I know you’re all just as excited as I am for school to be over…summer is finally here, yay!! Laying out by the pool and hanging outside with my friends is a common occurrence in the summer time. With the sun pounding down, it can get really hot laying outside for hours upon hours. I’ll show you some of my favorite summer drinks and how to make them to beat the heat.
Watermelon and lemonade are two of my favorite summer treats, so why not combine them? Watermelon lemonade is delish and so easy to make! Using a food processor or blender, blend the watermelon until it is a smooth liquid. Then, place the liquid through a strainer to remove the pulp. If you want to make your own homemade lemonade, click here. If you want to take the easy route, like me, then you can add the watermelon juice to a pre-maid lemonade or powdered lemonade you can mix yourself. There you have it, refreshing watermelon lemonade!
Another fun drink is Kool-Aid Sprite, otherwise known as “Magic Potion”. Using an ice cube tray, pour your favorite flavors of Kool-Aid to make Kool-Aid ice cubes. After the Kool-Aid is frozen, add them to your glass of Sprite. While you’re out in the hot sun, the Kool-Aid will slowly melt. Each sip will be a different flavor! It’s an ever-changing drink.
Have a great summer!
