Calling all shopaholics! Do you plan on going out and braving the crowds this Black Friday? If you are, then you really need to read these important tips! They will help you get the best deals possible, and they will give you some tips on how to stay safe when braving the masses!

  1. Do your research and browse the deals before you go. If you are looking for something specific, like a certain electronic item, then you need to research which stores are selling the item and which one offers the best price. You also need to check out what time the stores that you want to hit are open. Some stores open early on black Friday, some stores don’t open until late at night, the times can be all over the place! The best thing to do to stay organized is to keep a notebook or a sheet of paper with you that has each store you want to go to, the time they open, and what items you want to look for when you get there and their price. When you have a ton of people rushing around you, the best thing to be is organized and to have a game plan.
  2. TAKE AN ADULT WITH YOU. Ladies, I cannot stress this enough, take an adult with you! On black Friday, you will encounter countless crazy, frantic people trying to snatch and grab up items. You do not want to get in a compromising position or in a dangerous situation without having an adult to help you. Also, adults can help you find the items you need and can advise you on the best deals.

Stay safe this Black Friday, ladies! Good luck!

Hey insiders!  When it comes to joining a new school, I think of nerves and wanting to fit in.  Some of you may have moved to a new state and already have butterflies about the first day of class.  Others could be transitioning into high school or junior high.  Whatever it is, we all have those first-day-of-school nerves that we just can’t shake off!  Here are a few tips to help calm you down.Chelsea Crockett - School

#1: Be yourself!  When it comes to making new friends, being yourself is the perfect way to find a group of friends that fit you.  This way you can have fun without trying to be someone you’re not.

#2: Join clubs!  Whether it’s a volleyball or art club, you’ll be sure to find people with the same interests as you!  You’ll also have a fun time while doing it!

#3: Don’t get into the wrong crowd!  If you ever feel yourself uncomfortable with your new group of friends, don’t feel the need to stay with it.  Peer pressure is an awful thing and it’s easier to get out in the beginning than trying to use the same excuses over and over again.

Joining a new school is not as nearly as bad as everyone thinks!  With these tips, there’s no need to be nervous.  Just be yourself and have fun!

Back to School: Ways to Organize Your Locker

Hey everyone!  We don’t want to accept it, but school is coming up faster than we think.  Staying organized is one of the biggest things we need to do…

Hey everyone!  We don’t want to accept it, but school is coming up faster than we think.  Staying organized is one of the biggest things we need to do to succeed throughout the year.  Whether you’re in high school or grade school, you will most likely have a locker to be responsible for keeping it clean and organized.

Chelsea Crockett - LockerFirst off, dividing and keeping your books in a certain spot each day is a good way to quickly know which book to grab before class.  Buying locker shelves or dividers are perfect for organizing your books, binders, and notebooks.  Click here to check out Amazon’s selection of locker accessories!  To help remember which books are which, try organizing them alphabetically, by color, or in order of your classes.  This will help you easily remember which books to throw in your backpack before class.

Another fun tip is to keep a small whiteboard on the side of your locker.  This way you can write notes, reminders, and needed homework for the next day or for what to take home.  Every once and a while remember to take out any old and unneeded homework or papers.  A cluttered locker leads to an unorganized one!

Hope this makes going back to school a little easier!

3 Secrets to Growing Your Hair Long and Strong

Hey darlings! Do you ever get frustrated with having short hair? Do you get tired of waiting months and months for it to grow to the length you want? Today…

Hey darlings!

Do you ever get frustrated with having short hair? Do you get tired of waiting months and months for it to grow to the length you want? Today I am going to fill you in on the three secrets of growing your hair long and strong!

Tip#1:

Take vitamins! Vitamins give your hair strength which helps prevent breakage. When your hair starts getting split ends, it causes it to break off and get shorter. Vitamins also strengthen your immune system which promotes hair growth. A supplement I recommend is Biotin, which is a naturally occurring B-vitamin. It renews the follicles and roots of the hairs that are already growing. It gives you thicker, fuller, and healthier hair!

 Tip#2:

Drink lots of water! Drinking water increases the amount of moisture in your hair. Water makes up approximately one fourth of the weight of a strand of hair and when hair has the proper amount of water, it will respond by being strong and shiny. Also, Water is just plain healthy for you! By upping your water intake, you are making your body healthier, which will make your hair healthier.chelsea crockett water

 Tip#3:

Give yourself a scalp massage! By massaging your scalp, whether it is in the shower while you are shampooing or just sitting on the couch watching TV, Can increase the blood flow throughout your scalp and stimulate hair growth! chelsea crockett shampoo

Summertime Skin Tips

Hey ladies!  Keeping your skin healthy is a daily struggle for girls year round, but during the summer this task seems even more difficult.  As we all know, there…

Hey ladies!  Keeping your skin healthy is a daily struggle for girls year round, but during the summer this task seems even more difficult.  As we all know, there are lots of products to try out on our skin to reduce unwanted breakouts.  But what we don’t know is that there are many things we can do in our everyday routine to reduce our imperfections.

Chelsea Crockett - WaterSince it is summer, most of us will be spending the majority of our time outside in the high temperatures and hot sun.  Be sure to get very comfortable with H2O.  Water helps maintain the moisture in our skin and body.  Our body needs at least eight glasses of water to stay properly hydrated.  If you’re a soda or coffee drinker and need your daily boost of caffeine, you’ll need to triple the amount of water you drink!

Because summer is a time for fun in the sun activities, make sure you apply (and reapply) sunscreen!  Some of us think we only need to apply sunscreen once and we’re set for the day.  But studies show that to have full protection, we must apply every hour and a half to two hours.  If we don’t, the result will be a sunburn.  Sunburns damage the molecules in our skin and produce redness, pain, swelling, and sometimes peeling.  Another negative is that they make you feel hot and tired, and who wants that?Chelsea Crockett - Exfoliating Skin

Another quick tip is to exfoliate your skin.  Doing this gets rid of the dead skin on your face.  If you don’t get rid of it, it sets on your face making it look dry, dead, and dull.

Hope this helps you get glowing and healthy skin!
