to dress up in sweaters and boots and take fun pictures outside with your friends!  At least it makes for a good Instagram post, right?

What else do you have on your fall bucket list? If you haven’t made one, I urge you to make the best of this season!

When I think of fall I imagine big sweaters, pumpkin lattes, bonfires, and of course, football games!  Dressing for a football game can be tough with the fall weather.  It can be hot while the sun is out, but get cooler as the night goes on.  Keep on reading as I break down my favorite outfit for football season!Chelsea Crockett- quilted vest

It’s important not to dress too light or too heavy.  Instead, try wearing layers that can be taken on or off depending on the weather.  During September and October, I prefer to wear skinny jeans and my school spirit tee!  If you’re wearing a long sleeve tee, try pairing it with a quilted vest to add a little extra style to your outfit.  If you’re wearing a tank or short sleeve shirt, bring along an oversized sweater or flannel to throw on over your shirt.  Investing in a black and white flannel will help take your fashion game to a new level.  Adding a flannel to a spirit shirt adds depth to your outfit, plus the black and white matches everything!

Once your outfit is complete, pick out a pair of sandals or boots (depending on the weather), add some accessories, you can even wear a chunky necklace to dress up your look, and head to the game!  No matter what age you are, football season is always a wonderful time of the year!

XOXO,

Chelsea

As we all know, layering is a must in autumn and winter. Why not have fun with it? I love the look of collars. They add a preppy flare to any ensemble. There are so many kinds of collars, too! Here are a few outfits that combine collars with other cute fall fashion staples.collars

  1. With a simple blazer: I love this cool, classy look. Pair a simple white button up collared shirt with a simple blazer, such as a navy or grey blazer. Button the shirt all the way up to the top so that all of the buttons are buttoned and the collar is displayed. Add in a long simple necklace, skinnies and booties!
  2. With a cable knit sweater: This is the perfect preppy look. Layer a cable knit sweater over a white collared shirt for an easy, classy look! Add in a pair of riding boots and wayfarer sunglasses and you will be the most preppy lady on the block!
  3. Dressy: I love sequins. Anything that sparkles is totally my fav. That is why I love this sequin collar trend! You can dress it down and wear it to school with a pair of skinnies and flats, or you can dress it up with a blazer and wedges! Love love!

How will YOU be wearing collars and keeping it preppy this fall? Comment below and let me know!

Sadly enough, summer is coming to an end.  Although the hot temperatures may be cooling down, don’t pack up your sundresses and tanks just yet!  There are simple ways to transition your summer clothes into the fall season.  Keep on reading for some easy tricks and tips to get two more months out of your summer clothes!

Summer tanks are perfect for layering in the fall.  If you have a wide shouldered sweater, try wearing a thick strap tank under so that the straps show.  This way you won’t have a bare upper half (you’ll feel more comfortable) and will add a little something extra, whether it is color, print, or texture, to your sweater.  Tanks are also perfect to wear with an open flannel or denim button up.  Try wearing a tank with a pair of skinnies and throwing on an open button up.  Add some jewelry and a pair of flats or boots and you’re good to go!

Remember that sundress you thought you could only wear during the spring/summer months?  Well, think again!  Transition that summer dress to a fall dress byChelsea Crockett-Get Two More Months Out of Your Summer Clothes wearing a jean jacket, army jacket, or sweater and a pair of combat boots.  By adding a few extra layers of clothing, any dress can be worn in hot months and cool months.

Before packing up your warm weather clothes, be creative and give them an extra shot!  There’s always a way to continue wearing your favorite tank or dress!

XOXO,

Chelsea

Hey insiders!

It’s finally bonfire weather, which means big sweaters, s’mores, and memories made with your closest friends.  The weather’s just a little chilly, allowing you to bundle up by the fire and enjoy some apple cider.  Whether you’re going to a bonfire or hosting one, you’re going to need an outfit that’s going to be on fire (not literallyWink).

If the bonfire bash you’re attending is just a small get-together with friends, putting a lot of thought into your outfit isn’t needed.  A big sweatshirt and sweatpants is all you need to keep you warm and comfy while roasting marshmallows.Chelsea Crockett - Over-Sized Sweater Look

If you’re attending more of a party/bonfire, you’ll need a fashionable, yet warm, autumn outfit to wear.  Since over-sized sweaters are a huge trend in the fashion world, they’re perfect to throw on with your favorite pair of leggings.  Pair this with your favorite boots and you’re set.  I prefer combat boots because, in addition to keeping your toes warm, they’re also stylish and edgy.  If you want to accessorize, try wearing a scarf and purse to match.  Even throw on a beanie to make your look trendier.

Of course, you can always take the even dressier route.  Denim and plaid are both two styles that are hot in Hollywood right now.  If you choose to wear either of these patterns, try rocking a long-sleeved button up.  Instead of buttoning it up, leave it open and show off your favorite shirt or V-neck.  As for pants, simply wearing jeans or leggings will work just fine.

Good luck and have fun!

            What’s up insiders?

Beanie hats are not only good for keeping you warm, but also for making a look go from ordinary to trendy.  You may assume you just throw on one of these and you’re set, but first you should probably read up on your “Beanie 101”WinkChelsea Crockett - Beanies

If you’re looking for a more edgy outfit, a black or grey beanie is the perfect accessory.  Although plain, solid-colored beanies will work, try finding one with a cool logo or emblem on the front.  This will look better when you pair your hat with skinny jeans and a leather jacket.  Also, throw on some combat boots and a concert tee.  This will give you the street look that’s a definite “in” in Hollywood right now.

As for more of a sweet, girly look, find a light, pastel colored beanie.  These are a super cute accessory to pair with an oversized sweater and leggings.  Get out your boots and a cross-over purse to finish up a casual, yet stylish outfit.

Most of the time, I see most trend-setters rocking an over-sized beanie and slouching it towards the back of their head.  If you’d rather find a more fitting one to wear normally on the top of your head, that’s perfectly fine!  Don’t be afraid to make the style your own!  That’s what fashion’s all about, isn’t it?
