There are so many times throughout my life that I’ve looked up to God and thought, “God, what do you want me to do/know/say?” I always go searching for His perfect answers and advice, but oftentimes find myself frustrated, and left wondering what to do.

God sees our frustration and confusion. He wishes just as much as we do that he could sit right next to us and tell us exactly what to do. From reading countless Bible passages and through various devotionals and Bible plans, I’ve came up with a short list of a few things God would want us to know as if He were sitting right next to us, guiding us every step of the way.

  1. Good things come to those who wait.

Patience, patience, patience… God puts so much value on patience and finding peace in the waiting. He knows our eagerness and desire to predict the future, but His plan is always so much better than we could ever imagine!

  1. He loves us unconditionally, despite our flaws.

Ladies let’s face it, we can be so unbelievably hard on ourselves. We can go on and on about our flaws and imperfections… or at least that’s what we think they are. In Psalm 139:13-14, the Bible reminds us of what God thinks of us. The verses say, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

This passage can serve as a mini prayer for you. Repeat it over and over in your head until you truly believe what the verses say!

  1. He is here for us, always.

Whenever we feel desperate and alone, God wants so badly for us to turn to Him. God reminds us of this so many times throughout the Bible: “Fear not, for I am with you.” We never have to feel like we’re alone because God is alongside us every step of the way!

  1. His plan for us is perfect.

I oftentimes find myself wanting to have control over my future, and it can be so hard to let go of that control. Whenever something occurs in life that makes me think “why, God?” I always remember that God’s timing and reasoning is far beyond my knowledge.

  1. Sometimes, letting go is the only thing we can do.

God watches us go through life and hold onto the things that hinder us, whether that be a relationship, a friend, etc. He is so badly wanting to tell us that it’s okay to let go! Sometimes those people or relationships are the things keeping us from getting closer to Him, and hindering us from carrying out His perfect plan!

Remember these things next time you look into the mirror or get out of bed in the morning. Our heavenly father loves us, cares for us, guides us, and so much more, whether we realize it or not!
