To the people who say that turtlenecks are totally not cute, I say think again! They keep you cozy warm in the chilly temps all while rocking a stylish fashion staple. Layer them under coats, over skirts, tucked into jeans, any way you want! Here are my 3 favorite ways to wear them this winter.

Edgy and chic: If you want to try an edgy or trendy look, pair a gray turtleneck sweater with a leather jacket, some black skinnies, and black booties. The shorter length of the leather jacket will nicely contrast with the longer hem of the turtleneck, adding dimension to the outfit.
Sweet and simple: A simple turtleneck is a very effortlessly classy look. Pair a simple, colored turtleneck with casual skinnies and flats for a sweet everyday outfit.
Fun and flirty: I love this turtleneck sweater/leather skirt/plaid shirt combo. Add in tights and boots for a fun, feminine outfit for a night with the girls!

Hip hip hooray for ankle boot season! Ankle boots are a breed of boots that look best with a specific style of jeans: skinny jeans. Knee boots can be paired with a plethora of jean styles, but skinny jeans work best with our beloved ankle booties. Here are my tips on how to wear/style ankle booties this season.

Flat and fabulous: Most of the ankle booties I own have a bit of a heal to them, but I am really digging the flat bottomed bootie this season! It is subtle and simple. Pair flat ankle booties with skinnies, a patterned button up shirt, and a leather jacket for a stylish, easy ensemble.
Roll it, don’t scrunch it: Rather than shoving the hem of jeans that are too long into your boots, roll the cuffs! This is a cute alternative to letting them bunch or awkwardly pop out of the tops of your boots. If your favorite jeans have a bit of a flare to them at the bottom, just roll ‘em up!
Be aware of your hemline: This goes for all booties. As a rule of thumb, make sure the hem of your jeans hit about an inch above your ankle. This ensures your jeans are at the perfect length to show of those cute booties!
