                Have you ever reached for that bag of chips after a day out by the pool, but decided not to eat them because they are bad for you?  I do that all the time, except I usually eat a few…opps!  Summer is the best time to get your body in shape.  I’m going to give you a few healthy options for summer snacks to keep your body energized.  Your body will love you for it!  They are easy to prepare and tasty as well!ChelseaCrockett- Cucumber Sandwiches

                Crackers and cheese is always a quick option for a snack.  Crackers are full of carbs and really high in sodium.  A great alternative to crackers are cumber slices.  They are low carb and just as yummy!  Slice them thick or thin and enjoy with your favorite kind of cheese.

                Chelsea Crockett- Orange SmoothieAnother great snack or breakfast option is a smoothie.  Full of fresh fruit, juices, and yogurt, a smoothie will give your body all the nutrients it needs!  Adding a small handful of spinach will take your smoothie to a whole new level…and you can’t even taste it!  Click here for a handful of my favorite smoothie recipes!

                My last healthy option is whole wheat tortillas.  They can be used for a variety of snacks!  Spreading peanut butter and sliced bananas on a whole wheat tortilla and rolling it up makes for a sweet summer snack.  A great lunch option is adding your favorite deli meat and cheese to a whole wheat tortilla.  It’s much better for you than bread!  I hope you all can start snacking smart and being healthy!
